Best hotel experience of 2019”
I spent the last few weeks traveling to Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. My stay at Hotel Istana was by far the best hotel of my trip in every respect. It was the least expensive hotel I stayed in. Yet it was the finest with a terrific view of downtown and the Petronas Twin Towers. Location is ideal, as it is walking distance to the monorail and other metro lines making it easy to get to/from the airport and other locations downtown. It is also walking distance to Butik Bintang, Jalan Alor, Pavilion Mall, and many other places you may want to visit. We also walked from the hotel to Chinatown (Petaling Street) and the Petronas Twin Towers. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The came by the room late afternoon to see if fresh towels or other bathroom items were required. The staff was courteous and professional. The swimming pool was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Excellent service and hospitality”
Staffs were very kind and professional. They take care us very good. For the room was very clean and beautiful. We chose the twin tower view room. It was great! We could relax there. And also we loved the music in the room. It was very nice! For breakfast, many variety of foods with the good garden view and pool. We spent a lot of time there. For the location, it was near the Raja chulan station . Very convenience. Just a 10-15mins walk to Pavillion. If you prefer to enjoy the shopping, i recommend here! If i have a chance to visit KL again, i will go to Istana 100%

A very satisfying stay”
We arrived just in time for check in,.the staff were all very helpful and and friendly soo nice towards us. Upon check in i told the front desk that im celebrating my birthday here and if possible i want a room with a very nice view. She was so kind,upgraded our room and gave us a spacious room facing KLCC tower. I accidentally left my make up bag at the counter and when i went down to find the bag,a staff (i forgot his name) approached me and told that the bag is safe and kept by them. I was so happy and relief,cannot imagine if i lost the bag,lots of things inside. All in all it was a really nice experience staying there,we just walked to LV store near Pavillion. Thank you Istana Hotel.

This hotel is well located in the heart of KL city centre for food and shopping. Ever since I've been holidaying in Malaysia, we always stay in this hotel whenever we are in KL. The hotel staff are very polite and always prompt at responding to all our requests. Although the rooms are always clean, the only negative is that the internal furnishings and bathroom/toilet units are getting rather old. I feel that the rooms are overdue for some refurbishment.

Great location with friendly and helpful staff ”
I always stay at Istana because of its handy location, friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are large and clean. The breakfast buffet is excellent with something for all tastes and diets. The pool and gym are also good. All staff are helpful and friendly where nothing is a problem. I would recommend Istana hotel to all.

A premium hotel, conveniently located very close to the Monoriel station, just a few steps from Alor street, close to the Twin Towers and the KL Eco Park ... excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms, professional attention, and warm smiles. The hotel is one of the older ones in KL, but it is well maintained, clean and still high end. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Due to the floor plan the lobby is a bit dark and not very impressive, but the staff gives a warm welcome and is helpful. Free parking for 1 car per room. The breakfast is outstanding, a huge selection of local and arabic food.

Amazing, AMAZING hospitality”
Among the best hotel to stay in KL so far. Amazing in-room dining experience, outstanding housekeeping, free Anniversary set-up service, and spectacular breakfast buffet spread! We had bad experience at Hotel Istana before. Stayed five nights and realize bed bugs swarming in our headboard on the last night. all other experience were nice except for this issue. The guest service manager apologized profusely and promised to upgrade our room to their suite in our next stay. so 6 months later, we returned (this trip), and he kept his promise. we got our suite and our whole experience were blissful. Thanks Hotel Istana! Definitely will return in the future

I love this hotel and have been staying here for years. It's elegant and classy; perfect for those who value beautiful design and old world charm. The location is perfect- you're in the heart of the shopping and dining district with hundreds of options to choose from. Having breakfast outside in the garden is the perfect way to start the day. Beautiful hotel in perfect location.”
This is our second stay at this hotel and we actually had to stay 4 nights as AirAsia had cancelled our original flight. It is ideally located to walk to the major shopping areas of Bukit Bintang and even the Petronas Towers with a monorail station across the road to access other areas. All the staff are very polite and professional, the rooms are great and the facilities are good. We love the massive buffet breakfast but it can get hectic at times. We will definately book here on our next trip to KL.

Definitely highly recommended!!”
This is the 2nd time in the last three months that we've stayed at this hotel. My first experience staying in Istana was way back in 2003 when travelling on business and I've been hooked since then. Throughout the years when I've stayed at this hotel both on business or on holiday, the one thing that has never changed is the quality of service and the friendliness of the staff. Although the rooms interior décor is starting to look a bit dated and could do with another facelift, the housekeeping team is still of a very high standard and the rooms are kept very well cleaned. I would still tell anyone who's interested in holidaying in KL to use Istana not just because of its excellent location but I know that like me and my wife, they will always remember the very high quality of service from the staff ranging from porters, concierge, reception to housekeeping and end up being hooked in, just like us.

I love everything in this hotel. Old Mala hotel styles with Excellent location which is few steps to Pavilion, friendly and professional staffs, breakfast is good where you either go for Nasi Lemak, Chinese noodle or croissant, Toasted bread with Jam and butter ... they even have letter and cookies sent to say goodbye before the check out day. Anyway, I would be thanks full for such a wonderful stay in Istana and great time in Kuala Lumpur.

Very clean and comfortable stay. While the room lacked plug points, my request for extension cord was met immediately without any hassle. Location is within comfortable walking distance to shopping malls, food & pubs. It was not my first time staying here & it would not be the last.

Though it is a five sart hotel , the room and facilities looks a bit old, but still very clean and nicely maintained. Friendly staff, very central and close to MRT. Great price for the service, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is an old hotel but with good maintenance. The room was clean and spacious for our stay. The location of the hotel also very convenient to food, shopping and sightseeing. We will come back again in our next visit to KL.
