Great little bungalow and great restaurant ”

Booked one night stay and picked Rapala as it was the best rated hotel in our budget. Bungalow was charming although I agree with some of the other reviews...the bathroom wasn’t the best. We also had lunch at the restaurant which was surprisingly good. Vegetarian options for every meat dish which is always good and the prices were on the cheaper side. Would recommend for a couple nights stay.

Rustic Bungalows”

Great little place up the stairs ( lots of them) away from the night life. Wi-Fi is good in the lobby however it doesn't reach the Bungalo's. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but I didn't have a Sim card so I could only communicate through Wi-Fi. I did not eat there, but there is a small bar at the bottom of the steps . Bungalows are basic with screens on the window and a bug net over the bed. Toilet is a bucket toilet and the walls are bamboo so they didn't keep out the nature, which was fine. I had a room with the fan and a double bed. They offer you two towels and then one big towel as a top sheet . I travel with a sleeping bag liner and found that that was all I needed with the heat . All in all good place! Beware of Roosters!!! ( bring earplugs)

Dirty and too expensive ”

Very poor quality bedroom for the price. No toilet flush... But use a bowl. Dirty bedroom and no sheets. Would be OK for a low price but here it was very expensive. Expensive restaurant as well. Would not recommand.

Ok”

It’s hard to say because most of the service was on quarantine. The restaurant was close. If not for this it will be Ok.

Short but very pleasent stay due to covid”

I only stayed one night at Rapala because the staff got covid unfortunately and they couldn’t manage the services like cleaning and the kithcen. So they were very fair and gave me the money back for the upcoming nights. The two ladies who left from the staff were very very kind. I stayed at the deluxe bungalow. It was very clean and the scent of the Fabric softener in the air was so nice. I wish I could have tasted the food there. The resting area was very calming, beautiful view, very clean. At night little loud music came in to the room, but not from Rapala, maybe somewhere near. And the rain was sooo loud during the night. This was the only negative I can say about the place. I would really reccomend to stay here if you are looking for something cheaper on the island. Nice, beautiful and clean! place. Very helpful and kind staff. ☺️🥰

Nice place to stay!”

Really nice staff, nice bungalows but at night and afternoon you could listen de music from neighbour bars... A pitty, cuz that is the only thing we did not like! The rest, super!

Loved the common area but not our room”

The resort has cute hippy vibe to it and I loved the common area where you can sit with the ocean view and enjoy their restaurant. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and delicious but in small portions. The staffs were so nice, friendly and helpful. I did enjoy everything but our double room with shared bathroom. I have stayed in many hostels and didn't mind the outdoor shared bathroom in this resort but for people who can't handle bugs. The problem with me was the room, especially the bed. I do have a sensitive skin and the first night I slept there, I had a few red bites on my legs and arms. It was too itchy and didn't look like mosquito bites. The room is like a bungalow so it was easy for bugs to get in. Not sure what the hives were but It did get better once I checked out and moved to a different hotel. I should have stayed in a nicer room that they had there. Some rooms had roof top and hammock and looked suer fancy. Don't go for a cheaper room like I did.

Exceptional”

We really enjoyed our stay! Had a deluxe bungalow with our own rooftop terrace, clean, comfortable and the staff was SOOOO sweet and caring! Would stay there again. Definitely recommend!!!

Everything was great.The owner was very friendly.The room exceeded my expectations that comfortable and clean.It can feel home!

A Peaceful Room in Nature”

Located on Railay East (with mangrove trees along the shore), the area is peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna, and the highlight of our stay was meeting the owner’s friendly dog, SeeMuk! The room we got was value for money on an otherwise expensive island, however the image shown in the booking was for a different room. Ours was a basic double bed with fan (in a row of 4 rooms), with a shared bathroom outside. May not be suitable for guests with difficulty climbing stairs as there are about 50 steps to get up to the hotel.

You're paying for location”

So we loved Raliay beach! It's beautiful and iconic thailand. Rapala was tge cheapest we could find at 20 pound a night and thats what we got! fan room, it was clean-ish with bugs everywhere and you had to flush the toilet manually. The food at the restaurant was fair and staff were friendly enough. It was very pretty outside the bungalow. There was a lot of construction going on when we were there and they did have some way nicer bungalows there that I'm sure if you paid more this would be delightful place. The pool was not impressive at all and showers were cold. But if it's cheap in a pretty pricey location then this will do!

Udany pobyt”

Domki wymagają pracy ale ogólnie dają super klimat. Nie przeszkadzają nawet małpy skaczące po dachu :) malutki basen ale działający i czysty. Zdecydowanie polecamy :)

Nice tradisional thai bangalow”

Nice as i am very familiar with thai bangalow. Insect is normal thing. Location not for weak knee and small kids. My son is 7 and he enjoy the place very much

La limpieza y los gallos”

La gente es muy servicial. El precio es bueno para el lugar. Railey es impresionante. Hay buena actitud y buen servicio. Pero no conocen la palabra limpieza. Yo, mi chica y mis compañeros, todos con dolor de garganta de respirar el polvo de las sabanas y la mosquitera. Tanto es asi que cuando nosotros barriamos , recogimos bichos muertos. La mosquitera la tuvimos que quitar porque yo nunca he visto algo con tanto polvo. Asi que no hay mas remedio que dejar que te piquen los mosquitos. Las habitaciones son normales, estan bien para el precio. Lo importante es el lugar. Tambien un error es que crian gallos y gallinas. Y bueno, pagar por un hotel donde a las 5:30 - 6:00 tienen gallos.... pues esta bien si eres madrugador. Es que parece una broma. Un hotel que tiene gallos. La gente agradable, los precios baratos. Pero hay que cambiar las sabanas de unos clientes a otros señores del hotel.

El único inconveniente que la piscina es un barreño. Pero teniendo en cuenta que estás rodeado de playas increíbles ni la usamos.

Une belle alternative ”

Après un resort luxueux nous avons choisi de séjourner dans un petit Bungalow avec toi terrasse. Le personnel est jeune et hyper serviable et aimable. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Le grand luxe est le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec vue sur la mer. L'hôtel se situe en hauteur.

Certes les bungalows ne sont pas de première jeunesse, mais ils sont tout de même confortable et propre Bon emplacement, à quelques minutes des plages et loin de l'agitation Je recommande

1 nuit à Railey”

Bungalow agréable et sommaire, avec ventilateur. Suffisant pour une nuit. Moustiquaire au-dessus du lit. Attention la salle de bain est accessible via un escalier très glissant, équipements très sommaires (douche qui fuit, lavabo avec robinet d'extérieur). La salle de bain est tout le temps mouillée par terre à cause de la fuite. Du coup le mur en briques entre la salle de bain et la chambre est imbibé d'eau (ne pas mettre votre sac contre ce mur). Sinon hôtel très sympa, dommage que la petite piscine soit fermée pour réparations. Le personnel récupére votre sac et le porte pour la montée et descente (avec un petit chariot très pratique!). Emplacement agréable avec la mangrove et des resto et bars pas loin.

+ le grand lit, la moutiquaire, le calme, le hammac sur le péron, le restaurant a disposition mais pas top non plus, l emplacement un peu excentré mais pas trop - les marches pour y acceder ca peut ne pas convenir à tous, le personnel un peu bizarre, la salle de bain ouverte donnant possibilite a tout insectes de rentrer, les fourmis rouges ans la chambre qui se sont incrustées dans mon sac et qui m ont bien embêté pdt un moment ! pour finir on avait trouve un super coquillage qu on avait posé en desous des marches le dernier jour et qu on s est fait piquer 10 min avant de partir... on etait vert..
