Beautiful Hotel ”
This is such a stunning building. I loved the old feel to it. The rooms are a nice size, bright and clean. The staff is beyond pleasant and helpful! A bit of construction going on, but I heard nothing. Even the cleaning staff was quiet in the halls!

3 night stay”
Like all NYC hotels the prices are soy high due to added taxes erg so unfortunately that will always be a downside. However, compared to the last time we were at this very hotel over a decade ago it has been done up immaculately and is impressive and stylish. Rooms were big and comfortable. We got a room right on the edge of the first floor with some scaffolding outside but nonetheless this didn't make much of a difference. Bathroom small but has everything you need. Note it can take a while to figure out how to get the hot water going.. Wi-Fi signal in the room was choppy. Biggest perk is the location just 2 streets from a subway to downtown and a 10 minute stroll from central park, which is incredible.

Best Hotel on Upper Westside!”
Old world hotel on the upper West side. Really charming with the staff that is willing to do everything to make the guests happy. Recently renovated back to its original glory. Frequently take my son to the hotel. The staff knows his name and he always says daddy this is my favorite place to stay.

Excellent stay on the upper west side. Great last minute value. Very clean and spacious rooms, friendly stay. Would stay again.

Good value with a reason though”
Hotel is very clean, historic and has new bathrooms. However the discount I believe is because room assigned was on a floor under renovation. Sounds of machinery, carpets covered up, etc. Services low, no room service, no doorman, short on bellman services. Very far west in Manhattan if you're taking a cab cross town it's costly, but the neighborhood is safe. Good French pastry shop linked to the hotel. Good bargain for 1 to 2 nights. Not luxury travel though.

Nice location right on the Metro line. Quiet sleep and comfortable bed. More expensive than most but worth it.

Great location, small rooms, European feel”
Enjoyed a recent stay at the Belleclaire -- location is excellent for walking and for connecting with the 72nd Street metro station, if desired. Staff members were helpful, and housekeeping manager named Theresa was especially responsive. Do feel it is important to mention that the "standard" category of double room is exceedingly small, and only one window exists... light within the room was very limited, so it was difficult to work within the room during the daytime, as the need arose during my stay. Also, the radiator-style heater in my room was broken, so the front desk arranged for a portable heater to be delivered, which was quite helpful. Construction is underway on several floors of the hotel, also. Neighborhood in which the hotel is located was relatively calm, and the tree-lined side streets were nice for strolling. Discovered a Middle Eastern food stall located not far from the Starbuck's location nearest to the hotel, and their chicken and rice platter was suberb!

Nice location, tiny room”
I have been to NYC many times over the years and stay in different hotels every time. This was probably the smallest room I’ve ever had. With only a full sized bed and two small carry on suitcases in the room, it was actually somewhat difficult to maneuver around the room. We were in an odd back corner down a hallway, so I don’t know if that impacted the layout. It was clean, the bathroom had a large shower, and the location and staff were great, I was just a bit surprised at how tiny the room was. (Looked nothing like the picture! 😂)

We had the Broadway suite, which was amazing. Had to do a bit of plumbing work though to get the heating working, but that also had its charm

מיקום טוב ונוח. בתי קפה, מסעדות ותחנת תחתית קרובים. 1. לא מסדרים / מנקים את החדר- שטיח וארון מלוכלכים. מיטה - רק מיישרים. 2. בשרותים הקטנים אין מתלים לבגדים או מגבות. 3. אין מכונת קפה ( יש קופישופ אמרו בקבלה ) אבל קומקום קיבלנו מייד כשביקשנו. 4. כיסא יחיד בחדר

We loved the exterior Bellclaire and received a warm friendly check in. The staff smiled, nodded or said hi when we walked by. The queen room on the top floor was clean, quite charming & had nice city views. Would not hesitate to stay again!

Excellent value”
The staff is so accommodating, the rooms are clean, fantastic coffee/ pastry breakfast included, nice quiet UWS location. We always stay here when we venture into the city. Easy walk to Lincoln Center, Columbus Cirlce, and Central Park. Close to the 1 subway to easily get downtown. Love it!

Belleclaire has a friendly, attentive staff, access to Millefeuille Cafe and is on Broadway,@77 accessible to quick surface transportation to Lincoln Center, museums on Upper East Side.

Location Perfection”
I loved this place, the halls are narrow but this place offers a perfect location, walk everywhere. It was my first stop and time in New York and this made me love the city. Staff excellent!

Very Good stay”
Hotel Belleclaire might not be right in the center of Manhattan, but if that is not so much of a problem to you I think it's a great option worth considering. Initially we were given a very small room, the hotel was fully booked and we did not like that. The following day we were assigned the room that we booked for (a standard double) and things were great again. Internet works really well, breakfast is nothing special but there are very valid options outside, rooms are comfortable and relatively quiet, staff did a marvellous job with us so we cannot complain there too! All in all a very good stay.

This is my fourth stay at the Hotel Belleclaire. I love the location, so close to shopping, the metro and great restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful.
