Excellent service!!..they really help you when you need it!. Affordable and a clean place to stay!. The staff was great and treated you with respect and love!!. I stayed a whole week here and I highly recommend anyone coming here!. It's not a luxury hostel but Is good enough to sleep shower eat and be at peace with clean facilities!. Can't beat that 😉😊

I am thrilled I stayed there for a few nights. ”
Well I was bargain shopping for places to stay. I got a discount and I couldnt have been happier for the price. Staff is super nice, there's free coffee, my room had a desk, dresser and a closet. I didn't need much, this was a nice hostel with spacious rooms in a good location.

Great Location”
(+) - Great location. It is near the metro station, bus stop, convenience store (CVS), and bank. - The room is clean and the air conditioner is cool. - The beds are ok. We had a good night sleep. - There is drinking water in the kitchen. We can cook our food there or make tea. - The area is ok. It’s pretty quiet at night so my little one can sleep well. (-) The receptionist was very late. We arrived at 3pm for check-in and the receptionist was not there. We were very tired and wanted to rest but have to waiting until around 6pm. Luckily the room was ready and clean when we checked-in.

After reading the reviews I was really expecting the worst. But it turned out to be a very good experience. Of course it wasn't the Hilton, but for the price I paid, it was clean, nice staff, excellent location, hot showers and everything I could ask for.

Comfortable”
I was here for 3 nights in mix 2 beds, lucky that my roommates also nice. Well the staffs are nice, the kitchen was providing all you needs. Consider to go back since location was near subway station.

Worth Tracking To”
I enjoyed my trip. The cons about the trip The windows do not lock, there are miniature roaches in the room, the beds are very lumpy but comfortable but uncomfortable. They don't have bed bug covers on the pillowcases or bed. My room did not get cleaned while I was there, there were people feeding animals off of plates, and the place needed some work. The pros Amazing location, right next to the park right next to the water, friendly atmosphere, safe environment, walking distance from a walk-in clinic CVS Dunkin donuts consignment shop whole foods supermarket bookstore restaurants Subway. A lot to do at night and not that close to downtown Manhattan but three stops away on the subway. Would I recommend this place 2 people yes despite the roaches and people using the plates to feed animals. Otherwise I will travel to be there again. It's a must-see for the price good prices.

You get what you pay for.”
You get a good price, if you book far enough in advance. It's not too expensive, but don't expect much. The beds are not very comfortable. The place could use a good cleaning, especially the rest rooms. They also need to stock up the rest rooms with toilet tissue more often. Some rooms have a sink in them. Some rooms don't have an air conditioner. Check in and out are easy. The hostel is in a nice area with plenty of places to eat and to buy things you may need, and it's close to transportation.

It was good but”
our bathtub was disgusting. The toilette flush wasn’t working when we first got there. But it got fixed. But the worst thing was the homeless person in the bathroom. He wasn’t aggressive but we couldn’t use the bathroom at night.

I stayed at the Central Park West hostel for quite some time. I was here filming a tv show for work. I went in with the knowledge that because of coronavirus the hostel was unable to keep the housekeeping staff on board. They provide fresh linens and towels But don’t expect the rooms to be that thoroughly cleaned. Nothing terrible, just obviously rushed. But what do you expect from one person? The front desk person Sam is probably the best customer service agent they have. He’s friendly and accommodating and the most helpful of the bunch. The rest of the crew is pretty silent, but not bad either. For 20-30 a night in NYC.... In a very posh area.... give me a break with all these terrible reviews. You see a good business struggling and you tear them a new one? Just heed my review and just know what to expect. Maybe bring some wipes or cleaning spray. I know the housekeeping person wouldn’t mind the help and it’s the least you can do for such an amazing rate on a private room in Manhattan. The location is amazing. Walking distance to both Central and Riverside Parks. I never spent much time in anyways.

I stay at CPWH often. I do not know if others would consider it fine, but it suits my purposes. I have had some good, and some not so good experiences at this hostel.

Close to subway and other nyc amenities. Good if you're just using it for a place to sleep at night

It’s upper west, just saying. ”
It’s a good deal for a place to stay in the upper west side, you don’t find anything for this price there. Two blocks west from the park, line 1 2 3 station around the corner and many restaurants. I did not like that they don’t give you anything else than a sheet for the bed - I had to purchase blankets, and my floor wasn’t as nice as the others, but it was honestly a comfortable and very affordable stay in Manhattan. It’s a place you go to rest and enjoy the neighborhood around you, if you’re looking for hotel amenities, then it’s not the place for you.

Could Upgraded a little bit”
I love the location...very convenient for me the #1 train ...on Broadway to midtown area. The buses to Harlem area... But the room had a broken window, glass taped up with paper, very sheer cheap curtains, side lamp didn't work. Need a paint job in bathrooms & bedrooms with better curtains, geesh!!!!4 The room had no wash cloths/towels , me and another female...felt it was dangerous for the fire escape was outside our broken window...wth? Especially, females rooms! Any peeping Tom or rape artist could of came in there...very uncomfortable knowing our " WINDOW WAS TOTALLY BROKEN" RM# 507 GREAT LOCATION, restaurants everywhere!

No single room”
In the booking, it said Single Room n I wanted a personal room but there is none. Thankfully thru Agoda they managed to help me sort out. The staff is friendly and helpful but the bed is not comfortable at all. The super good thing is that is very easy to get around in the subway Line 1 which get you to most places.

You pay what you get, not much to say about it. There was one difficulty though, I arrived late at somewhere around 12 am and there was no one at the front desk. I had to wait around 30 min to finally have someone to check me in.
