We really enjoyed our stay at the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort (formerly Outrigger Phi Phi) - the rooms were beautiful and clean, the bathroom/shower were fantastic, the staff extremely friendly, and the resort truly beautiful right along the beach. This place truly is a resort and if you stay you could spend your entire trip there if you preferred. The food is very good for being an island off of the coast of Thailand (not a typical cuisine-directed destination) with a surprising amount of variety between the locations. The biggest frustration for us during our travel was the difficulty in accessing the main town area (Tonsai / Loh Dalum Bays) from the hotel. It takes about ~30-40 minutes by long-tail or 20-25 minutes by speedboat to transfer between the two. The hotel does run one shuttle in the morning ~10am (if I remember correctly), that returns ~3pm; however, the rest of the access is on your own. While this is a benefit because the resort is far removed from the crazy/party/noise associated with the rowdy backpacker festivities on the main beaches, there is a negative in the inability to access that scene if so desired. The true way to describe this place is "secluded" - so make sure that's what you want before you book! Either way the resort will blow you away, but location is definitely an important factor when selecting a place to stay while on Koh Phi Phi - Stayed July 2015

This resort area was nice with lots of trees and plants around. It's right at the beach front, but there is no beach view from the rooms because there are restaurants blocking the view. You have a view from the restaurants though. There are lots of mosquitoes around, but not in the rooms. There is lots of construction going on, but it's not super noisy, and there is construction all around koh phi phi. The rooms are nice and very clean, but a bit old/damp. The ac unit works really well though so the dampness goes away once it is running. There is no mould on the walls or anything like that, and the shower and toilet work very well. The pool is very small and crowded, but the pool design is great for young kids, they really love it! The staff cleans the pool daily. It's a bit of a walk to a lot of the recommended restaurants, but there are restaurants closer by too. There were multiple big tour groups staying at this resort when we were there, so sometimes it seemed very crowded, almost like its own little town. Villa resort is right next door and less crowded, but it's right in the open, some cabins right in front of the walking path/road. Really open, but they have a beach view. Overall, Andaman Beach Resort was a good stay for us, we really liked it. We had read reviews and knew that the rooms and resort breakfasts on koh phi phi were not amazing so our expectations weren't super high. The staff was lovely and helpful and like kids. I'd stay here again if I was keen to stay in that area of koh phi phi (between long beach and the town center/pier).

+ : Amazing service - free pickup from the pier, shuttles to your rooms if asked, VERY nice and friendly staff. nice activities on the beach, good service at the beach bar, boat-trips service, scuba diving center (very good instructors!), fire shows at 9PM every night, free minibar in the room. AMAZING BEACH - the best beach in koh phi phi (and for us in whole thailand). we went to beach trips and saw them all. nothing is compared to this. specialy when you get the option to sleep there and not just for 10 minutes. Cristal clear water! with fish swiming with you., you can see your legs in deep water. Amazing view of the island and koh phi phi lee, and the best beach to see the sunset. Close to sharks point where you can snorkel and actualy see sharks! (black-tip) and amazing fish. It was the best relaxing and authentic experience! We've been there for 6 nights and didnt want to leave. We'll come back for sure

This place exceeded expectations 100 fold. The room we were given was huge, at least 600 square feet complete with a small patio and glass encased standing shower. Bath robes were provided and the in room refrigerator mini bar had Chang stocked for just slightly above mainland prices. Wi-fi was fast and reliable, A/C unit worked to perfection and the shower delivered good pressure and mostly constant temperatures. The whole place is designed with purpose! Clean and organized which made me feel at home and instantly relaxed for a night on a Thai island. Originally when I booked a hotel in Koh Phi Phi I saw many hotels with very cheap prices. However after looking more closely at reviews it appeared that I made a critical error in selection. Luckily I was able to cancel the reservation on booking.com via Southwest.com Hotels/Rapid Rewards site. Then found Chao Kho Phi Phi Hotel and knew that was the best option and booked it instantly.

