One of the best hotel I stayed in Japan.”
Perfectly located near Kyoto Station, the hotel gives a cool vibes in its environment. The staffs are knowledgeable and friendly. For our room, we took the Moderate Double which was amazingly spacious!! I have been to Japan a number of times and this is the first hotel that made me feel I have elbow space. The floor is NOT carpeted which I absolutely LOVE! The room feels clean and the bathroom was great! I personally feel the balcony is redundant because the hotel isn't tall and surrounded by buildings which won't give you any views. Could have made use of the balcony space to make the room bigger? Overall, the room is excellent!! Facilities are awesome, they have a sauna at their South building if you choose to use. They have a small gym with some basic treadmills. There is also a laundry area with washing machine and dryers for FREE, yes FREE!! Do take note that the dryer takes awhile to dry your clothes if its a lot (60mins). And free welcome drinks everyday between 5pm to 10pm!

Best Experience”
This was my first time in Japan and I came across this hotel. This hotel is very conveniently located within 5 min walking from Kyoto Station (JR lines and Shinkansen). It was convenient to go anywhere from the main Kyoto station and subways and trains are able to take you anywhere. Upon reaching the hotel, staffs were pleasant and was able to speak good english. Fireplaces are setup at level 1 of the hotel to add some heat in the cold weather. Check in Process was fast. Room is quite big and the bed was really very comfortable. I tried the buffet breakfast one of the mornings and was very impressed with the quality and the spread of the buffet. The food was a mixture of Japanese food (rice rolls) and international food. Very impressed with this hotel and will definitely come back and stay in this hotel the next time I am in Kyoto! Highly recommended for Solo and Couple travellers.

Wonderful stay. Location 10/10: only 2 mins walk from Kyoto station. Cleanliness 10/10: room is excellent clean, bathroom is clean and amenities are fully provided. Bathhouse 10/10: convenient bathhouse located in South Wing, we enjoyed it very much. Staff 10/10: front desk staff are polite and welcoming. Staff at bar( free drink every night) are nice and smiley. Facilities: excellent facilities - provided a comfortable stay for us. Value for money: definitely 10/10 :). Thanks very much Sakura Terrace Gallery Hotel. We will come back.

Excellent atmosphere & tasty breakfast”
The atmosphere in the whole hotel, especially the balcony in the room, the restaurant and the common area on G/F, was really relaxing. The balcony was so relaxing that it felt liked i could sit there for hours. The foods at the breakfast buffet are very tasty and with reasonable variety. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean. The teabag inside the room are great, which allows travelers to have a taste of the tea at kyoto. We really enjoyed the times we stayed there and will definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent Location, Food, Staffs ...”
The room is very spacious and equipped with sofas and there is a balcony in your room. There is welcome drink and you can even take out, you can even order their alcoholic drinks for free. The buffet breakfast is so luxury and the food is very delicious. I can't forget the good taste of the fried chicken, omelette, sausages, smoothies, fruit juice... The staffs in this hotel are very friendly and all can converse in English very well. This hotel is near to the Kyoto Station for all kinds of trains, shinkansen, JR lines, buses to all tourist spots. The design of the lobby is very modern, it is opened space. EXCELLENT !! We enjoyed our stay in Sakura Terrace The Gallery every night !! The mattress is so comfy, each single bed is provided with two pillows. I miss you, Sakura Terrace The Gallery !!

Near to Train Station”
Hotel is very near to train station, which is about 5-10mins walking distance. The staff speaks fluent english, hotel room is quite spacious, clean and very comfortable bed. There is a complimentary drinks and live band every night during my stays which is an additional bonus. There are 4 laundry machine with dryer which is Free, very good for long period traveller to clean their clothes. There is also a complimentary hot bathing for public. I had a very pleasant stay over there. Highly recommend to everyone. Well done!

Perfect place to stay if you do not want kids to be around”
This is a perfect place to rest and relax. - Price is reasonable - No kids are allowed to stay in this hotel.. making it a perfect getaway for those who wants peace and tranquility - breakfast selection is awesome, better than some 5 stars hotels - free drink every evening - dinner there is awesome and with reasonable price as well - onsen is available - room is spacious and comfortable - so close to Kyoto Station

From the moment you approach the property with the fire at the front you are in for a treat. The staff are welcoming and the rooms are spacious well appointed, good size and clean with a couch and TV. The property excells wiwhen it comes to the welcome drink each guest is offered nightly. Don’t miss the breakfast it is brilliant. Overall the hotel is warm generous, stylish and brilliantly located at a great price.

