BEYOND EXPECTATION! TOTALLY IN LOVE!”
when i booked this hotel early of April 2021, i messaged the hotel asking whether if could have balloons in the room since i book the hotel for my 8yo daughter's birthday and the trip was a short birthday staycation, just us family. the hotel said okay, but i need to put the deco myself since the hotel didn't provide such service. am okay with that and i proceeded buying all sorts of party things. when we check-in, my 8yo CRIED! bcos the hotel room was filled with ballonssssssssssss! and, I DIDNT EVEN DECO IT YET! THE TV WAS PLAYING BIRTHDAY SONGS ON REPEAT! she was so happy! oh gosh! KL journal, i truly turly truly love u! Wins~~ MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE HOTEL ON EARTH, if i may say. MOST BEYOND EXPECTATION! other things such as room, cleanliness, location etc etc, is no doubt super 5 star! pool of course is super hip (but it's open to public, so just pray that there arnt a lot of people) then again, its suppose to have that 60's pool feel.. so crowded pool just goes with the theme

One of the best hotel in KL”
This is what a great great Hotel it is, to me. The stuff here is nice 8/10. The rooftop pool and hotel lobby is well designed, the cozy atmosphere here is an interesting contrast compared to the hectic bukit bintang road. The room is well cleaned and accessories are all there. Our room is on 10th floor, the view is so amazing that u could almost witness all skyscrapers. The parking underneath the hotel is rm10 per entry for hotel guests so it's a budget way to travel with monorail service and walking without having worries of driving and parking. The location is great, just a 3 mins walk to bukit bintang street or pavillion, two stations away from low yat and berjaya timesquare, u can even go to klcc from Pavillion. Overall, a great hotel that doesn't cost u a fortune, perhaps best budget luxury hotel in KL to me.

Stylish, well-branded boutique hotel”
The KL Journal Hotel was a hidden gem that offered a cosy and inviting stay without having to break the bank! From check-in, you're presented with a well-designed paper folder that houses all your necessary information and documents - from room keys, to welcome drink vouchers, a well-illustrated map of nearby spots to visit, and a mini-notebook to pen down anything important. Rooms were modern, spacious, clean and well attended to by room service. Rooms were cleaned daily with housekeeping leaving a small packet of local Malaysian biscuits to sweeten up your day upon your return to you room! Breakfast was a tasty affair with a good range of food selection. Pool on the top floor also provided a good view of the KL downtown area. Staff were attentive to the needs of guests and offered to port luggage to and from taxis, or up to the room. Overall, this is the best hotel I've stayed in KL providing a personal touch to service that you don't get from international chain hotels!

We will be back”
Where do we start? First off we were a little worried that the booking wasn’t going to be legit through here but were pleasantly surprised when things went so smoothly. This hotel is honestly so amazing. The attention to detail is incredible. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the journal hotel. It was aways clean and the staff always friendly. The breakfast had a lot of options, fresh juices and coffee and was all fairly tasty. The room was just like the photos, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was so nice! Everything was very clean and well stocked. The location is really good being so close to the monorail, bus stop as well as many restaurants and shopping malls. Thank you to everyone at the Journal for making our stay so wonderful. We really enjoyed our time and when we come back to Malaysia will definitely be booking with you again :)

Chic and good services”
Location: 5-7mins walk to Pavilion Mall, Lot10 and Bukit Bintang station. Very convenient Service: Efficient and friendly staff Room: well furnished and maintained. Room is clean and spacious. Wifi works well too. They also have Netflix on TV, which is a bonus for people that wants to chill in their very nice hotel room. Bathroom is equip with rain shower which is awesome! Room even came with a full length mirror! Only thing that can be improve is the hair dryer, or bring your own if you are particular. Brealfast: apart from the buffet items, you can order off their menu as well. Food are delicious! They have a rooftop bar with a small pool as well. Good for hanging out at night. Would definitely stay with Journal Hotel again! Thank you for your hospitality, The KL Journal Hotel!

