Idyllic beach villa but where is the beach?”

I called up the Resorts World Sentosa hotline and was shocked when the Guest Reservations officer announced that all of their beach villas were fully booked till Dec 2012. Fortunately, I did not believe her and looked up Agoda.com where I secured a 1-bedroom villa for a night. The beach villas are located adjacent to the Equarius RSW hotel within the RSW complex. You drop off your bags and register at the Equarius check-in counter. Thereafter, you are escorted by buggy to your designated beach villa for an in-villa check in. My friendly butler was there waiting for me with a welcome drink, and check-in proceeded uneventfully. The 1-bedroom villa was of a semi-detached configuration, with another adjacent to it...it was NOT a fully detached villa enclosed within its own compound. The interior of the 1-bedroom villa consisted of a spacious bedroom, connected to a bathroom with an outdoor patio and jacuzzi. Regretfully, there was no separate sitting area. The bathroom had a large tub, as well as a rainshower stall with a separate WC. Toiletries were from ESPA. Instead of a private pool, you had to share a common free-form swimming lagoon with the other villas. Each villa had its own outdoor jacuzzi although it is NOT private as the patio and jacuzzi are open to view from your neighbours. Moreover, the beach villa is a misnomer as there is no beach. The ESPA spa and gym were NOT open during my stay (this point was sadly NOT mentioned by RSW). Breakfast was at the Forest restaurant over at the Equarius. The buffet spread was mediocre but they did offer you the option of ala carte orders. Service was excellent however. Strangely, I had a problem with millipedes in my villa bathroom. However, the service from my butler was stellar! It is also worthwhile to occasionally forgo the buggy ride to walk among the lushly landscaped grounds.

5 Star All Around if you can afford the cost.”

OceanSuites at Resort World Sentosa definitely provided us with an experience for a lifetime. Room amenities are top notch, toilets are clean, beds are comfortable and the rooms are much larger then they appear to be in the photographs, definitely fulfilled all expectations but at a hefty price. The view of the S.E.A Aquarium from your room is probably the best experience for marine enthusiasts and kids. Complementary Parking as well as the car park lots are located just outside the line of suites. Overall an outstanding and lavish place to stay with a memorable view only at a hefty cost.

Proposal at Ocean Suites RWS ”

Hi I am writing to extend my compliments to the staffs at RWS and I want to shout out to our Butler Mr Willy for leaving us with unforgettable memories for this special occasion. Upon check in Mr Willy approach me to help me with my many luggage. As I'm planning a proposal I brought many decorations , I got a giant bouquet of sunflowers, macaroons were delivered earlier then my arrival. RWS handles my collections and deliver the items to my requested room swiftly. As compare to other hotel in my experience I got rejection from the reception to accept the delivery as I have not check in and the poor delivery guy have to wait until all is sort out then he can carry on with his deliveries. Once Mr Willy buggy me to my room, I was brought to a room tour by him. He showed me around and is very informative. He told me that if I need a buggy ride I could call this number. I felt very luxurious and well taken care off. He even took care of our breakfast , queries, picking up my guest from lobby to our room. Thank you for being part of my important day. You really can't complain trust me . As its a stay for a couple I feel everything really meets and even exceed our expectations. If I must find fault it will be the closure of forest restaurant and thats it. We feel very pampered. In a romantic place like sentosa In a romantic under water room She said yes. Thank you rws for being with me through my important occasion. After this I need to check out and check in to equarius hotel. I found out that they actually notice my reservation and have set a room with perfect view up for me. So there's no hassle to check in for me , I just collect my new room key and set off excitedly to equarius. Im leaving a review in equarius separately. Thank you RWS. Constantly following up with me checking out if there's anything you can help. Keeping me updated and setting aside that specially assigned room for me.

Great place for an escape”

We had a staycation for our 5th wedding anniversary and never regretted splurging on this place. Love that th pool is connected to th room so th kids were in th pool almost th whole time. There was a shallower wading pool (ankle deep) + jaccuzzi, for th beach villa so th kids cn go in there without supervision! Love the services rendered by th butlers and receptionist. Everything was being thought for during this covid period. We couldnt hv th usual cake arranged for our anniversary but they gave us a hand written card and 2 RWS teddy bears for our girls. Thank you RWS Beach Villas! We will save up and be back there for our next staycay!

Lovely Moment”

Great Service... We can call bungy service 24 hour.. They can deliver us to the Forum (Central Area of Resort World).. Every room has a private jacuzzi.. And We really enjoy with the swimming pool.. Will come back to this Villa soon..

The view of our room is amazing”

We love the view of the S.E.A. aquarium in our Ocean Suite and it's situated next to the Ocean restaurant which is very convenient for us to have our dinner and the buggy service (to other parts of Sentosa from our hotel) was very prompt and staff was friendly. Our hotel is just a few steps away from the Adventure Cove water theme park and Espa (spa service). Great location considering the quietness of our beach villa.

