We really liked it here. Pleasant location, interesting building and very clean. The food was very good as well and the lady doing all the work was lovely.

The reception lady was quite nice but the room was not clean. Many ants in the toilet and also on bed. The pillow smell so bad. I tried calling someone in the hotel many times for the direction but they didn’t pick up. There’s an AC but you can’t use it. To wrap up, I won’t choose this place for my next trip to Ranong

great place next to the hot springs.”
This is a nice place to relax after the hotspring. we booked 2 night and booked 1 night extra because it's so relaxed there and the food is great. The owner and her staff are doing a good job to make every guest feel welcome. The rooms are not big but very clean. nothing is to much for the staff. I ordered something what was not on the menu but this was noproblem. iWhen you wake up in the morning the first thing you get is a smile from the staff and asking if you want coffee. What do you want more. When you go to Ranong try to stay here it's next to the hotspring and in 10 min walk you are in the centre of Ranong. We will go back soon for sure. thank you Sophie and staff for staying at this wonderful place.

Great place near Hot springs”
Room is very nice and comfortable. The lady at the desk is very friendly and I liked the overall atmosphere of the place. Only short distance away from hot springs.

Friendly outgoing staff. On edge of jungle. Close to amazing hot springs. Breakfast was very nice. The only thing i can say negative is that the pictures of the rooms on the web site are optimistic. But I had a wonderful time. The reception and porch are beautiful and a wonderful place to gather.

Great Staff”
We stayed at the House of Happinez for 1 night on our way to Kih Chang Noi. On arrival the staff were very accommodating and friendly and gave us the pick of rooms as we were first to arrive. The beautiful hot springs were a short walk away. Swing offered us beer and my daughter biscuits on arrival and was very attentive to our needs and cooked us a beautiful dinner. She is excellent with children. The rooms are basic but very clean (the bed is hard but at the price we paid there is no complaints). The building is very quirky and overall we enjoyed our night.

Couldn't contact hotel”
I tried to contact this hotel to confirm my booking because I wasn't sure what site I had booked thru., and I had received no confirmation of booking from Agoda. I received no reply from the owner, whose telephone number I had. When I then went online i found the hotel was fully booked - of course. The result is that I paid twice: for the Happinez and for another hotel in Ranong. This isn't good enough.

The hotel is tucked in the foot of a dense and green forest adjacent to the river so the room is damp and less sun and equipped with basic necessities. It worked for us as we spent the day time at discovering city and parks, bathed at hot springs, and only needed a serene place not in downtown to sleep. The only downside is the bed which is less comfortable with noise when you move. However, the hospitality of the staff, Frank, Sophie, and Swing, surpasses all. They accommodated us the best they could--- let us change the date due to our illness, picked us up at the bus station on the motorbikes, and tell us how to get around, without up-selling the package tour. The cook prepares the meal based on what in season and market availability. We didn't have a chance to try. The hotel is adjacent to the Raksawarin park with a nice little walking path, about 250m., to the hot spring where we bath and relax every night. A genuine luxury indeed.

Cozy guesthouse, close to hot spring and helpful staff”
This small guesthouse is located in a public park, with 5 min walking to hot spring, which open 5am - 9pm and is also FREE! The room is small but has everything needed. The front desk manager Swing is a Thai lady. She speaks good English and is very helpful. Swing is a good chef, and prepares good European and Thai food. The owner of the guesthouse also run dive safari tours to Thai and Myanmar dive sites. I would definitely stay at this lovely guesthouse next time I visit Ranong.

I had booked room 2 but was given room 3 which was different and more basic than shown in the photo. The bathroom was small enough to take a shower whilst sitting on the toilet which was flushed by scooping water into the bowl - no flush in this particular room - the seat was broken and kept falling off. The place looks much nicer in the photos. On the positive side, the food was good and it is in a quiet location 5 minutes from the hot springs. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk to the town and Ranong itself is worth a visit.

Dishonest and unorganised”
This hotel is run by dishonest people who do not understand how to run a hotel. Total disorganisation. I'd called and text the number on the website to arrange pickup for the bus stop, but the texts were read and ignored. Not Helpful. I arrived on Friday evening for my stay of 2 nights, the housekeeper had no record of my booking - a miscommunication between her boss or Agoda. Who knows. They were fully booked so had no space for me. Having been on a bus for 10 hours, I was happy to just sleep in the reception as it was late. The kind housekeeper set up a sofa for me for the night. Once I finally checked in on Saturday , the room full of ants and was pretty dank with no mosquito net. The food ok, but only a few things could actually be made on the menu so limited and overpriced. There was no wifi which I helped figure out needed more credit. There was no urgency in resolving this problem. The lady running the hotel on a day to day basis is v sweet, but overwhelmed and seemingly left alone while the two German owners are nowhere to be seen. As I was unable to stay in a room on the Friday, I was expecting a full refund for the first night. Agoda has informed me that the hotel said I arrived on the Saturday. And therefore missed my checkin. Lying about my Friday arrival, and not refunding me. I rarely leave reviews, but feel v upset about the hotels actions and feel that should be shared.

We, my wife and I, a seasoned traveling couple from Switzerland, spent three nights before embarking on a Diving Safari (see Aladdin Divers Ranong) and one night after returning from the boat journey. The Guesthouse has four rooms and is located on the outer edges of town, conveniently located to the public hot springs (see Ranong Hotsprings). The building is nesteled into the hillside of a lush forest, making it nicely cooler, however also a bit damper. Walking distance to the city's commercial center is 20-25 minutes (at a slow to medium pace). A convenience store is 10 minutes away. We found the room to be clean and convenient. Swing, the receptionist, manager and cook is your contact for pretty much everything. She is very helpful in respect of the needs you may have and we certainly enjoyed her traditional Thai-style cooking. Considering the very reasonable price of approx. 20$ a night we feel confident to recommend this establishment to travelers to Ranong.

Humid surrounding and damp, clammy beds”
We had room 1 and 4. At both rooms there is a fan that should keep the room less moist, but it did not work (must have been for longer time not working). In room 4 there is an aircon, which does not work either. We did sleep in dank beds with the smell of mildew. Awful! I understand that it is because the rooms are nearly in the jungle, but I cannot understand why nobody tries to maintain the lodging. In room 1 in the bathroom there were millions of ants. I would recommend to spend a little more money and sleep somewhere else to protect your health.

kind staff, great location for spa, hood price”
Rooms are very small but clean and good enough for a short stay. Food is home-made and it was great. Staff is helpful, kind and speaks great english. It is 5 minutes walk from the spa in a cozy and serene environment