Great option in Bukit Bintang”
Overall, staff, location, room cleanliness and rooftop bar are top notch. We had a room on a middle floor and still, the views were great as we could see one of the Petronas towers. The neighborhood behind the hotel is super seedy with the biggest rats ever, but the street front is perfectly safe/appealing. My one actual complaint is that EVERY time our across the hall neighbors opened their door it would be loud enough to wake us both from a deep sleep. Super creaky and annoying. Other than that, the place is "fancy" by my backpacker standards and is on a street right by the Bintang monorail. Staff were super helpful calling us cheaper, Grab cars every time we needed. The area behind the rat street does have some wild bars if you're looking for nightlife which is a bonus. Close by to Petaling and Alor, easy walks to and from both. Despite the neighborhood behind, there was always a friendly security guy on duty. Easily would stay here again.

Fantastic hotel in vibrant area”
I loved this hotel. I was in KL for a stop-over and would have extended my stay if my itinerary had allowed. Beautifully designed, spacious room with desk, great shower and very comfortable bed. I loved the room's artwork (photography), small souvenirs (555 book), magazines and retro feel. The rooftop pool was a great way to cool off and enjoy drinks and the sunset. Breakfast was epic with loads of options. I didn't get a chance to explore the area in great depth, but the hotel is a short walk from Jalan Sultan Ismail which was very lively at night and had great food. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Best hotel in middle of KL”
This hotel is the best! Here’s why: - The water pressure in the toilet is good, it has 2 shower head which is 1 in the ceiling like rain (big one) and 1 at the wall where it can be move. - They also has netflix and JBL speaker (yayyy) - The area of the hotel has many arab & shawarma restaurant! - 5 minutes walk to Bukit Bintang, Pavilion, Lot 10, Farenheit - The staff is very friendly and helpful - The surrounding of the hotel is peaceful - The swimming pool is so beautiful Cons: - The parking space is very limited. RM10 per entry so I park my car there and just using grab to go wherever I want. - The pillow is a bit uncomfortable in my preferences But overall, I really enjoy my stay here and definitely will come again for another staycation

A must-stay hotel”
Everything about the hotel is perfect. It's easy to find and in a very safe area. The hotel crews were very friendly and accomodating. On our first day, my kid wanted to watched netflix but at the time it's not working so we called frontdesk. The facility and IT support of the hotel did not stop until they fixed the netflix in our tv. Kudos to them! And also the room is cleaned everyday. They also refill the water and changed the sheets and towels. The breakfast buffet was very good also. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Malaysia. Thanks again!:)

Great hotel ”
The hotel has spacious, comfortable and clean rooms and its in a great location, walking distance to everything you need, shops, bars, food. The rooftop pool and bar is wonderful. A great place wind down after exploring for the door. Great to see no plastic bottles in the room and refillable bottle for water. My only gripe is, like many hotels, there is a card asking to hang your towel if you wish to reuse it or place on floor to replace it. I hang my towel but it was replaced with a new towel. Oh, the staff are great too!

So good”
From the minute I stepped out of the car, and was greeted by doorman who took my luggage, to the front desk staff, to the staff at the pool/lounge, I can't say enough about how much they made me feel welcome and valued. The room was even better than I expected. That shower, the water pressure and dual shower heads. One from the ceiling, like a waterfall. The bed, the best I have slept in SE Asia. Really, super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great. Plenty of options and made to order as well. Tell your friends to stay here!

Strategic location and friendly staff”
I was a solo traveler this time. When I reached the hotel, staff inside came out right away and helped me to take my luggage, even when the staff are doing room keeping, they will still say hi to u, very heartwarming. Room is clean and they just got what u need, gym, swimming pool, great poolside view, night bar etc. Only the pillows are not so satisfying to me😂, it's too soft and my neck got pain on the next day. Breakfast more to western style, but they have nasi lemak too, not much variety to choose.

