Staff were helpful and kind. Facilities were simple but fine. Location didn’t feel great for a solo woman, but the hostel was relauvely close to the pier to visit Ko Phayam and staff kindly arranged transport.

Very unique and authentic ”

Loved the unique design of bungalows Would stay here again. Only suggestion is bring ear plugs or have some white noise for when neighbourhood dogs decide to bark in the night.

Ok for one night. ”

For me place is ok for one night. (Especially small rooms). Not very comfortable but still in reasonable price. Now I would chose something closer to station because of dogs. Watch out going there on your own during the night. A lot of angry, lonely dogs on way from bus station!! Really aggressive! But still the stuff was very helpfully and kind!

Hotel was fine, till we showed up, only to find out that our reservation was not what we ordered. We had a room with no air conditioning, but with fan. After long awaits and a lot of confusion, they cancell the original order and made a new one. I was not happy.

Beautiful green resort in good location”

Beautiful wooden "tree house style" bungalows with air conditioning and open outdoor bathroom. Lots of green plants around. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We also rented a motorbike directly from the hotel. Highly recommended place to stay!

Good place to stop for a night before the islands”

Good place to stay when you are going to or coming back from the islands. A short walk into town. the staff are nice but don't speak much english. Free hot water is appreciated. The rooms are a good size with AC and a fridge which is always good news in Thai heat! We really liked the sunken bathroom out the back downstairs. Wifi was reliable too.

Excellent Resort for the Right Price”

I very much enjoyed my single night stay here at Monpai. It was so relaxing and the staff were very accommodating. I had everything I needed and more. My only regret is the location, but if you're just passing through for one night, this place is perfect for an evening.

Beautiful property, good ambiance, helpful staff”

I stayed in a room for one night to attend the Loy Krathong festival. Nearby there are restaurants, a supermarket, food stalls and even saw a karaoke place. The property is beautiful, quiet, with much greenery and cool bungalows. Staff was helpful in getting me a taxi to the pier. Free coffee was a huge plus. Only complaint is bad water pressure in shared showers.

I really enjoyed my night at the Monpai. The charming Bungalows used a lot of natural and repurposed materials.That added to the character of the rooms.

Room was very clean. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk to Ranong Market.
