Sriwilai Sukhothai (SHA Extra Plus)
Historical Park,Sukhothai - View on map
"We went to Sukhothai a couple of times although only for 1 night we never took care of the hotel we were staying, as long as was clean. This time we looked at the hotel more carefully and found out that, as per reviews and comments, Sriwilai was the best one and we wanted to try it and we are so happy we did. The hotel is perfect to experience a full complete Thai experience, "thainess" that at the end is what Sukhothai is all about. The hotel is located closed to the historical park and since the arrival, the music, the gardens, the sounds, the decoration get you immerse in that feeling of satisfaction and gladness of being in Thailand at this very same moment and time. Sukhothai is an important representation of Thailand history and the hotel represents that glimpse of uniqueness of history. The rooms are spacious, ours was kind of dark but we agree that getting a room through an OTA is what we get, nevertheless the view to the lotus pond, the walk through the vegetation and the corridor and the pleasant swimming pool make you forget that the views from the window are not that nice. The bathroom is full of amenities, is that kind of hotel where if you forget your toilettries back home, you wont miss them. That pool is stunning overlooking the rice paddy fields and the clean open air with not skyscrapers, tall buildings, just nature. We will be back very very soon! Thank you "

Sukhothai Chalet
Historical Park,Sukhothai - View on map
"This is by far the best place we’ve stayed during our time in Southeast Asia :) Sukhothai Chalet is an authentic, family run place, literally right on the doorstep of Sukhothai Historical Park. Bikes are free to use meaning you’re just a 5 min cycle away from the restaurants in old city and the Chalet’s themselves are beautiful! The best part about our stay though was the staff, run by husband wife and grandma who make you feel like one of the family. These guys will go out of there way to cater to your every need, super friendly, warm and welcoming we felt right at home! The Owner even dropped us off at the bus station and the grandma had made sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves and gave us a traditional Thai lucky charm to give us good luck and fortune on our travels ❤️ We were so sad to leave! We shed a little tear and got a photo before we left. If you want to experience a real piece of Thailand this is the place to stay! "

Sukhothai Treasure Resort & Spa
Sukhothai City,Sukhothai - View on map
"This is probably the best hotel in Sukhothai. Nice view, great pool, nice surrounding, and good service. In addition, the massage service in this resort is excellent and we were very happy about staying there to relax! The only downside of this resort is that the breakfast is so so, but this minor defect does not ruin the overall excellence of this place!"

Scent of Sukhothai Resort
Historical Park,Sukhothai - View on map
"We have stayed a few times in Sukhothai before and wanted to try somewhere different. We booked a deluxe room and it was great. Very large room, comfy bed and wonderful surroundings. Just a short walk to the pool. Staff were very good and the room thoroughly cleaned each day for us. A note about breakfast; we found it disappointing. It was virtually the same every day and didn't appeal to us much. I would have welcomed the addition of some yogurt, and bacon. Eggs were all precooked and not very warm. Often, when items had run out they were not replaced, eg bananas and also pancakes. We have stayed in a few nearby establishments which had a much better breakfast offering; however, we would still choose Scent of Sukhothai for all of the positive things it offers."

Sukhothai Heritage Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Airport,Sukhothai - View on map
"The Heritage Resort is highly recommended if flying into or out of Sukhothai airport. It is beautifully designed with all the amenities you will need. The rooms are well equipped with large bathrooms, rain showers, cable TV and wireless internet. The food served at the restraunt was the best I have tasted in Thailand. The smiles are on all the faces of the many attentive staff. The hospitality is not faked or put on it is genuine. I rented a car for business meetings so the 30 minute drive into the Sukhothai Historical Park was not a problem for me. The distance from the park is the oly drawback of the location. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Consider it for a break between Chiang Mai and BKK."

Le Charme Sukhothai (SHA Certified)
Historical Park,Sukhothai - View on map
"I have stayed in many hotels in Sukhothai over the years, at last I'm pleased to say I've found one where I shall return again and again. The location is great, close to the old town and Historic Park and only a ten minute drive to the new town. The gardens, are lush and well kept, the rooms which sits on the lily ponds are well proportioned and tastefully furnished, the balcony a great place to sit with a cold one, The swimming pool is clean and the children's paddling pool close by was enjoyed by my young son. The peace and quiet of the evening, coupled with a good quality mattress, enabled me to get a really sound sleep. The staff were also a plus, very helpful, though they might be a struggle if you don't speak Thai. The negatives are trivial, but I will mention them anyway. The shower room is a little tired looking and the shower curtain was sticky and grim. Also the resort food and drink prices are high. A bottle of beer is over double what you would pay outside the grounds. However this is a small price to pay for the comfort and tranquility of this delightful establishment. 17/20. Will definitely return. "

Orchid Hibiscus Guest House
Historical Park,Sukhothai - View on map
"i stayed here after spending a night at the grand riverside hotel in phitsanulok, taking a bus to sukhothai. little did i know that the songtaew fare would be to get to old sukhothai, but that is a byline. i was warmly greeted by the owners, who promptly showed me to my cozy room overlooking the pool. i almost had the entire place to myself, which allowed paolo to share some of his secrets for a successful trip to sukhothai and who encouraged me to sit back and relax. the pool was a wonderful way to relax in the heat of the day before i borrowed one of the establishment's scooters and tore off around sukhothai. what an amazing, laid back place just outside the city walls! the breakfast was truly incredible, as marketed. i would definitely stay here again if i returned to sukhothai!"

"Open arrival at the Sabai Sabai (3 1/2 *) we were told that, booked out, they've moved us to the nearby Sukhothai Heritage (4 *) ... same owner ... thus I cannot comment on the Sabai Sabai. Sukhothai Heritage is a wonderful place, we'll go back there for sure."

Foresto Sukhothai Guesthome
Sukhothai City,Sukhothai - View on map
"Our stay was wonderful. We stayed longer than most guests stay in Sukhothai (7 days) because we were there for Loy Krathong. So we would go out to the historical site very early in the morning to take photos before the crowds arrived and return to the site late afternoon for the festivities. It was so good to have a place to spend time during the day that was so much more than a hotel room. If you went and sat in the restaurant you were made welcome (it was open all day) and it was very relaxing with the beautiful fish pond, there was the lovely gardens or the pool. All the staff were very friendly and it was like being part of a big family. Any questions we had about the area were sorted out, the owner helped us organise motor bike rental and even drove us to the airport bus link when we left. The food in the restuarant is fantastic, very authentic Thai. The breakfast menu is great with really interesting combinations that would suit everyone. So basically we loved staying here, would definitely stay again because we thought it was just lovely and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from big impersonal hotels to a smaller caring environment with great rooms, everything you could want in a lovely setting. We have been in Chiang Mai a few times for Loy Krathong and it is great but this festival in Sukhothai is just stunning. So thank you Foresto for a fun and relaxing time. We had never been to Sukhothai before and you were part of making it a wonderful experience."
