My first visit to Surat Thani & what a great start to the visit with checking into Rajthani Hotel. Nice friendly greeting from the security guard when I parked my motorcycle. He even rushed to help move some scooters for me to park my big bike. Friendly staff at the check in desk too! All smiles and friendliness. Location is amazing with short walks to the night market and river. Nice big rooms, tastefully decorated and very clean! Definitely on my return list of hotels.

Merupakan kali pertama menginap di hotel ini kerana transit satu malam dari koh samui nak ke airport suratthani, Evertyhing was good dari proses check in yang tak mengambil masa yang lama dengan deposit sebanyak 100bht dan dipulangkan semasa check out, saya dapat bilik family room yang sangat luas dan katil ada sebanyak 5 katil sesuai untuk anak yang ramai, hanya seberang jalan ada stesen bus if berjalan kaki hanya 2 minit tak sampai, sekitar juga ada terdapat pasar malam di sebelah malam tetapi satu je masalah makanan halal susah nak cari sekitar hotel ni, saya hanya makan KFC di dalam shopping mall seberang jalan. Yang lain semua okay

Stunning concept hotel”

The Rajthani Hotel locates nest to main road, Talad Mai, easy access to most of the attractions especially Surat Thani Night Market. I love the lobby, the decoration and the concept is so stunning.

Friendly Owner Central Location Clean Room”

The owner is extremely friendly and took the time to introduce us few places for seafood. He also help to arrange taxi with good price to take us to places without any extra charges. The hotel is very clean and they occupied the whole upper floors of buildings so there are quite a number of rooms even the entrance may give you a feeling that the hotel is small. It is certainly not ! We enjoy our stay there and definitely will stay there again and recommend other friends to do the same. Hotel is very near to evening food street so it is nice to sample local food. It is also behind of transport hub 1 & 2 where you can take buses/vans to anywhere in Thailand. There is also an airport bus station nearby. The hotel can arrange taxi to airport and if you have more than 2 person it is very good price. Overall Excellence ! and keep up the efforts.

One word - convenient! ”

We were here for a night after 4 nights in Koh Samui due to early morning flight back to Kuala Lumpur via Surat Thani International Airport on the next day. From what I have gathered, this new hotel used to be an old hotel that have been revamped and renovated to one of the newest hotel in town. Centrally located in Surat Thani City, it is just a walking-distance from the night market. We are very satisfied with the service from the hotel. They arranged an airport transfer for the next day with the fixed rate of 300THB for 30 minutes journey, despite the city cabs are rampant and well known for overcharging the tourists. However, I have pointed out to the hotel owner on the bathroom. The bathroom could be very small to certain people, but it is fine for your short stay. The cleanliness is on point!

Little Gem in Surat Thank”

Extremely clean and functional hotel. Friendly staff, lovely interior in the reception area with a cool little coffee shop/cafe inside. We only stayed one night as a stopover to Koh Samui. I would say that the rooms were functional and could do with some finishing touches to warm them up like in the photos. We had plain white beds , no lamps, cushions or artwork so it felt a little bit clinical. Other than that it was a great little find for the price. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Good location for transit from hotel to airport suratthani,only 30minutes . And 5minutes walk to station bus phantip travel, bcz so close with hotel. And 5minutes walk to night market suratthani & family mart.

Clean and Comfortable Near Night Market”

Stayed here for a night en route to Samui. From the airport, we took the Phantip bus to town for 100 baht and got off the last stop at Phantip bus station at town center. The hotel was just a 3 min walk down the street from there. Easy to find! During the night, we walked to the night market just around the corner which serves great local food for cheap! Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Next morning, just walked out to Phantip and booked our bus+ferry to Samui for 250 baht. Convenient! Hotel is sparkling clean, great wifi and staff speaks very good English. Looks like it may have been newly remodeled. Super cheap stay and great value for money.

Sweet Spot”

This hotel is very conveniently located within comfortable walking distance of a night market, the river market, the local "mall," bus and van transport hub, eateries and coffee shops. The price was also quite fair for what we received; a large 1-bedroom sweet with separate living room area. The view wasn't great, and the room seemed a bit dated. Also, the air conditioner in the living room did not get cool, and the issue was not fixed while we stayed there. "Sweet spot" for location and price. I'd stay here again.

Nice stay, perfect location”

If you just stay a one or more nights in Suratthani this is the perfect place. Clean, quiet, fantastic bedding and nice and helpful staff. Many good places to eat in the neighborhood. And the evening market on walking distance. Can't go wrong if you choose to stay here.

Great value hotel - noisy road though so bring good earplugs”

This is a good little hotel for an overnight stop in Surat Thani. Location is good and you’re near a night market for food. We had a quadruple room which was spacious and clean. The lobby is welcoming and the hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful, confirming our onward ferry travel and booking a transfer with the ferry company for us. The main issue is with the noise from the road outside. The windows have some kind of air vent at the top and are also single glazed - with some loud engines it feels like the car is in the room with you! Ask for a room as far away from the road as possible! The air conditioner in our room was also quite loud - but helped to drown out the noise of the traffic! If I had to stay for two nights, I would be searching for better ear plugs... Breakfast is not included but there is a small coffee bar attached to the hotel lobby.

Pros + Location is the best, easy to find something to eat, near the night market, near the bus station, convenient to connect to Suratthani Airport and Koh Samui/Pha-ngan + Low price, suit budget travelers + Car park provided Cons - Bed is very hard - No hairdryer - No liquid soap (1 piece of soap provided) - No hair towel - The wall is not soundproof. You will hear everything from outside since early morning

Good for enjoy the food in Surat and easy for drive to attractions ”

This place in the center of Surat province. If you want to rent the car and drive around the city, this is one of good choice. They facility is enough for stay but if you want a swimming pool or gym or else this place did not have it.

The hotel is very new and locate in the center of city which we can just walk to the night market and the famous restaurant in the area.Definitely come back and recommend to everyone.

Front desk could be more acommodating”

We turned up at this place at 4am after traveling for 22hrs to be greeted by a very impolite receptionist who wanted to charge us the night 700 baht for 2hrs in a room then 300 to check in 6am to our room which was extortionate. I refused and ended up sitting in the loby till 6am which was not very good especially when the room was clearly not ocuppied at the time after refusing they let us check in at 6am with no cost. I would have been happy to pay an early check in fee but to pay 700 baht for 2hrs the early check in of 300 baht thats alot and the room was empty as nobody had psmassed us in the lobby and the room was unused when we entered. Other than this the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The other staff were polite as were security. I would stay again but take offence at trying to be extorted out of money for the sake of checking in 2 or 3 hrs earlier than the 6am early check in time when the room wasnt even occupied thats bad customer service.

Way better than expected”

After having a disappointing stay in a hotel in Koh Phangan rated 3 stars I was expecting worse. The hotel is simple but clean and it has good taste. The staff is very kind and helpful. It doesn't offer much but what they give you is top class. Good towels and a clean room. You won't get free coffee and tea, just the two bottles of water you get everywhere in Thailand. Anyways I assume most people are just passing by to get somewhere else so it's perfect for that. It's very close to the night market where you can buy cheap authentic Thai food. Also, they will book a taxi to the airport for you if you ask for 350 baht. It was just what I needed and definitely recommend it.
