Perfectly Suitable Hotel”
Richmond Hotel was one of the memorable highlights of a truly wonderful Osaka trip. Location wise, it's a 5-minute walk away from the Daikokucho Station (M Line), only 10-15 minutes away from Namba station, 20 minutes away from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Ebisubashi shopping streets. We didn't mind the walk because there are interesting things to see along the way and it accorded us the exercise we needed after dining. The neighborhood where Richmond is located is pretty quiet which we appreciated. The guest room may not be too spacious, as one would expect in all Japanese hotels. But the room size was just right for us. The bathroom amenities were replenished daily. The breakfast room was cozy, clean, and comfortable and the breakfast spread was sufficient. We loved how the Richmond staff were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We'd go back to Richmond for future Osaka visits.

Will definitely stay here again”
We fell in love with the Richmond chain of hotels after our stay in their Oshiage branch. The Richmond Hotel Namba Daikokucho exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed our stay there. Location is excellent: it is near the Daikokucho Station and is walking distance to the Namba Station. There's a supermarket and lots of convenience stores nearby. Service is excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Really appreciate the coin laundry service. 5 stars!

A great boutique hotel for your Osaka adventures.”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Richmond Hotel Namba Daikokucho. The rooms were clean and the staff was accommodating. The hotel was about 15-20 minute walk to DenDen Town and a 5 minute walk to the subway to get to the heart of Namba. Overall, it's at a good location and a great value for those looking for a place in Osaka.

Great location, clean and cozy rooms, perfect for the solo or couple traveller.”
Hotel is conveniently located near Daikokucho Station which is within 1-2 stops of the Namba, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi areas or if you do not mind walking, 15-20 minutes away from these areas. For those planning to go to USJ, slightly further from Daikokucho Station is Imamiya Station which connects you to Universal City Station via the JR line (good if you are on the JR pass). Hotel is also next to Kura Sushi, a cheap and nice sushi place and close to Life, a big two storey supermarket for those looking to get some Japanese suppers, groceries or toiletries. Room itself is very clean and amenities work very well. Toilet is large enough to fit a bathtub. A Handy phone is also provided for travellers to use while in Osaka which provided a good data connection which we used as a backup to our own mobile router. A Halal breakfast set is also available for travellers which we did not try but could be something others would like to have.

tourist friendly hotel”
this hotel really made my osaka vacation worthwhile. location wise, it was perfect. the area was not crowded & noisy yet near the happening places of osaka. we never had to take taxi rides, only subways since Richmond is near Namba & Umeda. the subway station is also near the hotel. infront of the hotel is Life supermarket so we never had to walk far to buy food or late night shopping for "pasalubong" for our friends and family back home. the hotel service was commendable. everybody spoke english ang everyttime i had to ask for directions they always had the answers. the room was big enough for us (two twin beds). we had enough space to walk around. the toilet bowl was high tech and we always had fresh towels, toothbrushes and combs! shampoo, liquid soap and conditioner were FREE! overall, it was clean and comfortalbe with all the amenities needed. this hotel is really worth the money and definitely, i will come back.

Clean hotel in good location with walking distance to Namba & Dotonburi”
Richmond hotel Numba-Daikokucho is a clean hotel in good location with walking distance (10-15 minutes) to Namba & Dotonburi. It's located rather off Namba but near Daikokucho subway station instead. We were very happy with the spacious room (comparing to regular Japanese size) and toilet was modern with bathtub. Breakfast buffet was our highlight - it was just wonderful with mixture of Western and yummy Japanese selection. Staff were super helpful. With the price we got from Agoda, we were very pleased with our stay.

Excellent place, great location and ”
We stayed in a double with breakfast. The first thing we noticed was how great the hotel lobby was. Looked very high class and professional. A lot can be said about a hotel just by its lobby and this was impressive. The room was spacious for Japan, had a massive (42 or 46") wall mounted TV. Room was tidy and you have the option of choosing Economy cleaning where they don't wash the bedsheets everyday (which would be wasteful), and you get free bottles of water if you select this option. The location is great! Only about 10mins walk to Den Den Town (Anime-central of Osaka) and about 15mins to Namba (major shopping area). It's also about a 5min walk to Daikukocho station, which is on the main north-south subway covering major stops such as Shinsaibashi, Namba, Umeda and Shin-Osaka. The breakfast was the best and most surprising part of the hotel. It's a full buffet, with a Japanese/Western mix. Foods include bacon, eggs, beans, salads, takoyaki, udon noodles, japanese curry rice, japanese fried chicken, toast, croissants, cereals, tea/coffee, variety of juices, and a few desserts as well. It's amazing. Overall a great hotel, definitely feels more like 4-4.5 stars than 3. Would recommend to anyone.