The pool is beautiful and is better than it looks in the photos. The standard room had great air conditioning. The location was perfect if you want to relax but also just a short walk from all the nightlife the island has to offer. But the reason why they are truly amazing was the service. Every staff member was incredibly nice and helpful, especially the manager at the front desk. I left a bag at the airport in Krabi and they were able to get it sent out to the hotel in Koh Phi Phi. It was a difficult situation because of langauage barriers with the airport and airline but the manager helped me communicate the situation when needed and set it up so it was delivered in about 8 hours. I really can’t thank her enough.

Our stay was wonderful! The resort is right on Long Beach, the best beach on Phi Phi Don, and directly faces Phi Phi Lay. Breakfast was excellent with a magnificent view. The 20 minute walk to town is over rocks and hills, so it's not for everyone, but we enjoyed it. This distance keeps Long Beach relatively secluded and very quiet, so we were pleased. Hire a "taxi boat" to pick you up early in the morning (we left at 6:30am)from the hotel beach and you'll have the most spectacular, major tourist locations all to yourselves! We were the only ones swimming in Losamah Bay and Pileh Bay, and shared Maya Beach with just a few sailboats. You'll love Koh Phi Phi and this hotel.

This place was by far the best place I've stayed at. Went there with my GF and make sure you ask for the sea view room. At a place like this, you will regret it since its so beautiful with big windows all throughout the walls. Breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff is so kind. Wifi is fast as well. You have your own private beach literally less than 50 meters away and can snorkel. I will def come here again when in Koh Phi Phi

Very nice, helpfull, profesionall staff. Amazing view on the bay, settled on top hill on the best Long beach in Koh Phi Phi. Bungalows, accomodations, equipment is the best. Breakfast perfect with service. The stairs up and down twice a day is ok. Firstly we stayed only for 3 nights, after we extended our stay next 5 nights. Really very nice, kind and polite people there. I highly appreciate their attitude and recomended this resort to spent your holiday in a piece and relax place.

I have only good things to say about this resort. The staff is very nice and helpful and they did their best to please us. We received for free, from their side, the breakfast and one taxi transport to Tonsai (the harbour in Koh Phi Phi Don). Besides they have really good prices for private tours. The bungalows are clean, well equiped, quiet and spacious. The beach is one of the best in Phi Phi Don, allthough is noisy and a little bit polluted due to the taxi boats which are very often comming and going.

After reading previous reviews. The Holiday Inn was everything I expected. Although, it is a bit expensive, it was definitely worth it. The beaches, water, and sunsets from that part of Koh Phi Phi are breathtaking. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast that was included in the room price was first rate. The Holiday Inn also had a happy hour every day where most drinks were BHT 100 ($3.00). The bungalow where we stayed was a seaview and was great for the price. If it is in your price range I would recommend staying in the seaview or beach bungalows. The gardens are up on the hill and away from the beach. In addition, there is a great place to watch the sunset from a bar on a hilltop that overlooks the ocean. After checking out the other accommodations on that part of Koh Phi Phi Island, I think the Holiday Inn is your best bet. The Zaeveola is just as good if not better, but much more expensive. For those who are on a budget, there is area right next to the Holiday Inn called Gypsie Sea Village. Here you can eat, and buy groceries for much cheaper than the Holiday Inn or any of the other hotels. The rooms were a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. There are no t.v.'s in the room and the hotel has 2 computers for internet in the lobby. The rate they charge is $7.00/hour. Finally, there is no nightlife here, but if you are considering this part of the Island, you are not interested in that anyway.

We booked through agoda just a few days before so we didnt have many options on our room as the resort was full. We could only book one day but staff was nice enough to let us stay extra nights as they saved our room for us the next day! All the staffs were nice with good sense of humour. The breakfast was great with sea view. One of the most comfy bed I have experience all through Thailand. We tried some other resorts in Koh Phi Phi but Bayview is our favourite. They have some sunbeds and shades in front of their own private beach. The location is great, less than 10min walk to the center/pier. Opposite of the party beach so we could have a quiet relaxing night. The resort offers free boat transportation to the pier everyday on a certain time which was also great. In order to get to our room we had to walk some stairs but it didnt bother us. Almost all the resorts in the island is built that way anyway. Highly recommend this place!