Really nice relaxing feel”

The villas were lovely, and the small deck leading on to the pool was nice to sit on and watch the world go by. However there was no roof over the small deck so as soon as it rained you could not use it. There were a lot of bugs my wife got eaten alive sadly. The staff were all very willing but often failed to grasp what we wanted when we called for room service or other needs and there was a lot of confusion over getting fed and what ever we needed. The wait for room service of 1 hr is to me quite excessive. Overall if you go prepared it is a delightful getaway location and very relaxing if you are patient

A different experience”

While diners may lap up the view for a few hours dining at the Ocean restaurant, what better way to enjoy the experience beneath the sea by having a view from your own suite all to you and your loved ones. With a bathtub in front of the view for a lovely bubble bath or just to simply sit at the ledge or lay on the bed to glaze. You have the whole stay to figure this out along side lounging out at the living room with a sofa bed and a lounge sofa on the 2nd floor with a built-in jacuzzi in the balcony. Hefty sum to pay per night but it is worth it to do so even if it would be only once in a very long while. My kids love it and so did my spouse and I. Dining facilities in Resorts World was very accessible because of the free bus shuttle services. I would recommend this experience.

comfortable and quiet”

We arrived quite late at the check in area and was expecting a good welcome service at equarius hotel checkin counter. However what we got was just plain cold shoulder and there were 3 - 4 staffs at the counter but nobody seem to notice us standing right in front. it felt extremely awkward. They looked more interested in having their own conversation and settling some issue than serve us. So I tried to look around for the Beach Villa check-in. There was one specially for beach villa guests check in, we are able to have a comfortable seat while processing the checkin. but as me and my hubby were about to sit down, this lady just told us. please check in on the other side. I got so shocked by their services, and i thought " i will never come back here again" this is plain ridiculous. Luckily, after a very unhappy check in. The butler was quite nice getting us to the villa, and the villa was great. Nice and secluded area, good for chill out and stay cation for couples/ family. We also had a jacuzzi pool to ourselves just in front the villa. overall, for the villa itself, it was an amazing experience. They even allowed an extension of checkout! Although in the end we paid a good sum for check out at 6pm. It was too comfortable for us to leave ! (:

Underwater room”

The stay was nothing short of impeccable in a underwater ocean suite room with 50,000 underwater species swimming in front of your bed! It is one-of-kind experience and you don't get this in your everyday hotel or villas stay. Furthermore it also has a second floor via a flight of steps leading up to a living room with a outdoor plunge pool to soak in. It is worth a try in Asia only underwater room though the price is steep for this kind of experience but at the end of the day it is still worth your every penny! Must try if you don't mind the ridiculous price though :-)!

Exceptional”

Great and lovely stay here with such a gorgeous pool. Great for a quiet getaway with a jacuzzi right at ur door step! Pool is huge and you could swim laps for days. Room is spacious with a huge bathroom that provided a huge bathtub. Only concern is the fridge which isn't cold at all so don't think of getting anything cold from that fridge! Could have been better since we pay so much for the beach villas! All in all tho, fantastic stay!

Enjoyed this second stay, villa selection always critical ”

This is our second stay at beach villas and I would like to compliment the butlers who served us. Buggies requests and room service were prompt and requests were acceded. Housekeeping team was efficient when we request for extra amenities. The free form pool and jacuzzi were fabulous as before. Kids had a great time in the water and outdoor patio. One thing to note is to select your villas diligently as some villas are of easy access to inconsiderate and illiterate hotel guests who end up using the private jacuzzi and outdoor lounge chairs, despite the signs about them being exclusive to the villa.

Family Staycation”

3rd stay in Beach Villa to celebrate my son's birthday. The butlers were very friendly and helpful. Would avoid staying at the villa during this period as it was very crowded with other tourists.

Small Villa but good customer service”

Was thinking of trying out Villas in Singapore, therefore book the villa in sentosa after reading up a couple of reviews. When we reached there, customer service is excellent. The only disappointment is that the villa are quite small compare to bali and any other.Pools are shared between neighbours. No privacy at all. Breakfast can be improved. For that amount of money, i believe we can enjoy much better accomodation in bali.

Great staycation experience ”

Spacious room with high ceiling, direct access to Swimming pool from the room and large enough terrace, all are ideal for staycation just as if you are in a resort beach resort in Neighbourhood countries. Butlers were attentive and buggy service was convenient.

Spacious and clean rooms, friendly services ”

The stay was splendid and enjoyable. Living in the Ocean suite room gives you the scenery of the sea aquarium at sentosa.

Great hotel for family staycation”

Our kids enjoyed their stay both at Ocean Suites and Beach Villa. The view from Ocean suite is amazing and kept the kids super entertained and they were very happy with the double floor. We received really good service by William and his team throughout our stay. They took good care of our needs and buggy services.

Just go once in-a-lifetime-experience”

Room: Great size, suitable for party or family. Outdoor pool was a nice touch, with privacy. Could look up at cable cars going above us. Amenities were amazing! Toiletries smelled so amazing and premium, slippers were so comfy and soft, robe were silky satin feeling. Location: Do read reviews on how to go before going as it does not state on their website. Tad bit unglam go through carpark but the personal buggy does make it whole lot better (the gentleman who took us around was amazing and professional) One negative note: to get normal lights, the curtain needs to be down (blocks the view of the aquarium). Not sure if its because we won't be able to see as well or to protect the marine life from harsh lighting. Overall great experience, but once is more than enough!

Excellent”

Nice property and location, everything is close by for kids and we enjoyed staying at the property. but staff needs to be a little more attentive, when we checked in, booking was under my name and despite of me providing my passport, I was acknowledged as incorrect person and had to explain. staying at such a good property and booking private villas we expected that at least every time we would call from our room for something they should have greeted us with Name, rather there was no acknowledgement and we had to provide our room details, so I was a little disappointed with this. we loved everything else and definitely will be back and would recommend our friends to come and stay at your property. but I would expect that next time when someone is staying and paying top dollars staff needs to have attention to detail which they fail on multiple occasions in this case.

Birthday Staycation”

Celebrated Birthday and stayed for 2 nights. Like the pool very much. Everything was ok, service in the reception was ok too. Free shuttle service to other hotels is a plus. The location inside Sentosa was a little difficult to find.
