"Great to have shuttle service from train station. Very friendly and helpful front desk who helped us to booked for luggage transport service to Odawara station, so we can explore Hakone attractions before going back to Tokyo. We initially asked whether we can store the luggage after checking out / any luggage storage service nearby, he recommended the luggage transport service. Loves the small onsen tub in our room, the room is super spacious and also loves the products samples provided in the public onsen room. "

"I booked and stayed in this property because it's close to Hakone area and hotel provide shuttle bus to Odawara station, in which we can use our Hakone Free Pass to explore Hakone area. What make me surprise, staying in this hotel and using all the facilities actually really enjoyable, and I'm thinking that we should spend more time exploring what this hotel offer to their guest rather than roam around 2 days in Hakone (which windy and foggy by the time I'm there). You can enjoy Japanese traditional bath in this hotel (very well maintain, well equipped), or you can enjoy an excellent modern water spa facility (they have many pools that the designer really maximize on how water should be enjoyable, such as walking pool, water pressure massage, spinning pool, jacuzzi, etc). They even have whole body hair dryer, swimwear dryer, etc as part of this water spa facility. I haven't got time to explore more other facility than their Onsen and Water Spa (Bade Zone they called it). But to sum it up, it is an excellent resort to enjoy. Just spend your time inside this resort, no need to explore around except you stay more than 3 nights. They have also Golf coaching lesson, painting lesson, etc (I'm not exploring all)."

"Had it not been for the savings of the Go To travel campaign, I would have chosen a different accommodation. Overall, Wisterian was good. The level of English spoken is non-existent so use Google Translate at your peril. The facilities are dated but the rooms are kept clean, larger rooms than you would see in Japan and the views are superb. I was taken aback though by the advance notice required to eat at the hotel—two days! I laughed hysterically as this means I wouldn’t be able to eat there during my two-night stay. Either the restaurant is a well sought after Michelin-rated gem or they would rather not have me use my GoTo travel coupons there. No real reason was given for this procedure but I was accommodated after a short consultation with the manager. A ten minute walk to a 7/11 is the only economical option for food. Be prepared to walk up the hill to return. It is most certainly helpful that there is a free shuttle bus service between the hotel and Gora Station. I used this to connect with the main transportation links around Hakone. The sauna and pool were not opened during my stay which was a real let down but the onsen was available for use. Certainly better than most but for the cost it could be better appointed. "

"May book last minute for a lower cost, this is the highest cost of hotel during my 2 weeks stay in japan. Hotel will email you to check in before dinner time, and also reply you on your optional request. Room is big, onsen is just beside my room. Very friendly hotel staffs, getting water for the electric flask from the restaurant as the tap water from toilet is not drinkable and no mineral water provided. I was caught by surprise by their awesome dinner, is a Japanese fine dinning, presentation is so nice and portion is big. Breakfast was awesome too like their dinner. Choose their Japanese meal, won't regret it. Hotel location is near to ropeway station. Overall, is all worth it. "

"We stayed here in April. Hotel is located up in the hill of Hakone in a leafy part of town. Overlooks the hills. A few tasty restaurants around. Break down: - Room: Spacious with adjoining balcony. Rooms came with water, wifi, and tea/coffee - Bed: Comfortable. Had two double beds pushed together wasn't expected ideal. - Bathroom: Great and spacious - Restaurant: Great quality food. With 3 course meal and drinks it was around 200 AUD total. - Staff: Exceptional. Very friendly. - Location: We had a car so access wasn't an issue. Was removed from the main area of Hakone making it peaceful. - Facilities: Has a grand fire place with arranged free drinks for the guests which was great. The onsen was great too unfortunately was segregated by sex. - Extras: no gift on arrival as it was with other hotels as we were on out honeymoon Overall: We would consider staying here again. Would be nice if they had couple onsen facilities. "

"The hotel is set next to a waterfall and river and our room provided an excellent view of them. The room was nice and spacious, one of the only times in Japan that we could stretch out our legs and relax. Having access to the on-site onsen was fantastic as well. There's an outdoor bath that allows you to enjoy the fresh mountain air, see the river and relax in real hot spring water. The dining was fantastic. We had a traditional kaiseki meal for dinner. The fish was nice and fresh and the cooks were right there if you had any special order or you wanted something else. We ate our meal and then ordered some steak (Japan's best!) and some tempura. Overall, we were looking for a resort to relax in during our stay in Japan and this is exactly what we needed after so much sight seeing and walking. Our only complaint is that, while there are staff that can speak English, we had a few difficult moments in communication. At the end of the day, we got everything we wanted and had our needs fulfilled so it's of little consequence. "

"Enjoyed our 2-day stay. We paid $352 for a twin with 2 adults, breakfast & dinner included (4 meals). We arrived & were upgraded to a King Room to fit our 4 yrs old. Received a free lift to the train station, but really didn't need it. I had a broke ankle & in a boot & still managed to walk the short distance to Hakone Yamoto train station. Parking is adjacent to the hotel. Hotel sets up on a hill & across the rode from 7-11. Parking is behind 7-11. Bath house was very nice & included in our room. Dinner was buffet & pretty extensive, but go early (right at 6), because everyone starts getting there & some items will be gone. Drinks were also included, free Asahi! Rooms are just OK, nothing special. They were well cleaned & fairly cozy for Kate November. Small balcony, but wouldn't want to sit out there. We decided we would return because of the location, friendliness of staff & price. "

"Our stay in Hotel Florence was above expectation! The location is great and easy to find, just a few minutes away from the station and a Daiso store, but sadly no convenience stores nearby, that we know of. It's a good place to set up base if you want to explore Hakone and beyond. The room itself is beautiful and spacious, it was always a delight waking up in it , you almost never want to leave. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and will definitely recommend. Thank you for having us! "
