Outdated, over-priced & noisy”
Although the bedroom and bathroom were large, they were extremely outdated. Location, staff, and cleanliness were okay. The curtains were not “black-out” curtains. There was a lot of noise from the hallway, adjacent rooms, and road. I would not stay here again!!

It's a little out of the way for most tourists as it took 2 hours on the Shinkasen from Shin-Osaka to Shin-Yamaguchi, then a 90 minute bus ride to Hagi bus centre. If it's old Japan that you want to experience then this is for you. This place is very traditional Japanese. We chose the traditional Japanese room with ocean views, it was magic. It is a little bit out of town, so be prepared to catch taxis for approx ¥700. The staff don't speak English but they have an app that translates. All signs and information are in Japanese only. The restaurant only takes reservations as it is a set menu with set price. There are other restaurants around town but most cater for Japanese tourists. Don't expect a continental breakfast as this too is a set menu, and traditional Japanese food is all that's on offer. There is a supermarket in town and a 7 eleven for fundamentals. They have a local Hagi bus which costs ¥100 per ride or ¥500 for a day pass. Red bus does a loop around town and blue bus goes to other tourist destinations the other way. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and hope to return soon.

記念日で旅行にきてここの旅館に泊まりましたがご飯もとってもおいしく部屋も綺麗で広くとてものびのび過ごすことができました！ 防音もしっかりしていて隣の音が聞こえなくてよかったです！

When I reserved the hotel, I have no choice but a room with city view only, but my room was changed to a sea view room! Though the room did not fulfill my request of not at the lift lobby, I wasn't disturbed by any noise outside. The dinner and breakfast are great! I think the dinner was too much for female as I couldn't finish it all, but the breakfast is just about right! Their indoor onsen is facing the sea and you would not feel stuffy while you are enjoying onsen. Only bad is the toilet smelt bad, even I have sprayed a lot of deodorant, the smell remained. Overall, I enjoy my stay here and would like to stay here again when I come to Hagi again.

시모노세키에서 실망한 저희에게 미하기 호텔은 다시 방문하고 싶을 만큼 만족감을 주었습니다. 바다가 내려다 보이는 룸, 정성이 가득한 석식, 조용한 온천 모두가 힐링하기에 최적의 장소였답니다. 비수기라 비싸지 않았던 거 같아요.
