Aonang Fiore Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Ao Nang,Krabi - View on map
"This was our first trip to Thailand and we stayed at this resort for 5 nights. We were easily able to get a public mini bus from Krabi airport to the hotel and this cost 150 baht per person. On arrival at the hotel (and throughout our stay) the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a tree top bungalow which was stunningly beautiful, huge room. I’m not sure I’ll have a bath with a view that good again! The rooms are up a steep hill but there was always a buggy with a friendly driver ready to take us up to our room. Because there’s only about 80 rooms the resort never felt busy and around the pool was always quiet and relaxing. We ate food from the restraunt twice & although the food was pleasant we mainly ate our in ao nang. Best places we found to eat outside of the hotel; jungle kitchen & Kodak kitchen. They do not sell alcohol at the hotel however there is a tesco next door and they were happy for us to bring drinks by the pool and in our room. Memories we will treasure."

Sand Sea Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Railay,Krabi - View on map
"Our stay was awesome! So much so that we went to Phi Phi for a few nights, then skipped Krabi town and came back here! The pool is a little small and crowded, the check in staff can be a little slow and the eggs lady at breakfast was pretty clueless but apart from that I totally loved it here. One thing their website doesn't say is that while it's in Krabi it's only accessible by boat. We drove, and had a hard time finding the office to park our car at but we found it in the end near the jetty. Our car was safe for a period of 5 nights and parking was free. The boat ride over was cheap, but pack light because lugging a suitcase from boat to boat wears thin! When you're at Realeigh Beach Krabi (the beach this hotel is on) make sure you walk around and check out the whole area - east and west side. Tip: get up early, the beach was deserted until about 8am (so too was the breakfast buffet). Meals in the restaurant were super tasty, much more expensive than other areas but generous serves and really tasty. The hotel has an activities centre that organises great day trips - make sure you pop in there to do a day trip. A day trip to all the islands was great fun - Chicken Island etc. The boat that the hotel organised was by far the best boat out on the water that day, so while it might be a tad more expensive it was worth it. We left our wallets, keys etc on the boat and they were well looked after by the staff. They also did a head count each time we got out to swim so safety was important to them - definitely recommend doing this through the hotel. Walking Street is right next door, although pretty small so don't expect much. I'll be skipping Krabi town next time I'm in the area and heading straight here. Best hotel in Krabi I think! "

Krabi Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Ao Nang,Krabi - View on map
"We decided to spend songkran down at a beach location, and I had never been to Krabi before. When deciding on a Krabi hotel, I wanted a decent sized resort in a central location, that was right on the beach. Krabi Resort ticked all those boxes. When I arrived, I quickly determined that I had picked the optimal resort for the area as Krabi resort was the most centrally located, and one of only a very few that had direct access to the beach. The reason is the resort is one of the originals for the area, but the over the years it has expanded a lot, meaning you can choose between a lot of accommodation options, eg hotel style rooms, or semi detached rooms, to fully detached villas with their own private pool. The resort itself is large and they drive you to your room after you check in. Facilities include two pool areas (one done like a pirate ship), a fantastic gym, large scale chess board with pieces set up, multiple restaurants, mini golf, bicycles for rent, beach, massage etc."

Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi (SHA Extra Plus)
Ao Nang,Krabi - View on map
"Before going to Krabi I read a lot of reviews (including TripAdvisor) and was amazed at the number of negative reviews. Main complaints were: shaky pier, hazardous walkway, expensive food, lack of service, unfriendly non-English speaking staff, slow drainage in the bath, to name a few. After being there I would say that we have been in a completely different place with good service, excellent food, clean rooms, etc. There some limitations which result from hotel's locations, for example the walkway - but it is like climbing up and down the stairs - no difficulty at all (I have not read a single review with complaint on central stairs of the resort - going from lobby to rooms in the upper raw - and that stairs are steeper than the walkway.) The main problem of the hotel is that some arriving guests do not quite understand where they are going and specifics of the hotel's isolated location - insufficient information both on website and on spot like it is done say in Ravadeeya for example. The hotel's prices are 2-3 times higher than in Ao Nang, but you definitely get the quality of services and food for that money. Quality of service is much higher than in most European, Mediterranean 5 star resorts, not to mention the UK and can be compared to other 5 star resorts in Thailand. The hotel in my opinion definitely lacks a proper lobby bar."

Aonang Princeville Villa Resort and Spa (SHA Extra Plus)

"I'm so satisfied with the service of this hotel and we have a pleasent stay there. I've booked a deluxe room and since I bring my mother in law along, i required to pay for extra bed and the staff have upgrade my room to grand deluxe which is more comfirt and clean with big bed as well. the toilet is super clean and breakfast was quit delicious and i can eat everything with no doubt as it serves halal foods. It is situated near to the beach and its very convenient to find street food, massage, agent, laundry and tuktuk, however for muslim to find popular restaurant with halal food it is advisable to rent a bike or take tuk2 as it is a bit far but however that is no issue to me. The only bad side was when agoda has not updated my booking although they have charge my card.We have arrived to hotel at 8 p.m and during check in Hotel claimed that they havent received my booking and lucky i bring my printed receipt from agoda on comfirmation of booking and they accept with no further inquiries and let us check in with room upgrade, it was so kind of them.Imagine if they not let us to check in as i was there with husband and 2 daughters and mother as well. They said they will confirm my booking with agoda the next day.On the next day, hotel said agoda didnt have my booking and i felt so embarassed as they said they cant deduct from my card and when i check my account they have refund sales on the day i travel to krabi with NO NOTIFICATION!! I felt so Upset, Angry and I have to called agoda Malaysia once again and fire them. They confirm my booking but need to check with agoda thailand and Thank god the issue was solve. I'll Be more careful to book with agoda next time. After all, I enjoyed my stay there, my family have a great time and great massage as well, will definitely suggest others to stay here . "

