Perfect”
We booked our stay at Royal Lanta to celebrate our one year anniversary, it was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived the service was first class and we were even given a complimentary massage at the resorts day spa. The bungalows are beautifully presented with high ceilings and a huge bed. The location is close to the beach, Klong Dao, which is one of the best swimming beaches in Koh Lanta. The included breakfast was the best we had in our 7 week stay in Thailand. The Mountain View Pool was secluded and relaxing and there was also an infinity pool which was more popular with the families. The staff were always friendly and helpful and will arrange the hire of a motorbike or car for exploring the island if needed. The gardens and boardwalks separating the bungalows gave a feeling of complete privacy and were kept spotlessly clean. I hope to return to Royal Lanta Resort in the future.

Exceptional”
Absolutely enjoyable stay at this beautiful resort. The Superior room was clean and spacious, facing swimming pool and lovely garden. There are 2 huge swimming pools, one near the entrance, the other near the beach. Plenty of sun chairs at pool and beach areas. Many restaurants, bars, massages, bike rental and convenient stores next to resort. Klong Dao beach is the best beach in Koh Lanta in my opinion, powdery sand no rubbish and no rocks unlike the neighbouring beaches full of sharp corals, rocks and rubbish. The beach is shallow but deep enough for safe swimming. The owner is friendly, the staffs are helpful and courteous although some of them don’t speak good English but again you are in Thailand. Breakfast was ok. Go to Bambie’s for THB100 lunch special 12-3pm, 2mins away from right side of the beach. The food was very good and authentic. Would definitely recommend this resort and will definitely return if here again. Stay in the Deluxe Villa if possible they are beautiful.

Royal Lanta Resort and Spa 10/10”
My fiance and i stayed at the Royal Lanta Resort & Spa for 3 nights, and ended up booking another night because we enjoyed it so much. The staff are extremely friendly, the location is conveniently located by a ton of restaurants, a 7 eleven, and more than one scooter rental business'. The resort is beautiful, the price is more than fair, and our favourite beach on the entire island is connected to the resort. I recommend Royal Lanta to anyone looking to stay on the island!

Nice grounds, right on the beach.”
We stayed at Royal Lanta for 4 nights. We were in the cheapest room which is in a building in the back of the property. The building is simple (no frills) but clean and the bed is comfortable. The other rooms are more of a bungalow but are right on the pathway down to the beach so the privacy is minimal. Only a couple of the bungalows have beach view. There are two large pools and nice lounge chairs near the sandy beach. The beach/ocean is perfect. You can walk out a long ways and is perfect for kids. The breakfast is very simple but can hold you over to lunch. There are many places to each and minimarts very close to the resort. If you like simple, this is a good choice.

Great property and fantastic service. ”
decided to venture to koh lanta on our thailand tour even though we were aware it was low season. the resort was completely worth the money we spent and was well kept and clean even though it seemed there were less than five guests! the general manager was unbelievably nice and the staff over accommodating. lovely villas, pools, and good included breakfast. the beach however was in worse condition than we expected for low season (in no way the reaort's fault!!) with horrible garbage, wind, and nothing at all open...a literal ghost town). the small towns within walking distance were all open though which worked out well for dinner and some shopping. food at the resort seemed quite overpriced, but we did not eat there, so not sure if it was worth it. overall, i think this could be a four star resort...very good experience, and probably much nicer in the high season!!

Great place to stay - see you soon”
We had a great holiday at Royal Lanta Resort & Spa. Spending New Years Eve was unforgettable. The nice buffet and entertainment and of course the fireworks was super. This year we needed a wheelchair to make it easier for our son that had hurt his leg and they provide us with a perfect one. Thank you so much to the staff for making this holiday great.

Nice and good value, ”
We booked two nights at Royal Lanta during off season with the intention to extend our stay if we like the place. Honestly the Royal Lanta is everything I had in mind when making my booking. Nice manicured and lush tropical garden, lovely small Thai style bungalows located right on the beach (klong dao). It is good value for the money especially with the off season price. Here are some of the negative points: the bungalows are quite close to each other so if privacy is desired you must keep you curtains closed. No safe deposit box in the room, but you can leave your valuables at the office, which we opted not to. Breakfast is very basic but sufficient. We rented a motorbike from a nice guy just outside the resort and during one of our excursions found another resort (on Long Beach) for the same price but another notch up from Royal Lanta on a better, nicer and cleaner beach (check my other review of this). Lanta on off season is very very quiet, I would say most smaller hotels don't even bother to open, but we really like off season just to get away from the hustle and bustle of where we live.

Beautiful Thai style hotel”
We loved staying at the Royal Lanta because it was so family friendly. We loved having the bunk beds in our room for our children. The grounds were beautiful and they have 2 nice pools. We were even surprised with complimentary couples massages when we got there. The Breakfast was very nice too. My only complaint was that the beach was not very clean and that worried me with my children wanting to play in the sand. Our overall stay with Royal Lanta was very nice.