Close to everywhere ”
This hotel is close to Daikokucho Station, 1stop to namba, 2 stops to Shinsaibashi which is great. U can also walk to namba if you are up for it (we walked once and it was pleasant). We also walked to Nankai Station for Kansai Airport train. Room very small and cramp for 3 of us with luggages. Very hard to move around and you can open big suitcase one at the time. However, we love the separate shower and toilet in the room. Spacious shower and intelligent toilet is a plus point. Most of all, I am impressed that this hotel do provide "halal" breakfast bento from their halal kitchen for Muslim travellers. You can booked your halal breakfast in advance. We don't mind going back to this hotel dispite small room.

Very nice hotel yet affordable”
Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Nearest subway (daikokucho midosuji line) is just 10mins away. Spacious room compared to other hotels, clean and with wifi in rooms. Near namba yasaka shrine. Lots of convenience stores and restaurants nearby but not at the center of namba. Will definitely stay here again because of the spacious room and hotel security.

Very clean, good location, friendly helpful staff”
I stayed here for 7 nights from May 20-27, 2015. I remembered I was pleasantly surprised the moment I stepped into the hotel....from the lobby, up the lift and into the room, everywhere looks so new and fresh. The only setback is the room size - it would have been perfect if it is bigger by 15 sq feet because the room layout makes it difficult to have 2 big suitcases in the room. Location wise, it's 7 mins fr Daikokucho stn exit 1, walking distance to Namba Walk & Carnival Mall with lots of food n shopping outlets. Next to Hotel is a 100 Yen conveyor belt sushi place which is good too.

If You look for Value Hotels”
Richmonds is good rate specially at week end. Location is good. You can walk to Namba or Simbashi area. The alternative you can use train for one or two stops from Daikukucho station near by. Room is quite big for japan hotel and clean. If you want using JRPass for train, you can walk abiut 900 m to Imamiya station using JR train on Osaka loops or Express train to Kyoto station.

Decent hotel for visiting Osaka”
My room was somewhat bigger than the typical hotel room in Japan at similar price range. This hotel is conveniently located near Daikokucho subway station. There are also 2 supermarkets nearby. The hotel also offer free drinks everyday from 2pm to 8pm. Overall, my stay was very pleasant without any issue. I would recommend choosing this hotel again if I visit Osaka next time.

Good value for money, close to Namba and quiet”
We stayed at Richmond at 2 occasions recently during our holiday in Japan. The staff welcomed us with smile, handled the check in and check out steps efficiently. The double room was rather small but fairly reflects the value for money paid. 2 local super markets nearby, a few convenient stores and many restaurants options. Max 10 min pleasant walk to Namba. I’d stay again when I visit Osaka.

nice hotel, little bit of a walk from the subway”
Having just arrived in osaka and being tired we accidentally put the wrong address into maps and ended up at the wrong hotel richmond osaka! Realising our mistake we eventually got to the right place, it was a bit of a walk from the subway but not too bad. There was a happy hour in the hotel bar for guests but we didn't go. A few coin laundries within walking distance was handy.

Perfect”
My partner and I stayed here overnight before our flight the next day. The hotel was easy to find on foot after exiting the train station. Staff spoke English and were friendly and polite. Our room was very clean and modern, toiletries were well stocked, there was a heater, trouser press, kettle with coffee and tea sachets. It's a 10 minute walk to Namba market and there's a huge home appliance store along the way. We were very impressed with Hotel Richmond and wanted to stay longer.

Great value for money & good location - Our 3rd time at the Richmond.”
This is our 3rd stay at the Richmond in Osaka (we were also satisfied with the hotel in Sapporo and Tokyo). It is overall good value for money, in a good location (10-5 min walk to Dotonburi/Shinsaibashi). The rooms though not big (which is typical is Japan) are very clean and the design well thought through. The beds use a well-known matrass brand (S&S) and the breakfast is excellent! I would also like to commend the quality of the staff. My default choice for Japan (when I am not going for Onsen).

Great Hotel”
Great hotel. Service is top notch. Front Desk able to speak good English, very helpful. We was very surprise of the room given. Its not as small as we thought it will be. A plus point is a free use of a mobile with internet in the room. It does great help showing places around Osaka. The hotel located in a strategic location very near subway, walking distance to Namba too and convenient stores. The best thing is that its not noisy. Not near traffic. Hotel to be recommend to stay. We will surely come back to stay whenever we are in Osaka.
