One of the better hotel in Chanthaburi ”

We stay at the Riverawan hotel regularly since it first opened. - the staff are excellent, some can speak a little english. - the room are clean and have good bathroom. - The bedding is particularly good, bearing in mind you are away from the typical tourists trail and branded hotel. - The food at breakfast, is ok although a little effort could be made to improve breakfast offering, especially for Western guest. i am always a little surprised when i am asked what i would like to order for breakfast at Checkin. - the WIFI is working well, it seems it has improved since my last stay a few months ago. - it is missing a restaurant, it would a great location for a good restaurant and a quality bar. - the swimming pool is also a very nice addition. - TV, few english channels would be welcomed, news, movies... i will definitely be back.

Good location, nice rooms, lack of service mindedness”

Riverawan is a modern, beautifully situated Hotel on the banks of the Chanthaburi River approximately 3k outside of the city center. Rooms are overlooking the swimming pool and the the nearby river and come with all the obvious amenities. Hotel facilities, swimming pool and public areas are clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly although less flexible and supportive compared to other places in Thailand. Few downsides - for a price of 1'200 THB one would think a breakfast could be included. Likewise the own branded bottle water tasted very salty and thus was inedible. Finally upon check out - credit card facilities were only available over 1'200 THB which is unacceptable and contrary to customary use in Thailand where typically a 500 THB limit is used for cash/credit payment. Apart from that we enjoyed the tranquilly setting of the place and the pool!

Great hotel”

Very clean and new. Staffs are helpful they let us check-in before time because we arrived early. Too bad during our stay,their are too many kids in the pool and they are very noisy that we cant take much photo by the pool. Anyway, the hotel itself is super great. Will definitely be here again.

Exceptional”

If you need to "get out of the city"; this is a very appropriate place. Quiet and very relaxing. But you really need to come with your own car as there is no nearby places to eat that are walking distance (nearest is a very nice old Thai style restaurant that is about 800 m walk). But the staff were really very kind and helpful (super excellent) as they were the the ones who drove us nightly near the Cathedral, which during the time of our stay, was having a food fair in celebration of Christmas. We suggested to the hotel that they should at least have an in-house tuktuk; like the hotels in Chiang Mai and other tourist-popular provinces. Chantaburi does not have much foreign tourists, ONE reason why we LIKE it!

the room equips with quality items”

the hotel was well build, new, fresh, and clean. use high quality equipment to make the room premium. staffs were real nice and helpful. happy with complementaries during new year stay. few minutes drive from centre attractions. nice river view second floor.

Nice and friendly staff”

Pro: Good hotel near by the river. Spacious room. Friendly staff. Con: Towel bad smell and look old. Bed seems comfort but back pain in the morning. We don't like the noise alarm from the door even the nabour room shut the door in the evening, we clearly heard in the room.

Nice place”

Past reviews mentioned distance from Historic area as problem but we found it a good walk. My only complaint would be breakfast options were limited(and 200B), and our hotel looked down on neighboring residences.

Hotel at the river side at its best !”

This hotel is just something special ! . . feels like a proper 4star Hotel. . Beds more comfy then Hiltons etc. Been here many times now will never concider another hotel in this province. Feels lika Home.

Lovely pool, great for a quiet rest out of town. Easy to explore the old town from here with ten mins walk. Five mins walk to seven-eleven. There’s a hotel block or more pleasant riverside apartments to choose. Very new buildings, clean and attractive. A surprise paradise for bird watchers on the river bank!

The hotel is really nice located on a river. And a really beautiful pool. But you need to go 20 min to city or take a taxi (100 Bhat). Most impressive was the helpful staff. They organized us the next travel stop in Koh Koo with taxi and ferry boat! many thanks!!!

Almost impressed”

I think, judging from the price range, the hotel would be unique, chic & cool place to stay. However, from what I experienced, they took guests for granted. We travel as a family with elderly person, they put us in the villa on 2nd floor. She is 74 yrs, what did they were thinking. Tho the view is so stunning, the noise from the residence nearby is too annoying!! I booked extra bed, but they provided us only 2 slippers and when I asked for 1 more, they said there is no slipper for extra bed....:( like I name the title of this review, I was almost impressed!!

We travel around the world and stay in many hotels. Not a single hotel charge 100THB per night per one extra pillow! We asked for 4 extra pillows just because my husband has back problem so he cant lay flat. The answer we got on reply to the booking said there are 4 pillows on the bed and 4 more on sofa bed (which we called hard cushion not a pillows !) We take another chance to asked again when we arrived at the hotel, that what we got the answer "100THB PER PILLOW PER NIGHT" Riverawan hotel and villa - here come with service and comfort to the guest but stingy mind will not work in this case. The quest got just 1 key card for the room. And we just want to have our room to be cool when we come back from outside and sweating soaking wet. NO the airconditioning only work with the hotel key card! Providing at least 1 extra toilet roll will not cost so much that guest will not have to call for service in the middle of the night when running out of paper!

Nice River View and Quiet Place”

We stayed in the river bank deluxe room and the room is spacious. The view overlooking to the river is very great especially in the evening. The place is quiet but easy to get around the city and tourist attractions. The breakfast is very simple and is not favorful. The bathroom is very clean. The staff smile all the time and are very helpful.

Pros: big and tidy room, very helpful staffs, beautiful small swimming pool and garden Cons: hard to find this hotel if you visit in the evening or night, no hair dryer in the room (you have to ask for if you want to use)
