Totallly Satisfied ”

Everything was great at the Royal Nyaung Shwe Hotel. Book early as the price will go up fast. Staffs were very pleasant. The room was great espeically stayed at another place the night before that was nowhere like this place for the same price. Breakfaat was good. Wish they woud have told me i can order eggs, until i saw others were being served. Location is within 10 min walking distance to downtown, but there are many good restaurants around the corner. A few things that definitely need improvement is the wifi keeps going in and out and was very frustrating. Could not get gmails unless on the phone with sim card. The pillows have a strong odor from the people who slept on them before. Make sure to bring your booking #. They did not have my reservation in their system when I showed up.

Hotel in middle of Nyaung Shwe (good if you want to see Inle Lake. Hostel price for a full-blown hotel. Love the huge buffet breakfast. Staff are super friendly and they extend help on tours as much as they can. Room is really big (I am a solo traveler), has all amenities of a hotel, incl bidet (yey!). A lot of restaurants around, there is even a night market. Whole town is walking distance.

Nice new hotel but some design flaws”

Let's get one thing straight: for the price, this is a really good hotel. The hotel is new, the rooms are clean and well equipped. Breakfast consists once again of the usual bread, eggs, potatoes, mohingar and noodles but this time also includes cereal. The staff are helpful and attentive. However, there were some problems that we encountered. Firstly, arriving off the night bus is a problem as you will not be allowed to check in until 7.30am. This potentially means arriving in Nyaung Shwe at 5am and having to wait in the lobby for 2 hours. This brings me nicely along to the next problem, the ground floor reception area is open plan. This is great during the day where you can relax in the shade away from the sun, if you so wished, but it is hell during the early morning or late evening where you will be eaten alive by the swarms of mosquitos. The hotel also had some problems with the water smelling awful, although I gather from another guest that this was a problem with the whole town. The staff didn't seem to know what the problem was and it did lead us to almost switch hotels, whereas if they had mentioned the whole town was suffering we would have been more understanding. Once again this leads us to the final design flaw. The wet room bathroom is horribly designed. A wet room is supposed to slant towards the drain; however, the bathroom doesn't. There is a dip in the center of the bathroom underneath the sink with the toilet and spray to the left and shower to the right. Both streams of water overflow into the centre leaving a pool over water under the sink for the duration of your stay. This only. Exasperated how bad the water stank. Don't get me wrong, this is a good hotel for the price. But I do not think it's deserving of such a high score. Maybe I'm being really petty as it is still a really good hotel, but I feel some of this things can and should be easily fixed.

New place, generous rooms”

I had a huge room with huge bathroom on the 5th floor (504). The view of Nyaung Shwe was fantastic. A/C worked well and was reasonably quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the staff very attentive. Breakfast is served as a large buffet with a range of options from traditional Myanmar to muesli. The location looks rugged but Nyaung Shwe is a large village. So a location nearer the market, for example, would just mean more noise, not nicer looking surroundings. Restaurants are still in walking distance. I didn't like: - The bathroom ventilator fan was very noisy (sounded like an animal tortured in there) and dropped dust on me one morning. - Wifi was not very fast. I had better Wifi at the hostel on the outskirts of Nyaung Shwe that I moved to after. - If you would like any info on tours etc. you'll have to ask at reception; there are no flyers or reading material..

This hotel is a rare gem! for the price, it is worth everything and more. I was pleasantly surprise when I reach Nyaung Shwe township and saw the lobby of the hotel. It was classy and bright. The rooms was even better. The toilet was huge! and the entire room looks clean and comfortable. The bed as soft and with good clean sheets and pillows. The breakfast too was wonderful with a good range of choice. Near to restaurants and night market, and you can take a day trip out to the lake and come back for a nice hot shower. I can't say more about this hotel. The best so far for the price during my travels in Southeast Asia!

Great stay”

We loved our stay at Royal Nyuang Shwe. Our room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Even with an extra bed for our two young children we had plenty of room to keep our luggage and spread out. The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was fine for what we needed - our kids loved getting the fried rice and an egg. We booked a lake boat trip through the hotel and it was a great day - the price was comparable to the offers we had from touts in the street (possibly $2-3 more for the convenience of booking at the hotel). Handy location to walk to many of the popular restaurants in town, nice to walk the back streets and have glimpses of everyday life such as kids in school. We had a great deal upon booking this hotel so it was very good value for money. We would definitely stay again.

The outside view of Nyaung Shwe from this hotel is really great. And it's so near to everywhere by use only walk for few minutes. The breakfast is really nice. I like this hotel so much! The staff service are really good! Anyone who visit here please come and stay here. This will be your great trip ever! It's a highly recommended hotel!

The best hotel for your trip to Inle Lake”

New and clean room with spacious and full of facilities bathroom. Good view from my room. Reasonable price. Delicious breakfast. Helpful and friendly staffs: I had good experience with Thanaka powder when one staff managed to help me use it. It is really worthy hotel if you have plan to visit Inle Lake.

We like this hotel very much. It's very new and everything is nice and very clean. Buffet breakfast is good. About 10 mins walk from the pier. Many restaurants and massage places near the hotel. The only problem is WiFi is weak if your room is located on higher floors. Our room was in 301 and we had to stand at our bedroom door to get decent WiFi signal. Great value & we'll stay here again if we return to Inle Lake.

Newly hotel ”

Room was clean and big. Breakfast is acceptable. Aircon is cold and clean toilet. No many comment of this hotel . Good Location and you can rent a bicycle in front of hotel and this place doesn't allow to rent bike for foreigner. Easy to find food around the hotel . Root top of hotel can see the Inle lake and view of the town

Receiptionist were there when i arrived at 5am. He is very helpful to get me the boat for inle lake tour on the spot. The rooms is spacious and clean. The bed also comfortable. Provide breakfast. About 500mtr from JJ express bus station. Bicycle rental shop just infront the hotel. Can rent there.

Clean New Hotel (Great Location for Touring)”

This is a new clean hotel with excellent facilities. It is on the edge of the town of Nyuang Schwe away from the towns bustle which is great with us, but near enough to meet all needs. Staff will help you book tours and is easy to communicate with. We took a trip on Inle Lake, a ride to Pindaya, and a ride to Kakku while there.

Everything is great”

I stayed only one night. If I visit Inle lake again I will stay this hotel. Near by market and night market . And calm and clean. I stayed dom, very comfortable and bathroom is big, clean, even beautiful. I think.

I was a solo traveller & I love this hotel. The breakfast was also awesome. The staff were also very helpful except for this short girl woman who keeps on walking around & she doesn't smile at all. Maybe she's a manager cause she's not wearing the staff uniform. She looks grumpy, not good for the awra of the hotel. Hahaha! Just saying. Anyway, aside from that nothing else. Will surely recommend this hotel to people who will visit Inle :)

A good stay in Nuang Shwe”

It's very near bus station in Nuang Shwe. The facilities are new and clean. It's a good choice to stay in Nuang Shew. There's a local food nearby the hotel. You can try Shan and Intha food in it, too.

Exceptional”

Hotel itself is really great and new. but staff needs to be well-trained. Compare to other 3 hotels I stayed in Inle, Bagan and Mandalay ... the hospitality and how to check in and out need to be improved.

Very clean and nice place to relax”

I came to stay after I did the kalaw to Inle lake and this was a great place to relax and rejuvinate. The shower is amazing. Definitely would stay again.