The Pavilions Anana Krabi (SHA Extra Plus)
Ao Nang,Krabi - View on map
"I would say Anana has provided a quality service to me and my girlfriend, the environment was chill and nice (except the shuttle bus was very limited) but getting tutu to the Ao Nang Beach is around 200 baht. The service at Anana was up to point and I would like to especially thank Rut and Ree for their service, with their warm greetings and helpful advice I had a great time at Krabi, e.g. they will tell us where is the best place to get local food and they would call tutu and communicate with the driver for us. We had a great experience at Anana for 6 days."

Peace Laguna Resort (SHA Extra Plus)

"We don't check out until tomorrow (currently sitting in our own cottage in paradise) but for those who are considering this hotel, I wanted to save you your time. Stop over thinking and BOOK IT already!! This is my first time in Thailand so I wanted everything to be perfect, I planed for months. Comparing different hotels back and fourth. I can't even express how happy I am that we not only chose Krabi instead of Phuket but that we chose to stay at the Peace Laguna Resort. Everything about this resort is incredible!! We chose the private cottage that sits on top of the lagoon. It is absolutely beautiful!!!! Killer mountain views, private dock with comfortable lawn chairs, outdoor shower, jacuzzi tub (great water pressure), great AC, stunning interior layout and a comfortable bed. I'm posting a ton of pictures below because describing it just wouldn't be the same. The location is wonderful, it's so close to the beach, we walk there every morning and night . The resort setting is perfect for any occasion including a wedding. There are multiple pools (our favorite was the pool right next to the bar) that have mountain views, The restaurant has delicious food and the staff are extremely friendly; especially the Manager, Ann, she and her staff are highly attentive and know great English. The pool closes at 7:00pm, we were in the mood for a quick dip and a cocktail around 6:40 but knowing that a majority of resorts/hotels would of said no, we decided to ask one of the employees if it was OK. They happily said yes and the cocktail was ready quickly and delicously, we had a Mai Tai (highly recommend this drink). The resort is right next to tons of amazing restaurants that are also vegan friendly; massages, tours, bars, markets and exceptionally lovely shops that you can buy souvenirs at. The resort, too, offers all of the above which is how we booked our tours and massages. If you have already booked this hotel, can I just say you have made the right choice!! Enjoy p"

Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Ao Nang,Krabi - View on map
"Cliff Beach is a really good value for the money. By Western standards it would be a 3-4 star hotel. In Krabi it was really helpful to stay at this kind of place because the staff was very willing to help out with booking the various kinds of trips that travelers come to Ao Nang to take. These are generally booked through an agency anyway (who charters their own boat in Thailand?) so why not have it at a convenient location you can get to by just rolling out of bed? The weather was unpredictable when we were there so it was nice to have a comfortable, DRY! home base that we could retreat to. They also make sure that there are always fresh bottles of water in your room. How sweet. Definitely try the drinks but avoid the creepy in-house "Activity Director"/Muay Thai instructor."

Ban Sainai Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Ao Nang,Krabi - View on map
"If you come from a city and staying in high-rise buildings most of your life, this is a good chance to stay in a kampong-style resort while in Krabi. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the cliff landscape with lush greeneries are captivating, and the place is super clean. With only 25 cottages, you almost feel like you own this kampong paradise. The swimming pool is usually empty, and the breakfast "hut" housed only 3 - 4 other couples. I don't know if it's due to a low September season, but when I booked this resort, I got the last room and all 25 cottages had occupants - still, the area is so quiet and peaceful - maybe everyone left for sunrise. Being the number 1 ranking resort in AoNang, I have to be frank and advise others that if you are looking for a super modern, beach-facing, luxurious resort, then Ban Sainai is not for you. I would not think that this resort will beat the 5-star upscale resorts that has infinity swimming pools (and probably packed as well) but it is certainly a gem in its own right. I didn't have any insect issues - didn't use any of the insect repellent and mozzie wipes! Tips: 1) Book an airport transfer with Ban Sainai at 600Baht if it is your first time in Krabi. It costs the same if you book a "taxi" (well, it's still a private van/car by a private company), so might as well book it with Ban Sainai. 2) Ban Sainai offers free daily tuk-tuk shuttles at specific timings to Ao Nang McDonalds, however, the last pick-up time ends rather early around 9.15pm. 3) You can rent a car (THB1,200/day) or a bike (THB250/day) from the Ban Sainai reception. Krabi SeaBass Hotel (SHA Extra Plus)
Krabi Town,Krabi - View on map
"We stayed here 2 nights in Krabi at the Seabass and compared to most of the hotels i've stayed in Thailand (so far its been 12) This has been one of the best. Close to the night market. Very clean. Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. a REAL shower. Let us check in early. The daily housekeeping was one of the best i've seen. Hotel looked brand new. The only bad thing I have to say about the hotel was they charge 500 Bhat for a taxi to the airport. I walked 5 minutes down the street and found one for 300. I really recommend this to anyone doing a short layover in Krabi town. "