This hotel is for those wanting to see Koh Phi Phi or to use it as a base for activities. We stayed here while we dived on Koh Phi Phi although this seems to be the most expensive place to dive in Thailand. There's a good buffet breakfast with hot and cold foods. It's a 10 minute flip flop walk into town but only 3 minutes to either the North or South Beach. There are bars close by. Be aware that Koh Phi Phi has become a destination for mass Chinese tourists and as a result, the island has developed to cater for these. Maya beach is NOT worth visiting. It has most definitely lost its charm and you certainly won't want another 1000 tourists in your photos... Although, if you just want to get to a film set then crack on! It will cost you about 400B per person for the taxi/tour bout to the island and then another 100B per person for some random, probably made up, tourist tax. Maya bay is fulllll of tourists and boats. It is not tranquil, you'd be better off saving the money and staying on one of the Eastern beaches around the island... they are fantastic.

My friend and I were lucky enough to stay at Rantee Cliff Beach Resort due to flash deal on Agoda! We knew we wanted to stay on Koh Phi Phi and we left wanting to stay longer! Rantee Cliff offers an affordable, clean, and an authentic experience on Koh Phi Phi. A short 20 minute longtail boat from the Pier. My friend and I stayed both in their beach front bungalow and ocean view birds nest luxury room. The hotel/resort has been open for nearly a year and has the potential to go so far! Mrs. Thing, her husband, and the staff truly work hard to make their guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. They should be nearly done building their "All Teak Bar and Lounge." Sign up for their private longtail to hop the islands...totally affordable! I will definitely be visiting them again.

This resort is in an amazing location! Close enough to the action if you want to party and quiet enough if you want to stay in and relax. Phi Phi has a very chilled out atmosphere and that's how the resort feels. Breakfast was a pretty standard buffet you find in all resorts. Only this I can really fault them on is giving us the list of fines (I think this was mentioned in another review) if you lose the key, take towels and all that and no outside guests past 10pm. I felt like I was on schoolies (spring break for the Americans out there). Staff were helpful with our enquiries. Price is steeper than I expected to pay but more places are in Koh Phi Phi but this resort was bug free and as a good a smell as you can get in Thailand. Places might be more expensive but meals are cheaper that Phuket, beer is cheaper and lots of happy hours and specials. I recommend a snorkeling trip too, one of the half day ones! Expect 100 baht for Thai food 60 baht for small beer (Chang) Around 100 baht for a large one Snorkeling costs anywhere between 400-600 for half a day, shop around a bit. They'll take you to Maya bay (from The Beach) amongst some other places everyone else gets taken.

You know what you imagine when you think about the Thai Islands? Phi Phi Relax Resort fulfills that image to a tee. Tucked away on the other side of the island (far away from the tourist hell of Ton Sai), Phi Phi Relax completely lives up to its name. We booked a Garden Bungalow, which was fine, but I'd recommend booking one of the bungalows with a sea view or at least higher up on the hillside. Bungalows are private, but spaced quite close together so noise travels at night. Once you're there, you're basically hostage to their restaurant and store, although prices are quite reasonable. There's a large selection of food, both Western and Thai, to make everybody happy. FYI - breakfast is not included In the price of the bungalows. There is a "safe" area that is centrally held for which they do not charge. However, once you check in your things, it will cost you 50 baht to check it out and you can only do that once (I found this a bit annoying). We booked a full-day Koh Phi Phi (Donn and Leh) trip through the resort and were quite pleased. Food and snorkeling gear were provided, and the friendly guide moves at the group's pace. The hotel also rents snorkeling equipment for use during the day. Note: the resort is only accessible by long tail boat, which runs 300 baht/pp from Ton Sai. When you get to the main dock, look for the guy with dreads, he'll guide you to the right boat. If you're expecting infinity pools and a butler - this isn't your kind of place. Electricity only runs from 6pm-6am and the showers are cold...but with a gorgeous beach and aquamarine water right in front of you, what more do you need?