Exceptional”
Good service! We loved getting the free drink every night. We also spent a lot of time in the lobby cafe. Free tea, water, coffee, espresso, etc in an air conditioned environment. The room was also nice and clean. Good price for what you get as long as you don't mind being on the south side of the station. Not as much stuff there, but it still only a 5 minute walk to the station. Convenience store next door and good food (okonomiyaki and udon).

Great value hotel in central location”
This hotel was very comfortable and an easy 5 minute walk to Kyoto station. The little extras were lovely - free welcome drink each evening, the onsen, a lovely lounge area with open fire. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was good and the staff were great. Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't have breakfast there. The rooms were spotless, comfy bed and good shower - what more could one want.

As soon as we arrived we knew we were going to have a faboulous stay Recepcion hall is an open courtyard where a nice open fireplace warms you up as soon as you arrive There is also a great bar (with an other fireplace) My boyfriend is a smoker and as in Japan smoking areas are really hard to find he really enjoyed this one as it was in a great space. After our welcome drink (which was amazing!!) we got few information about the hotel and we have been really pleased discovering the Onsen was a free in house guest facility The Onsen was great we put on our super comfy kimono and enjoyed the hot water tub. Staff was great and really helpful, they even helped us book a great traditional dinner in a restaurant. We didn't really want to leave! I highly recommend this hotel in Kyoto

Excellent place to stay in Kyoto”
We stayed 2 nites in Sakura Terrace The Gallery. Very easy to locate , only 5 mins walk from Kyoto Station in the opposite direction from Kyoto Tower. Very clean and comfortable - big room, big bathroom, balcony, 3-seater sofa in-room, complimentary welcome drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices) every evening, sumptuous breakfast comprising wide range of Japanese and western items, freshly grounded coffee (4 selections), fragrant tea selections, onsen (but not natural spring water), complimentary self-laundrette, gym and lounge. Very helpful and cheerful staff.

I don't usually give reviews, but this hotel is fantastic and the staff is amazing. If you only speak English don't worry because the staff can speak English quite well and very friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The best part The best part was the location. It's right in front of Kyoto train station and very convenient. If you're planning a trip to Kyoto I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, great amenities”
Almost lucked out on this one. Originally booked a different Sakura Terrace property but saw this one was more of an "art" hotel so it piqued my interest. Turns out it was great! Only two blocks from Kyoto Station, super clean and cozy rooms, free laundry, hot springs for guests, plenty of outdoor patio space to relax (though it was cold and rainy when I was there). Would definitely stay again.

Loved the location of the hotel as it was only a few mins walk from Kyoto station. We love the ambience and cleanliness of the hotel. We start off our day with free coffee and tea from the hotel and we end out day with their free welcome drink. The free usage of the onsen is also a bonus after all the walking we did. Would definetely stay here again ❤

Absolutely amazing place”
Hotel is located in few minutes from main station and for me it was the most important point. But it turned out the hotel is amazing by itself: it's clean and staff is perfectly friendly. They have welcome drink each night for their guests, public bath and breakfast that was absolutely perfect. Definitely I have found my perfect hotel in this city.

Modern hotel - great location ”
Hotel is a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station and really convenient with a 7eleven next door. Loved the open plan lobby! It was such a change to the norm and worked well. Rooms were nice, clean and large for Japan. Our room also had a balcony. Hotel has some great amenities including public baths for guests. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a short walk away from Kyoto airport. Amenities, staff and perks were awesome. They had free washer and dryer you can do it yourself, free cocktail drink per day per stay at the time we went, the rooms were big and clean. The hotel was nicely presented. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for convenience and clean hotel.

Very near to the Kyoto station , on foot around 5 minutes , good facilities like free public bath , salt sauna , free welcome drinks, free laundry, super nice and delicious breakfast. Great value for money/location!”
My husband and I loved this hotel! Super close to Kyoto station, and looks really stylish! You get a free drink every day, and there's free coffee and tea as well. Wonderful onsen/sento as well for both genders. Our room didn't have any pyjamas/room wear but we saw other guests wearing them, so maybe you have to ask for them? Didn't get the breakfast but it looked nice. The dinner was great value for money too!
