Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka
Namba,Osaka - View on map
"The hotel is at a good location, only few mins walk to the subway station. Lobby was beautiful and clean, reception was friendly however extremely slow. This time not sure why upon our check-in, the front desk told us they will upgrade us to a better room but with two single beds instead of one king bed as we booked. We said no it's ok we would still like to have the king size bed... I asked if it is because they were double booking, they said yes. I said then I'm okay to take something that is not what I booked, however maybe the hotel can offer the complimentary breakfast for the next morning. After a while they all a sudden said they have the room we booked. Aside from that strange question, the process is extremely slow. It took more than 30 mins for them to check in and the reason is that they let intern dealing with customers. I understand that most hotels have intern system, but usually with a supervisor standing aside to quickly teach them what to do. Won't stay here again."

RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"We stayed at the "Run of House" room in the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka for 4nights this time and we highly recommend it for family travelling with children. When we made the booking, we understood in general that it was hard to find a hotel room big enough in Japan so we were only looking for somewhere with a relatively larger room - we didn't realize what we booked in RIHGA was actually a Suite. It offered enough beds for everyone and a huge family bath/shower room. In addition, it has an extra living room (yes, that's correct!!), and an extra toilet room, which was a big nice surprise to all of us - and it was all reasonablely priced. RIHGA hotel itself is a grand hotel with quite a few nice restaurants and shops. Staff at the RIHGA are all very nice and speak good English. We would certainly like to come back in future."

Hotel New Otani Osaka
Osaka Castle & Kyobashi,Osaka - View on map
"We were blown away by this hotel. Walking into the magnificent lobby in our casual sight-seeing clothes we actually felt a little underdressed. Perhaps the excellent rate for which we booked the room through Agoda allowed us to stay somewhere a little more classy than we would otherwise - as make no mistake this is a classy hotel. We were immediately surrounded by helpful staff offering to take our luggage and assist us with checking in. Much to our surprise some very petite young women were employed as porters and I felt quite guilty as our porter struggled to get our pieces of luggage on and off the baggage cart - I couldn't help but assist her with them. Once we got to our room the best feature became clear with a commanding view of Osaka-jo Castle and Osaka-jo-koen park - which only got better as the sun set and the castle was lit up. This happened to be our last night on a 3 week Japan holiday and we couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay."

Osaka Joytel Hotel

"Our stay with Best Western Joytel Osaka was great. Checking-in and out was such a breeze and we were given a twin room instead of the standard double bed. The bathroom was clean and we enjoyed the fast internet service. It was a really great experience. "

Osaka Fujiya Hotel
Shinsaibashi,Osaka - View on map
"Stayed one night in a twin room on a weekend trip to Osaka. Hotel was clean and functional, with hairdryer, kettle toiletries and even nightgowns provided! Hotel wifi was fast and while not cheap, it wasn't bad value for a hotel in Japan, and the room was a decent size compared to some other Japanese business hotels too. I would stay there again. "

HOTEL FUKURACIA Osaka
Bay Area,Osaka - View on map
"Well, I was there for a concert so this hotel is pretty near the venue, just 5 mins walk to the venue. However this hotel is oretty far away from the nearest train station but it's still walkable distance, probably around 15 to 20mins of walk, you can hitch a cab if you want because it's gonna be cheap. Anyway, this hotel is nice by itself, the surroundings outside hotel gets abit dark in the night due to lack of lamp posts around so i wouldn't suggest a single lady to stay here. Oh one last thing, the staffs don't really speak other languages except Japanese."

InterContinental Hotel Osaka
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"I extended my trip so after coming back from Kobe and also st Regis in Osaka . We found a room at intercon again. One reason ... Well it's cheaper than st Regis ... I would say value for money both hotel are good ... And I shouldn't compare both in this comment . But let me tell u Y this place is good . First stay ... Normal room which is Hugh ... I never and cannot stay at room smaller than 25 sqm so this room here is like almost 50 sq.m When we check in 2nd time ... We somehow got upgrade to a twice bigger room I think it must be some executive suite with club benefit as it was on club floor ... NO one a informed us that we were upgraded or got club benefit ... But somehow ... We kinda know after we got into our room... Think it seems 100 sqm ! Rooms were awesome at 50 sqm and it was perfect at 100 sqm .. Club is one of the best anywhere as I tried many club rooms at others around the world ... And the quality that comes close is only the langham in HK ... Free flow champagne , all those small bites , good selection of sake , wine , and really good staff .. Asked them about restaurants from my room ( concierge ) when I informed them I will go to club before go out to dinner ... Maps and info are send to club staff and I was attended there without going to lobby and ask concierge ... Definitely one of the BEST hotel and service anywhere ... And I do a travel show for 10 years !! 👍👌"

Imperial Hotel Osaka
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"We like the room. The room is spacious and the toilet is huge. The water from the shower is very very strong. Best. The staff are very friendly. We stayed in few hotels during this trip, we have to say that their staff are the best. We arrived quite early and were not allowed to check in yet which is their practice. We asked if we can use the shower at the swimming pool to refresh ourselves while waiting to get our room in few hours time. To our surprise, we were informed that we have to pay for the use of the toilet at the swimming pool area it’s for their club members. Just a note to those who wish to swim in their Swimming pool, you have to pay. Apparently this is common in japan. Breakfast- we were very very disappointed with their breakfast for a 5 stars hotel. It was the worst among all the hotels we stayed during our trip this time. The quality of the food is bad and lack of varieties. If u have to pay a lot for the breakfast, my suggestion is to eat out. Not worth the price. There is nothing much nearby the hotel. U can walk to the castle which takes about 30 mins walk. U can see nice river n nice view behind the hotel. During sakura season, u can see many Sakura flowers along the river. The hotel provides shuttle bus to and from Osaka train station. It’s quite frequent. It takes about 15 to 20 mins to reach the hotel or Osaka train station. Conclusion, u get good room with nice view, but u have to take note of the location of the hotel which is not near the subway and in a quite area. To compensate for the location, the hotel provides high frequency of free shuttle bus. "