Beautiful lush tropical resort”
we stayed at royal lanta during the low season towards the end of may and i had to say that it was a great choice made. as koh lanta is relatively quiet compared to the other islands, in the low season it's even less people. with boat trips and elephant trekking not available, seeing the island on a rented motorbike and enjoying the facilities of the resort became our activities. the bungalows of royal lanta resort is set amidst a beautiful lush tropical garden nicely maintained. there's 1 pool by the beach and another by the mountain view bungalows and both are great. from the other reviews i've read about the hotel it seems like it can get pretty busy during the high season with lotsa children but otherwise we enjoyed a quiet lovely stay.

Great location”
When arrived at hotel was wamly greated with a drink and cold towel, then shown to our room, which had a dvd player in for when its raining. The rooms were good size and kept clean, air condition worked well too. The breakfast was good with a normal range of choice. they gave out complimentry massages within your first 24 hours of staying, i had mine and my partners and felt no obligation to book any other treatments, which was good! didn't have dinner at hotel as there is so much choice outside hotel. Found this hotel had a family feel to it meaning to say that its more of a 2 week holiday place rather than a stop over for back packers. Enjoyed the hotel and if i go back to koh lanta i would stay at this resort again.

lovely hotel and service with a smile”
I spend one week in October with my family in Royal Lanta Resort and spa. I booked a family room but I was upgraded to a suite with spa and pool view. The room is quiet and clean. The staffs are very friendly. I was satisfied to the facilities and food in the hotel. The location of the resort is also ideal. It is very close to a white sand beach with crystal clear water. The water is not d and it is suitable to small kids. There are a lot of Thai food restaurant nearly by. I recommend Willie Thai Food near the Dental Clinic . The food is nice and the price is about 80 to 100 baht. The place is clean but it only open at high season. I also recommend seafood place at Saladan. The seafood is fresh.

Beautiful, relaxing resort......”
The resort is really relaxed and family friendly. The bungalows were spacious and set in a rainforst setting, it was lovely sitting on the deck in the morning listening to the birds. There were two large, clean pools and the resort is literally on the beach so no need to go far everyday. The staff were extremely helpful and the Spa was the best I've been to... a beautiful, traditional spa and they gave good dicounts to guests. The thai food in the restaurant was the best we had on Ko Lanta. There was also a great Indian restaurant in the next town along called Soi 14, owned by a really nice chap called Wit. Overall we were really happy with where we stayed, having seen the other resorts on the beach. It was an ideal location for catching the ferry from Saladan to the other islands. Only thing I would say about Ko Lanta is that it is a large Island and you would need a 2 week stay to make the most of it. Oh and don't bother with the elephant trek in the next town along, we felt they were treated badly and the baby elephant show was uncomfortable to watch.

Solid value. Good location”
We stayed at several places on Koh Lanta and the Royal Lanta Resort was viewed favorably by all family members. Not our top pick of the bunch, but definitely a solid choice. Excellent value in the low season. Beach was beautiful.

Very nice hotel with great family room and pools.”
We had a lovely time at the Royal Lanta even though Koh Lanta itself was very quiet. The room was huge with bunk beds which was great for our kids. Fantastic pools close to the beach. Great place to stay even though the bed was a bit hard!

Family friendly accomodation”
Royal Lanta Resort & Spa is a great place to stay with a family. We went there with our 3 moths old baby and the staff accommodated us with care. They also interacted with our daughter in an appropriate manner. We surely had a great time. The swimming pool is ideal for young children and for babies. We enjoyed swimming with our baby in the pool. The staff were helpful with other request as well. The rooms were a little bit damp and smelled so. However, we stayed there just at the end of the rainy season. We presume there is no issue with damp in the dry season. The gardens are well maintained and so are the rooms. They shower was real powerful! Two towels were provided each; one for the shower and one to take to the beach. The buffet breakfast was good. We adored the bacon!

Beautiful Resort and 2 nice swimming pool”
Booked a Delux room and upon check in, they upgrade to a suite room. They reception was very friendly and helpful. Suite room is marvelous, huge. The beach is not so dirty at all as they tried to clean up every morning. So it's alright to visit Lanta in the low season. The breakfast selection is very dull, not much food at all. But you can walk out and grab a good breakfast for 80 baht. I didn't join the island tour but explore Lanta with a motor bike which I rent opposite 7-11. Overall, I love this Resort. Close to the town center, great bargain for the room and nice people.

Must Stay”
We recently spent 4 nights at the Royal Lanta Hotel. This is a quiet, clean, and cozy resort that walks out to a beautiful deserted beach. The resort staff are extremely helpful and will show you great activities, restaurants and always wave as you walk past! The pools are well-kept and in great locations :)

Excellent value for money”
We Stayed at the Royal Lanter for four days in March 2019. It would very much value for money. There are a few things that could make it better. The pool areas needed More shade as both were in full sun for most of the day. The room was lovely but could have benefited from few extras but all in all it was a good room. The staff made this place, They were always very helpful and super friendly. If we can meet to Koh Lanta we would stay here again

Beautiful suite”
We have been upgraded in a beautiful suite, the hotel is just on the beach, there is two refreshing swimming pools. The rooms are nestled in a fresh vegetation. The staff is very friendly. Restaurant is maybe not as good as the standing of the hotel, but it's quite ok. On the beach (100M from the hotel) if you like you can surf, windsurf, stand-up paddle, kayak... with "Koh Lanta water sport" very nice and friendly australians.