to start off they could not find our reservation. after a 10 minute wait we were informed they didn't have the room we booked available but they would upgrade us for our stay to a deluxe bungalow. the room was beautiful and we were very happy from the get go. the pool at the resort was sparkling clean which from our experiences in thailand was not the case most times. the beach in front of the resort was the best of all three resorts in the area. we ended up staying a third night here before moving on as we liked it so much. the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. the menu at the restaurant does not change or have nightly specials so if you stay for an extended period be prepared, but you can take a short walk to the one of three nearby resorts to grab something different. there is no night life at this end of phi phi which was fine for us as we wanted to relax for a few days. it is very quiet and relaxing.

This place is gorgeous, and very secluded and quiet. Little village about 10-15minute walk has a few fun bars, food, massage, shops. Beautiful infinity pool, and was like our own private resort because apparently, people just kind of stay in their cottages a lot. Did an island-hopping and snorkeling tour, which was fun. Only drawback, they say in their description that there is a private beach. That isn't really true, and was a bit disappointing. There is a tiny strip of land that is very rocky when the tide is out, and completely under water when the tide comes in. Also, not an issue for me, but could be for some - there are a ton of stairs. The entire staff is incredibly nice. One caution regarding travel within SE Asia - AirAsia is frequently quite late, both arriving and departing (was traveling from Kuala Lumpur). I arrived too late to catch the last boat out to Koh Phi Phi the afternoon I arrived, so I missed the first night of my booking. The hotel won't do refunds, period.

I had a great time in Koh Phi Phi at the Mama Beach Residence. Staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are very nicely furnished and very comfortable : I had the best nights of sleep of my holiday in Thailand. The hotel is located left of the Tonsai Bay, whereas the town centre is right of the pier. Great location because only 10min away by foot of the centre which is very practical to go out, go to the diving clubs, etc, but very quiate during the day to relax on the beach or sleep sound at night. Perfect to relax or rest after a big night out! If staying at tonsai bay, this is also where the beach & water is the nicest. Although if you are looking just to relax and go to the beach, better not choose a hotel at tonsai bay but go to another beach of ths island (meaning you have to take long tail boats to get to the city centre)

The Papaya Phi Phi Resort is a nice and clean place to stay. It's also a quiet place, even though there is loud music played all night at the bars in the center of the island. The resort is a little bit further away from the center of the island, and you also have to go up a lot of stairs to get to your room, but that's a good thing if you actually want to get some sleep. Also, one of the staff members from the resort was waiting at the pier to take us to Papaya. He had a large cart with him to fill with our luggage so that we didn't have to carry it all the way to the resort. When we got to the stairs, he carried all of our luggage up to our room for us!! The staff members were all very friendly and helpful, and they did what they could to make our stay wonderful! When we checked out of the room, another staff member came to carry our luggage down the stairs for us. Everything worked great in our room, and it was also nice to have several complementary water bottles in our refrigerator. We also got to see a few macaques around the resort in the morning. If you are looking for a place to stay on the Phi Phi Island, you should definitely stay at the Papaya Phi Phi Resort.

There was no elevator in the hotel, but staff took care of our bags. We asker for a late check-out, but staff informed us, that we have to pay around 300 bat per hour. But all hotels in Thailand charge for a late check-out. The room was OK, and location was really good. In the center of Phi Phi. In the evening it was a bit noisy. The breakfast was almost perfect. Fruits were fresh and sweet and the coffee was tasty (for us it was really complicated to find good coffee in Thailand). I would say this hotel was one of the best what we had in this country.

