Exquisite Ryokan”

The room was like staying in a spacious Japanese house. It had a bedroom/living room, a sitting room with a view of Lake Ashi,separate toilet, bath/shower/washroom, separate powder room, extra bathroom sink. The staff were willing to please and went above and beyond. The onsen temperature was just right and often empty, so I had the place to myself. If you enjoy traditional Japanese food (Kaiseki style)you've come to the right place. The food wasn't brought to your room, but we were sent to the second floor tatami dining room, which was actually a good idea. While we were enjoying supper, the staff set out the futons so that when we returned the room was all set for a good night's sleep. The location is out of the way, far from town, so it's quiet and very dark at night (Check out the stars!)--perfect for relaxation and relieving stress. During the day, we walked to the ferry port, just next door, and crossed the lake to town, where you can find places to eat, or buy groceries, visit shrines (not to mention a tour of the lake). Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so we couldn't take the rope-way (cable car) up the mountain, but the Fall colors had come down so we didn't have to go to a higher elevation. Ryuguden Ryokan was a perfect antidote for our stress-filled lives. It may not be for everyone since it's out of the way, but if you plan to get away from it all and commune with nature, while receiving impeccable service, you've found the place.

Perfect Ryokan”

If you want to experience Japanese traditional Ryokan, I definitely recommend Ryuguden. This hotel has 2 different hot bath and all bath have nice view. And all of accommodation is very clean and neat. All staff of Ryuguden very nice and kind. They are familiar to foreign customer and good communicator. The room has beautiful lake view and food is good too. Highly recommed :)

Excellent traditional breakfast and dinner included. My Fuji view in room and outside onesen. Spacious room. Wonderful staff. Reserve free shuttle or have luggage transported from Hakone station. Tiny negative: Must take cab to pick up Hakone tour loop transportation.

Everything about this hotel was perfect! We were a group of 6including 2 young children. We had a great time enjoying the Japanese dinner and breakfast accompanied by the amazingly friendly yet meticulous staff. The rooms were clean and spacious. On top of all that, views from the rooms and the onsen were simply out of this world!

An excellent ryokan by the lake with views of Mt Fuji”

We had a delicious multi course dinner here, and a really nice breakfast. Excellent service staff. Clean and well maintained Onsen, we had an enjoyable bath with views of Mount Fuji. Highly suggest taking their free transport from Odawara. However you have to call to reserve seats on their bus.

Were able to accommdate a full vegetarian kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff use of shuttle bus was a definite plus. If you're looking for relaxation, views of Fuji and great food, this is the place.

Terrible service by staff for the amount of money we paid. Very old, bad, and dirty facilities. No hospitality whatsoever. Do not stay here. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

房間很大，潔淨舒適，早上可以在房間看到早出及富士山。接待處有台灣籍的服務員，完全沒有溝通問題。溫泉方面，本館的大浴場超級超級正，望住富士出浸溫泉。整體而言會選擇再次入住的溫泉旅館。

위치가 애매해서 교통패스를 어찌할까 고민했지만 류구덴 계열사인 이즈 하코네 사의 하코네 타비다스케 패스를 이용해 버스 유람선 고마타케로프웨이를 다 무료로 이용하면서 숙소 이용도 가능했고. 방에서, 노천탕에서 보인 후지산은 절경이었습니다. 프론트 직원인 단발머리 여성분은 호의로 편의점에서 필요한 물품을 퇴근후에 사다주셔서 감동이었고 식사 장소에는 한국어 공부를 하시는 종업원 분이 메뉴를 한국어로 설명해주시려고 해주셔서 덕분에 수월하게 맛있는 식사할수있었습니다. 정말 누구에게라도 추천하고 싶은 좋은 곳입니다. 다른 한국분들도 이 멋진 곳을 많이들 아셨으면 하네요.
