Great choice for Yangon”
The Rose Garden Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to several sights, such as the Shwedagon Pagoda, the Kandawgyi Lake, the main railway station and downtown Yangon. My room was nicely aquatinted featuring traditional Burmese culture and styles and it had all amenities one could expect from a five star hotel. I particularly liked the small bouquet of fresh flowers. Another thing I like is the emphasis on environmental matters like shampoo or body lotion in elegant dispensers or city maps on recycled paper. Myanmar needs much more of that! It was nice to have a balcony, though the mosquitos that appear in the darkness can be annoying. The public areas of the hotel were also great so that I always enjoyed walking in and through the main hall. There is also a very nice scent in the public areas. WiFi is free and has always worked well. There is also a pool, but I didn’t use it. The staff was always friendly, polite, professional and helpful. They are all doing a great job. Joining the breakfast buffet is a good decision given the wide choice of warm and cold food as well as freshly prepared egg dishes and noodles. When coming back to Yangon, this hotel would surely be my first choice and I can only recommend it to other travellers.

Exceptional”
This is our second stay at Rose Garden Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and the people who work there are really lovely. Everything was spot on, on our first night we were brought lovely little sweets and fresh juices. At night when our bed was turned down they left little chocolates on our bed for us and stocked up anything we were out of (complimentary water, clean towels, tea/coffee). It was very nice to come into our room after dinner and have it all ready for us to jump into bed. We were also given a complimentary drink voucher to use at their stunning bar on Level 1. The bar is very beautiful and the seating is quite special. Service friendly. They can not do enough for you. Breakfast was fantastic, very attentive staff who want to do anything they can to please you. The variety was really good also. The pool is also fantastic, especially if you're lucky enough to be visiting when there are no children staying as they tend to ruin the experience for everyone else using the pool (not the hotel's fault). I do, however, have a few points for improvement: 1. Hot water in rooms is limited meaning you must have very quick showers (washing hair and shaving legs during a single shower means you must put up with cold water). The water pressure is also very low. 2. No fresh milk is available in the room for tea/coffee. And if you order milk from room service then you are charged 4500k per glass. I think that this should be complimentary. 3. Finally the gym is very poor. I would hardly call it a functioning gym. It either needs to be upgraded or perhaps the hotel should offer a discount to use the gym up the road from the hotel (about 200m further up the street). All in all I would recommend the Rose Garden Hotel, especially if they corrected the hot water & water pressure issues.

We had a great stay at the Rose Garden Hotel. Helpful staff, good pool, huge breakfast selection, large room. We took a taxi to Shwedagon Paya but you could walk in less the 30 mins. There were restaurants at the nearby Kandawgyi Lake but there is limited access points to the boardwalk so you need to walk next to the road rather than just through the fence on the picturesque boardwalk. This probably takes about 15 mins. It is a big hotel but the staff were very friendly and especially attentive to our 2 young children :)

We understand frustration, arriving early and not being able to check in. We’re sad to read you neg. comments: Check-in is 2pm and the night before our hotel was fully booked. There was no room available for an early check-in. Our team assisted you then with your rabies vaccination, searched for a clinic and arranged transport. You refused the credit card authorization and it has been explained to you, that it is not a charge and no funds had been debited from your account. We assume that left you the impression you were “unwelcomed”? With best intentions, we offered the first room available; unfortunate it was a smoking room. But another room could be offered shortly after. I can ensure you, that all our team members are hospitable and are trying their best to provide friendly & welcoming service. But we do know that there is always space for improvement. Daily we review our operation and related issues and we will always continue fine-tuning things. Once again, we are terribly sorry,
Our stay at Rose Garden Hotel, Yangon.”
The Rose Garden Hotel is located near most of the sites. You would be advised to use taxi however to get to different tourist sites since it is safer and very inexpensive. The room we had over-looked the city but it was quiet and it is very tasteful appointed. We were given a complementary plate of fresh fruits upon arrival and the turn down of the bed was done with a chocolate. We had unlimited complementary bottle water as well as tea and coffee. The staff was very polite and cheerful. They were willing to help in every possible without being intrusive. The pool was really great and refreshing. The hot sun and humidity of the days of touring make the pool such a pleasure to cool down. The only thing that we found out of character is that the buffet breakfast although excellent was rather expensive at $15.00 per person per day in view of the fact that a Burmese restaurant dinner where foreigners could safely imbibe costs about the same amount for 4 people.

Dear BanAn, Thank you so much for your excellent review about our Rose Garden Hotel and its really very nice to read your positive review. We are happy to know that you were well taken care of during your stay with us. But we are sorry that you found our breakfast being expensive. Our prices in our restaurants are higher than outside, due to the fact that we face higher costs, as we pay fair salaries and provide good working conditions for the workers and and food items from our international menus need to be mostly imported. We look forward to welcome you again in near future. Warmest Regards, Zar Zar Tin Win
Excellent”
Friendly and thorough service throughout our stay. They could not have done better - Rose Garden comes in at the low-mid end of the 4star facilities and it offers clean, safe base from which to go about the tours in Myanmar. Their rating is subdued mostly due to their location ("uptown" , near the zoo and the shwedagon pagoda, but far from anything else, with little within walking distance) which should not be an issue for those moving about via the taxi all the time. Would not recommend walking to/from the hotel after dark - crime is not so much a concern here but walking in the mad yangon traffic, in a locale where sidewalk is often just the "lining" of a busy road...is pretty much suicidal at night. If you don't mind the location, rose garden offers a great cost performance, for a solid hotel not that far from downtown (and in a quiet location.....beware of early morning noises from the animals in the zoo !! )