This resort has some of the best views you'll find in Koh Phi Phi (other than the viewpoints themselves). The staff was fantastic and welcoming, including carrying both of our heavy suitcases up and down the stairs for us, welcoming up with us with fresh pineapple juice, and being responsive to any and all questions. They gave us some great recommendations for things to do in town as well. Great place to retreat and find some quiet with beautiful views.

We were very satisfied with our stay here! Initially we were concerned about noise on Koh Phi Phi, as we are not the partying types, and all fears were allayed at this resort! Our room was in the hotel (not the bungalows)-- very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Also, even though it is verrrry near a mosque, it was incredibly quiet even during call to prayer. This being said, it's not in the middle of everything. It's probably about a 10 minute walk to/from the terminal. By the way, there's a free luggage transfer from the dock to the hotel (just look for someone holding a sign w/ the hotel's name). The room and bathroom were clean. A/C was nice and cold, very efficient. The balcony was small but nice for 2 people. The railing was quite low (for my Western standards, I guess)-- I would be cautious about letting children or people who'd been drinking out on the balcony! We had problems with our TV one night, and within 5 minutes of our contacting the front desk, a gentleman was at our door to fix the TV. Breakfast is served outside under a cabana. Typical food (Western/Australian breakfast). Pool seemed small, but we didn't use it. Overall, highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived to Villa 360 at low tide. They had a pre-arranged long boat waiting for us at the ferry, which was very convenient as we thought we would have to book that on our own. Upon arrival, we were presented cold towels and a fruit drink at check-in. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our villa was absolutely beautiful. It was clean and offered an amazing view. This was our favorite stay during our Thailand honeymoon. The pictures don't do this place justice, as the views you will see are truly amazing! The other curious thing was that Villa 360 seemed "remote" when compared to the rest of the island, which meant it was fairly quiet and peaceful. We saw so many birds, butterflies, and not many people. It is a great get-away from the party scene of the ferry terminal of Koh Phi Phi. We would highly recommend staying here!! On a side note, a couple we met on the long boat coming into the Villa ended up getting engaged there! They told us the staff were amazing at decorating an outdoor, private table, as well as made them an engagement cake! How thoughtful!

We originally booked through Agoda, but because of some conflict out deluxe cottage wasn't available. Without even saying a word, Miss Junnie came back to us 3 minutes later and had upgraded us to one of their amazing pool villas. Things were a little outdated in places, but this is not the Sheraton or Westin. This is a remote tropical escape. If you want "modern luxury" go to Tansai or stay on Phuket or the mainland. Even though it is only rated at 3 stars, for being in a remote location, I'd say it felt more like 5 stars. It's not a "hotel", so the grounds are very dispersed and all of the cottages are private. It's at the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi so it's almost a jungle setting and the grounds must be absolutely insane to maintain. Oh and yes. There are lots of bugs and spiders and such. Remember, it's the "jungle", get over it. This place is amazing! The staff were all so helpful, kind and always smiling. The activities director helped us out with a private longtail boat and we went to Mosquito and Bamboo islands which were fantastic. There are only a handful of resorts on this beach and they all work together to ensure that there's some "show" or activity that's available. The fire show at Koh Phi Phi Natural resort was amazing!!! It's every monday, wednesday and friday so don't miss it. The massage is higher priced than you'd find elsewhere in Phi Phi or Phuket, but don't miss out on it. Their staff does a great job and the setting is wonderful. If there's any drawbacks I'd say that the beds were very firm and food was somewhat lacking. The breakfast was mediocre but if you order alacarte it gets better. Once again, set your expectations. They have food, veggies, etc boated in on a regular basis. The beds were also a This is a remote destination. Once you set that expectation you will find that you can't get a better experience.

