Wonderful place to stay”
The bungalows here are wonderful, and the setting is a small piece of paradise. There is the most beautiful lake, dinner can be taken at tables right by the lake - the setting is idyllic. It is a small walk to the beautiful buffallo bay beach, we preferred to be slightly away from the beach as it is quieter and more private. The bungalows are simple, with a very comfortable bed, nice linen and pillows, a shelving unit, a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet - only cold water (but this is all you need in Thailand). The food at the restaurant here is exceptional with meal prices starting at £2 per main course dish. You would be hard pushed to find a more beautiful setting for your meal. Staff here are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lec is the most brilliant host, the owner, particularly well travelled himself, very knowledgeable and so very helpful with all sorts of advice about Thailand and surrounding countries. We will most definately be back.

Great host great location.”
This places claims to have the king of thai curries in the kitchen and for the most part the curries are lovely. The rooms were clean with ensuite toilet and shower, host dogs are lovely we had bo bo chilling with us on our porch and its a five minute walk to the best beach in thailand for peace and quite with monkeys when we were there. when the tide goes out locals go crabbing and we walked out with them to watch the crabs scuttle about which was brilliant. The restaurant looks over a lovely lake/pond and is regularly visted by Great Hornbills.

Lovely place and very nice people”
This small bungalow is right next to a very lovely lake. The location is very close to Buffalo Bay which is always quiet. It's not the cheapest place you can find on Koh Phayam but it's worth all the money you pay for. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Staff are very friendly yet polite. Food here is delicious and reasonably priced. The owner ,Khun Lek, is very nice. He went out of his way to help out all the guests. We stayed there for ten days and we got offered some Thai desserts as a surprise. When we were there, for many nights, he took a small group of guests to Buffalo Bay to look for hermit crabs. It was a great fun. On Christmas eve, the resort had a small party for the guests. Free food and some drinks. I've never seen anything like this. It doesn't feel like you're in a commercial resort which tries to knock out money from you all the time. It feels like you stay at your friend's house. It's quiet, friendly and warm. Highly recommended.

Best stay on Koh Phayam”
We had the best time at the rabbit bungalow on Koh Phayam. The host was very welcoming and always helpful. He also always had tips for us on where to go and about what was going on on the island. Calling him friendly would be an understatement - we had a blast! The rooms are rustic yet cosy. Some insects are to be expected but that's just how it is with bamboo / wooden bungalows... That rabbit's is not directly located at a beach isn't a problem because the beaches are very nearby and there is a little lake to sit by and enjoy a cold chang. We will come back and also recommend this place to our friends.

Beautiful cabin by the lake”
Absolutely idyllic setting by a beautiful lake with an abundance of wildlife and birds. The setting is quiet and peaceful, the staff always have a smile and are always happy to help. Lec is extremely helpful with everything especially travel advice and really goes the extra mile. The food is outstanding - the pumpkin curry is absolutely delicious. The beds are very comfortable, water, toiletries and housekeeping are provided daily. WiFi is good. This place really is a delightful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of life. The beautiful buffalo bay beach is a 5 minute walk away, motorcycle hire 3 minutes walk (£5 a day, just need your passport number). Shop is 5 minutes on a motorbike or 20 minute walk and is pretty well stocked. Would totally recommend staying here.

Relaxing base with kind hosts”
I've stayed at Rabbit more times now than I can count. Lek and his team are kind hosts who make guests feel genuinely welcome. The location is a peaceful forest lot, and the bungalows have enough space between them to create some privacy. The restaurant makes delicious Thai food. If you are looking for a relaxing base from which to explore the island, with a hammock on your bungalow porch to lounge in, Rabbit is the place!

Nice staff & service mind with good location”
The owner of rabbit bungalow is so kind, friendly and helpful. All staffs are service mind and friendly with everyone. The location is among the forest and some orchids surrounding there. I feel fresh and safe. We can go to Ao Kao Kwai by walking about 200 m. We can see the starry at night and plankton in the sea sometimes.

Great place to stay! Great and clean bungalows, good Wi-Fi and the nicest owner who took us to the Beach at night and showed the most amazing bioluminiscent Algaes! Only drawback is that the Beach is a 5 min walk where swimming isn’t great at low tide (but that goes for most of the Island). However its central location makes it easy to go every where! The staff was very welcoming and friendly - and where great at helping with all questions, including a nice welcoming about the island. The very best recommendations.

After we arrived we were welcomed by the host. He is so friendly and gave us lots of tips about what to do on the island! Great welcoming. Bungalows have everything you need really. They clean your room everyday and supply you with enough water. Very relaxed and quiet vibe, 5 minutes walk from a beautiful beach. And they have the best curry EVER!!! It's insanely good! Thank you so much for everything and making our stay so lovely. We would definitely come back!!

We were welcomed sincerely. The host showed us everything we needed to know before getting to know the Island. With a lot of tips and places to go we were ready for the stay in Koh Payam. The Bungalows have a very good location so it’s easy to get to the beach and get some food (at Cha-Chai Home you’ll get everything you ever needed). The Bungalows had everything we needed and it wasn’t that bad, that there was no electricity in some hours if the day. All in all: An amazing place to stay on this beautiful island. Thank you!

Great host & beautiful serene place”
Lek was amazing. Great host that made our stay so comfortable and assisted wherever was needed in a prompt manner. The currys there were so delicious, I recommend trying to pumpkin curry. I would recommend this place and return.

Calm, Relex, Beautiful place”
It is beautiful place. calm and relex. Owner of the Rabbit Bangulow is very kind and we enjoyed more in Ko phayam from his careful kindness. We woke up with lots of bird sounds and joy of light morning. The location is good. 5mins from beach and kind middle of the island so we could easily go to north and south as well. We will miss Rabbit bungalow.

Beautiful resort ”
This is a beautiful quiet resort only 5 mins walk from buffalo bay. The bungalows are very clean with good towels and bedding. The coffee is very good as is the breakfast. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to have a curry but apparently they are the best in the region if not the while of Thailand. The staff are brilliant and can’t do enough for you. They got me a scooter and booked my return ferry ticket. The report is a little out of the way so I recommend hiring a scooter. This also gives the opportunity to explore the beautiful island.

Great Place with wonderful host. ”
Very clean huts and grounds. Few minute walk to the ocean. I'm writing to specifically mention the owner, Lek, and his staff's, friendliness and helpfulness. On my first day I had a minor crash with my scooter, resulting in some scratches that needed some attending to. Lek immediately provided me with cleaning stuff and bandages, and without a second of hesitation insisted to upgrade me for free to a better hut. Thanks, Lek! Also, the food is amazing and the dogs are super friendly. Apparently they're part of the family here.

It's really a paradise ”
Bungalows are essential but clean and very nice. Ko Payam is really a paradise and this structure too. The owner is friendly and there is a nice lake in the resort.

Nice, quiet bungalows with friendly staff”

Lovely place”
Nicest resort on the island. Location on a small lake where you can see kingfishers and hornbills and more animals. Small boot to go on the lake for free. Small menu so easy to chose and very good quality. Owner Lek is great and helps you with anything. Room with a fan but it was 38 degrees so too hot for us to stay but recommended if you can handle it.