Cozy, comfort, and delicious & stylish food”
Though this hotel can be classified as a budget style hotel, but it was over our expectation in terms of modern design, stylish n cozy design, very confortable mattress and pillows, very good hot and water flow. The most we love about this hotel was breakfast offerred, one word to explain everything was AMAZING, very nice taste, choices, style and the concept was as different as other hotelsz we'd been given a catelog of food choice that will be prepared immediately, fresh and hot! And we definitely will come over here again and again..

I have reviewed my stay here in Agoda on July 25th during my stay in KL Journal on 4th July - and am back here again! Because I seriously could not find any other better hotels that fits to my liking! I was welcomed by the great fantastic team (whom seem to know that am back!) and even acknowledged you because you are their returning guest. Little things like this makes the stay worthwhile! Requested for an early check in prior due to an early mrng flight and just needed to snooze in for a bit and my room (Deluxe room) was all ready when checked in! Their casual yet personalised service makes you feel at home, where everyone is family! Congratulations to the KL Journal Hotel, management & team from all depts for a stay that I have truly enjoyed again! Hope this review will assist anyone travelling to KL!

2 nights in KL”
Nice and clean hotel, in a good position. You need just 5 min walk to be at the street food, or inside of the Pavillon center. The Petronas tower are also near (10 - 20 min) with LRT and the airport is just 1 hour away with Klia express and MRT. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast propose diferent kind of food. The staff is helpful and kindly. Will be back to the Journal during our next trip in Malesia :)

Excellent hotel with good location”
We had a fantastic stay at the Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel. Location is excellent, couple of minutes walk from the metro station, as well as from the Pavilion mall, so good starting point to explore the city. Several restaurants and shopping possibilities nearby, and despite of its central location, the hotel is really quiet, so you can easily relax. We loved the welcome package with the "home made" map, showing all the recommendations where to eat and how to spend your day. The bluetooth speaker in the room is also a great idea. Breakfast is excellent quality, wide variety of hot and cold dishes. The staff was kind and helpful from the very first minute until the end. Excellent value for money, had a memorable stay!

Quiet hotel with a pretty Retro vibe”
Loved every bit of the stay. Room was clean & spacious, the view magnificent, breakfast was good, and the poolside gives a peek to that 70’s vibe and that’s pretty cool. The place was pretty quiet cos it was Xmas eve and our kids enjoyed the pool to themselves and we took plenty of pix. Staff were friendly too. Won’t have to think twice to book another stay. No Complaint At All, Perfect Hotel”
Everything was in perfect condition - staff were courteous and helpful, as well as efficient (and this is the strongest point I gave to make), the room and premises clean, centrally located in the biggest shopping district in KL, breakfast was ok as far as to fill up the stomach in the morning and room comes with with Netflix which I enjoyed very much. Really, I don’t have anything to complain about this hotel except to compliment.

Stayed 2 nights in this boutique hotel and very satisfied with the room. Its big and clean with a king size bed. Location is convenient, near MRT station and walk about 5-10 minutes to pavilion. There are also alot of shops around the area. There is free parking in hotel too. Carpark lot is a little weird, we have to drive up a “metal lot” and its very difficult to get in and out of the car. Overall its a nice hotel with the price we paid!

Nice hotel!”
Fresh built hotel (about 5-7 years ago) so rooms are still new and modern. Superb location in the center of Bukit Bintang but still on silent small street. Zero noise from the streets! Good view even from the 3rd floor. Great big bathroom. Huge TV with Netflix and local programs. Coffee machine with 3 free cartridges, free 2 bottles of water every day. Cleaning is good. Have iron and iron desk in room. Free welcome drinks on arrival can be received on 11th floor where bar & pool are located. Breakfast is just great! Very happy about the hotel overall, spent 5 nights there and no issues. Highly recommend!
