Cosy base for weekend in Sydney ”

River was an absolute delight to deal with, the location was perfect and the room cosy with such comfy beds

Regents Court Apartments were perfect for our weekend in Sydney. It was super easy to get around with Kings Cross station just down the road, and a comfortable 20 min walk to the CBD. Lots of lovely little cafes and restaurants nearby, and easy to get to supermarkets. The kitchenette was small but handy, but we didn't end up using it much. Especially recommend the lovely French cafe around the corner, and the markets in the square on Saturdays - lots of delicious international foods available. Thanks to River for your wonderful hospitality.

Comfortable and with friendly services”

Free wifi, Early checkin available and Friendly staff

My stay with 2 other friends were relatively comfortable. We arrived at around 12pm despite checkin being 2pm, and were accommodated with early checkin. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, as we booked our trip to the blue mountains and hotel shuttle through the front desk. The room was large and the beds were clean. However the toilet and the carpet could be cleaner, as the bath curtain and shower hose had obvious stains. The carpet was also relatively dirty. However in general we could ignore those flaws as the bed and towels were clean. The price we paid was also worth it, with free and fast wifi available. Being located between Potts Point and Kings Cross, some could feel uncomfortable with the crowd in Kings Cross, however being careful and cautious while walking on the way back to the hotel should be okay. The hotel could also be walkable to/from the CBD area, the walk being a 20mins+ journey. Otherwise the hotel is near Kings Cross station, although we did not use it at all as we walked everywhere in Sydney. Check out the Bourke Street Bakery branch nearby the hotel along Macleay Street, the slightly pricey food there is worth it. There are also Harris Farm and Coles supermarkets nearby.

Strategic location, but the area is shady”

Location is near the businest district at night

kings cross area is a street full of bars and nightclubs. during the day not much activity can be found in the area. but during the night suddenly there are queues everywhere. the area might be unsuitable for families or someone who travels with young children. overall, the area is pretty far from the cbd. regents court itself is part of the 8 hotel, so an acceptable standard of service should be expected. overall, if i want to travel back to sydney, i think i will choose a hotel closer to cbd

Lovely staff but rooms not serviced often enough”

Large well appointed rooms

The outside of the hotel looked delightful. That makes a big difference for me - because I love the first impressions of a new place. Our room was very large and had all the amenities you could think of (except only 2 coat hangers!!). The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. They had a rooftop garden but there was construction at the time so it was not so enjoyable. IT was raining quite often though so we werent missing out on much. We were also not advised that the elevator was out of service. I had a very heavy bag and since this was not a hotel, staff did not offer to help me get it up or down stairs. They were managing a pest problem at the time too. Management brought in a pest control guy with his rat hunting dog to inspect our room whilst we were there. We saw very many rats on the rooftop garden. None at all in our room or in the inside of the building though. the streets were crawling with them. The particular room we had was right next to the stairs. and the age of the building meant that anytime anybody came up them we heard very very load thump thump thump. coupled with the noise of kings cross, it is definitely not the quietest of rooms. The location is excellent - not far from kings cross station, right next to a food market and there is a little DVD vending machine outside which we used a few times. All in all we found it pretty good - especially for the price. I did feel we caught them at a bad time of year though.

Big clean room”

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. We originally stayed at the Quest hotel a block away, but were disappointed overall. This room was huge and clean. We really liked it here a lot. It is an older building/room, but still had class and was comfortable. And it was well kept. We would stay here again without a doubt.

No no”

We got a room no.3. Its in the first floor. The room looked so bright and wonderful online but when I got in I surprisingly found out there were 2 horror photos hanging on the walls. I still couldn’t figure why the hotel does it. Eventually, the weather in sydney was 5-7 celsius at night, we turned the A.C at 20 celsius but I still felt absolute hot in the middle of the night... pretty scared. I just wanted to leave asap. Bad experience ever. Plus before this hotel we spent 8 nights at zara tower & mantra on kent and I felt extra normal staying there.

The eccentric charm of Regents Court”

Charming, unspoilt period decor, very quiet with no traffic noise, very spacious room

We were utterly charmed by the unspoilt period decor of this older hotel. Our room had the most extraordinary wall lights that looked unassuming, but when switched on created a nightly fabulous art-deco display. The fold-into-the-wall spare bed with its timber panelling was a thing of eccentric charm, and the main bed was very comfortable. The lacquered-wood bench running the length of the room was so useful and capacious, as well as lovely to look at. The bathroom was small but very nicely tiled and clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure. We especially loved being able to slide open the large window and sit looking into the street below, then could close it and have the air-conditioning on when the heat became too much. We only paid a brief visit to the roof terrace but it was beautiful, and obviously someone had invested a lot of time and love into the massive array of flowering pot plants. There is no food or room service, but plenty of good eateries nearby. Can't wait to go back.

Great location, Nice staffs, Everything needed was included

It was a pleasurable stay for the three of us. The triple apartment is spacious and comfortable. Everything we needed is basically included. Supermarket and convenient stores are just nearby. Restaurants, bars and even travel agents are within walking distance. Some may concern about the safety living around the bar district, actually all of us (girls) feel it was pretty safe living there, even in the middle of the night. The staffs are super nice and happy to help us with everything, special thanks to them. These really made us a memorable trip!