Great Place, Clean Food, Nice Staff and Best Value.”
I tried many 5stars hotel in Yangon. Most of them are great as 5star hotel should be but Rose Garden are on the top list of Value for Money 5 Star hotel in my list. The price are reasonable and staff are well trained. Room are really clean and food are good too. The view are great too but come with a little smell from the zoo, which is ok if you didn't open the window. Other than that everything is perfect.

Superb!”
Rose Garden Hotel was absolutely perfect! It's a big hotel but the charming room decor and amazingly attentive staff allow it to feel like a boutique hotel. It was an oasis of cool, calm beauty to return to after a long day visiting the nearby Shwedagon pagoda. The buffet breakfast is also a treat, with at least 4 different cuisines to choose from. We can't recommend this stunning hotel enough, thank you to the staff for one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had!

Outstanding staff”
This hotel is well maintained and the staff are so eager to help. Pool and area are clean. Breakfast buffet offered many choices - we liked that small portions were put out at a time (and constantly refilled) so that food remained fresh. Many areas to sit and relax or enjoy happy hour. All customer service staff - reception, cleaners, restaurant & bar, parking and door attendants - were so welcoming and friendly. I would absolutely recommend Rose Garden Hotel. Thanks for a lovely stay!

A bit disappointing”
I've stayed at lots of hotels in Yangon on business and Rose Garden had a very good weekend rate. I was surprised that a hotel of this standard has single glass windows that don't close properly (both noisy and environmentally unfriendly). If you like over the top architecture, you will love the lobby. The rooms have very low, romantic lighting--not enough light to read or work at night. Not ideal for business, probably fine for holidays if you want some flash.

ROSE GARDEN HOTEL”
The Rose Garden Hotel was the best of 4 hotels we stayed in while in Myanmar. The room and all the facilities were fantastic, as were the staff. Even getting a taxi to and from the hotel was so much easier than anywhere else. We also experienced the restaurants which were fabulous, would definitely like to stay again.

Very nice high quality hotel”
I'm a bit of a stickler for routine, hence I usually stay at the same hotels when I travel. In Yangon I have a usual hotel but due to being nearly full with only expensive rooms remaining, I decided to try this place. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Due to the coronavirus situation, staff took everyone's temperature when entering the hotel lobby. However, this process was very quick. My room was comfortable and chic, with a very modern feel to it. As I had driven in from Dawei and arrived at the hotel quite late (nearly 11pm) and hadn't had dinner yet, I decided to try some room service. I had an enjoyable meal and the cost wasn't too bad at all for a 5-star hotel. Next morning, breakfast was great with plenty of different choices available. The pool also looked inviting, although I didn't have any time to use it. I'll definitely consider staying here again and since I travel to Yangon on business very frequently, there is a good chance it will be very soon.

Comfortable room; great staff”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Rose Garden. I was surprised by how big it was; I usually choose smaller hotels, but the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more personable. I as determined to buy a Shan-style jacket, a task that turned out to be sueprisingly difficult. However, with persistence and the help of two extraordinary young women at the front desk, I was able to find what I wanted. Chu Chu, thank you so much! And to your colleague whose name I don't know - a thousand thanks. You know who you are!

We have a wonderful time at the hotel. Everything is clean and it’s an easy going hotel. Staff is perfect. A little bit far from Downtown but perfect any way. I forgot my phone and the staff do everything to ship to my hotel in Bagan. Thank you very much Rose Garden Hotel Christian

Great hotel”
After a mix up with the rooms (we were put in a twin room instead of a double) which the staff rectified it very quickly. Our room overlooked the main road which wasnt the greatest view but Yangon is in the process of a serious facelift so a main road was better than a building site. The room itself is very nice and fairly modern with a lot of traditional wood (floor and furniture). The beds are very soft and very comfortable so over all very good room. The breakfast is very varied and very good as is the food in the bar and restaurant in the evenings. The cocktails are very strong so don't quite taste as they should but the local beer served here is very good. The staff are very helpful in anything you ask them and very polite. Over all a very good stay at a very good hotel. I would happily rate it 5 stars

Ecellent service and friendly front desk staff”
We arrived in the morning, and Front desk really took care of us very nicely. They made us comfortable and treated with worm reception. Nicely explained about the Hotel facility and also what are the thing we must visit when we stay in Yangon. Clear trips on how to reach and also the interesting place in details with marking in the MAP. Really appreciate their customer service. Room maintenance service is excellent. Our Wi-Fi signal was weak in the room and immediately came and fixed the issue.

Decent Hotel in nice area”
I had a nice stay at rose garden. The building is quite old though but the rooms are nicely done and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast gives you a good selection and the pool is one of the largest in Yangon. A bit of a minus is the gym with old and cheap equipment. Anyway, the hotel is recommendable if you look for a place with in a quiet area not far from down town.