I took my 64 year old parents to Arayaburi Resort after having been to Koh Phi Phi a couple of times before. I chose this place for the location away from the noise and the view. Although it was a bit difficult walking the steep slopes to the room, we had a great stay and would certainly go back. The location is great. It's quiet and has a nice beach of it's own, but also is a 10 minute walk to Long Beach. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the main tourist village as well. The room was very spacious and clean. It was big enough to easily handle the extra bed. It had a nice flat-screen tv with satellite which was a plus. The best part of the room was the covered balcony with a breathtaking view of Koh Phi Phi Leh. The food at the restaurant was also quite good, was right on the beach, and offered great views as well. The service was good, but not great. We had a bit of trouble getting the passenger cart to come to our room, but the walk was doable even when slightly wet, footing on the path was not a problem. I thought it was a very good value (we went mid-October at low season prices). The weather was also beautiful for us with only one day out of six with any significant rain.

First of all, i have to say, the staff of that resort are the suitest i met in Thailand! Second, Its a quite peacefull resort, located aside from all the center city noice of koh phi phi, which makes it more suitable for vacational and romantic atmosphere! The pool is small but beautifull, with an outstanding ocean view! Each bongolow has a private balcony and huge windows, facing the ocean to the west side of phi phi (the clean side, not the one with the main port). Finally, despite all that, you can get here withought taking a taxi boat, just a 15min walk from the pier and the market.

Zeavola was a zen oasis for my wife, 5-year old daughter and me following several days in the more off-the-beaten-path islands further south of Koh Phi Phi. Our experience with Zeavola began with a uniformed representative from the hotel picking us at the Ton Sai ferry dock and escorting us to a long-tail boat which took us up the beautiful western side of the island to the back entrance to the hotel (we arrived late in the day and the tide was out so couldn't approach from the main beach on the east side). We were met by another hotel staff member who took us on sand pathways through the manicured grounds to reception and a chilled hibiscus tea drink. We had excellent meals at the beach restaurant and breakfasts were wonderful with a solid option of healthy and comfort foods including great croissants. One of the best things I've eaten in years was the crab gnocchi prepared by Chef Aed. They're served as a side-dish with the black cod, but I made a special request the second night at dinner to have them served as an appetizer. They are amazing! Our experience at Zeavola finished with the high-speed boat that took us to Phuket. Our last memory was the cool, eucalyptus hand towels given to us to refresh before exiting the boat. Nice final touch that characterized an overall rewarding experience at the Zeavola Resort.

we had very good luck picking hotels on our thailand vacation and phi phi villa resort was no exception. they had someone waiting for us once we got off the ferry and it was a 10min walk through "town" to the resort. the room was very nice. comfortable bed, decent bathroom and nice deck. 1 min walk to the best beach in phi phi (if you ask me) and across from the resort is a good beach bar with some good night life and fire-shows (horrible service at this bar, yet, we went back a good 3 or 4 times... location!). the concierge at the resort was extremely helpful and arranged everything from all of our snorkeling and logtails/taxi boat to our next hotel stay in ao nang (including ferry, hotel and taxi from hotel to airport the next day). perfect stay!

Kind of set away on Phi Phi (15 minute walk to beach) but it was so nice to stay where it is! Lots of green, jungle, and some hints into actual local Phi Phi life. It is quiet and you sleep well. the breakfast is great!!! Egg station and pancakes!! fruit and salad!! The staff was so wonderful and we were able to check in early no problem. The pool is extremely nice as well. Great great for the price!

i stayed in phuphaya for two nights with my girlfriend in one of the fan-cooled bamboo bungalows. it after two weeks travelling around the islands this is one of the nicest of the "on the beach bungalow style" places we have stayed. th resort is a 10 minute walk from the main beach and maybe 20 minutes from the pier. though we didn't send our arrival time ahead a representative met us off the boat and carted our backpacks ahead of us to the resort. the last part of the walk is up a very steep hill so this was great. we had breakfast included - it was only okay, maybe not worth the extra cost as you'll get a nice breakfast for the same price in the town. i'd recommend this place to any budget-conscious visitor to koh phi phi if you don't mind the short steep walk to the town.
