Perfect Ryokan Stay!”

We stayed in Kurokawa Onsen for 1 night and glad we chose Miyama Sansou. The staff and facilities were excellent, and attention to detail was impeccable. We tried the traditional Kaiseki dinner, and it did not disappoint. Nice having your own private sulfur spring onsen in your room, but you also have access to the public onsite onsen, as well as the facilities of the adjacent sister-hotel. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing, Worth the Price and I will be back! ”

This Ryokan is amazingly nice. The room is spacious, clean, giving you a feeling of Japanese luxury. The facility is great with great onsen/hot springs, and garden. You may need a car to approach this Ryokan, but it is worth it!

Very good value of money!”

We had a very pleasant stay with the hotel. Although we have a private onsen in our room, we also enjoyed the public onsen in the hotel. It is large and clean and comfy! The onsen street is located around 10-min drive from the hotel. If you do not drive, better take the hotel shuttle bus. The dinner and breakfast were great too. I wish to come back again in the future!

Good service, convenient free shuttle service ”

Memoriable and enjoyable birthday for my boyfriend. Not close from onsen street but have free and frequent shuttle service. Better contact them ahead of time for reserving the shuttle service! Excellent environment and spacious room! Efficient and personalise service. Only thing for improvement is that there is no room service. Somehow I would like to stay in room to enjoy my meals quietly instead of walking a long way in the cold weather to the restaurant. Besides this, it will be perfect.

Great onsen and location”

Excellent and lovely location surrounded by trees. One of the best outdoor onsens i have been to. The furnishings are old and in need of renovation. Food is good but below my expections. Lovely and attentive staff members. Overall a wonderful stay but not value for money.

Great weekend getaway with hotspring.”

Spacious room/ Quiet and peaceful / brand new property

I stayed at Miyama Sansou for 2nights. The property just opened few months ago and not many reviews were available. However, Miyama Sansou was better than my expectations. And my husband and I fully rested during our stay at Miyama Sansou with our private hotspring tub and tasty food at restaurant Aze. I'll definitely revisit Miyama Sansou on my next visit to Japan.

Very nice detached homes”

The rooms are actually small detached homes and feel really private and comfortable. Inside was large, well designed, really clean and neat and the staff was awesome. The guests can use the hot spring bath at nearby Yamamizuki ryokan, which are about the best in Kurokawa. The only disappointing thing is that use of those open air baths is restricted at night (you expect they would be available 24/7). Food was very good and the staff more than helpful. In-room hot spring was very nice too!

Very friendly staff. Beautiful house and outdoor onsens. Highly recommended to check in earlier to take time and enjoy the beautiful onsen next to the river. Although one of the road to the hotel is under reconstrustion, its not difficult to find another way in.
