very expensive, public bath is poor”

Unlike other onsen ryokan, this one is a hotel, toilet within the room has big smell (like Indian curry). The window has grid stickers so we cannot see the lake without obstruct. The outside bath is small, only for 2-3 persons. Inside one is poor. After investigation, most hotels beside the lake have similar level. So if you choose to stay in Kamisuwa, you’d better find a cheaper one.

Satisfactory points 1. The kindness of staffs is the top rank among hotels in Japan 2. Great landscapes of Lake Suwa 3. Delicious Japanese style dinner and breakfast One thing that I am sorry about is the fact that it takes more than 4 hours from Tokyo to Lake Suwa. Nevertheless, Lake Suwa and the hotel are well worth for visiting.

This is a beautiful hotel which has the rooms dressed very authentically as traditional Ryokans. The staff were super polite, helpful and friendly. The dinner was the best we had in Japan served in our own private booth in the restaurant. Breakfast was nice too. The view of the lake was lovely.

Best possible ever Japanese experience for a Western family. Modern, clean but traditional Hotel. Amazing staff with all wiliness, flexibility and patience to help us adapt and enjoy an unique experience. The Room experience, amazing specially for people who love minimalism. The bath tradition, unique to relax. You dress on traditional Kimonos and be treated as a VIP guess. The food is an unique, fine, traditional and outstanding experience.

We had one of the smallest rooms facing the mountains. Although the room was rather small it was great value considering the excellent Japanese dinner and breakfast - bith served in a private room.

従業員さんの教育が良く気持ちのいい宿泊でしたが、施設が古く掃除も部分部分で微妙に汚れており非常に残念でした 最近はビジネスホテルでもこの程度のホテルなら1万円までで朝ご飯付きであります 大変なのはみんな同じです 一期一会を大切にしていただければ幸いです

本当に楽しかった”

浴衣を着れない時に、電話したら浴衣を着せてくれました。本当に親切で優しい方達ばかりだと思いました。夕食の時も花が気になって、なんの花ですか？と質問したら親切に詳しく話していただいたり、、、もちろんサービスも凄いですし、美味しい料理……文句なしです。 本当にこんな世の中になってしまいましたが、コロナの中のお盆を華やかにして頂きありがとうございました。また家族を連れていきたいと思います。
