Extremely comfortable and easy access”

Note: This hotel is in the TRANSIT area! Also, there are 2 Sama Sama Express in the area. One is at KLIA (for Malaysia Airlines) and one is at KLIA 2 (Air Asia). These airports are not connected. I had a 14 hours overnight transit in KLIA and hence decided to stay at Sama Sama Express KLIA (Airside Transit Hotel). I'm so glad that I did that. It was a really comfortable stay. From the hotel room's window, I could see the airport apron where the planes are parked. Even though we were so close, we couldn't hear the planes as the room was sound-proofed. Check-in/out was easy and WIFI was reliable. Bed was comfortable. What more could I ask for? On top of that, the service staff at the hotel were very responsive, even prior to my trip.

Worth It”

The room I was given was well presented, spacious and with good amenities for a 6 hour stay. I had an nice view of the tarmac and could see the planes almost upfront when curtains were drawn open. The curtains when closed were effective to block out the light and enough for me to sleep, rest and revive. There were a few English channels to view on the TV - though they should have had more. Tea and Coffee provided. I believe it truly is value for money if you are looking to rest while in transit in a clean, comfortable place. Getting to Sama Sama Express at C5 can be a bit confusing as signage isn't clear. I was told I had to go through immigration by someone, fortunately I double checked as there is another Sama Sama Hotel outside. Sama Sama Express is the only Transit Hotel within KLIA without needing to clear immigration. This can be a tad frustrating when you get confused, or given wrong instruction. Apart from that initial difficulty everything else was fine. Enjoy!

Clean room, great location inside the airport, but minimum signs”

For an inside-airport hotel, Sama-sama Express is very good in terms of location (close to gates C1, 3, and 5). The food is various and abundant. The room, though small, is equipped with everything you need, such as TV, coffee, tea, and bathroom amenities. The receptionists are kind. However, if you arrive at the Departure gate of KLIA 1, you will find very minimum signs of this hotel. So, the hotel is located at the very corner of gates C1, 3, and 5. To reach there, you need to check in your flight first. Then pass by the immigration checkpoints. Then take the aerotrain (free) to the other building of the airport, that is, where Gate C is all located. Then follow the signs to Gate C1, C3, and C5.

Comfortable & Convenient”

Sama Sama Express hotel is conveniently located within the Airport Terminal complex, which means you do not need to pass through immigration if you are between connecting flights. My wife and I had an 8 hour stop-over at Kuala Lumpur, and it was wonderful to be able to jump into bed within 30 minutes of disembarking our first flight. The hotel itself if of a similar standard to your typical Holiday Inn Express ie clean; practical; nice beds and bathroom etc. The hotel charges an hourly rate (very reasonable), with a 6 hour minimum. Would certainly stay here again when travelling through KL airport.

Good value if conditions are met”

1) This is a transit hotel in at KLIA near gate C5 (departure)- you must get pass immigration to access it. 2) There are 3 Sama Sama hotels in KLIA - do not head the any of the others which are outside pass the security gate. When asking for directions, a well-meaning guide led us outside. 3) Despite the time stated in Agoda's booking confirmation document, your stay starts the time upon your check-in for the duration you booked the room for (e.g. 6h, 9h or 12h). So plan accordingly. Overall, the room was clean and staff courteous. Just a shower, bed and TV, so do not expect the whole nine yards.

Great option for overnight sleep at KLIA airport”

The room was large, clean and quiet. This is a great option if you have an early morning flight. However, as there are 3 Sama-Sama hotels at KL airport so you need to ensure you are at the right one. The hotels need to be more specific about where they are located and the procedures to get there. Eg if you are travelling international with Malaysia Air you need Sama-Sama Express at KLIA Satellite terminal and you need to check in and go through security and passport control before you can reach the hotel.

Ticks a the boxes”

Sama sama is the perfect option for transit accommodation. Its location on the airside of immigration and customs means easy access to follow-on travel portals. The rooms are very comfortable and even though they are located adjacent the tarmac are completely silent. Breakfast facilities are good and staff are very friendly and helpful. I've already recommended Sama Sama Express to all my traveling friends.

Good for long transit”

I had a long transit (24 hours) between my flights and Sama-Sama Express was an ideal place for rest and recharge especially after a long flight and considering the current pandemic. The food was brilliant (especially the Nasi Lemak). The price is quite expensive considering it is based on hours stay (6/9/12 hours) and the facilities aren't quite matched up with the price (It feels like a classic old hotel for me). However, considering the location of this hotel (in KLIA Satellite building) and my overall experience during my transit, I would say it is actually worth the money, especially for the long transit and I would like to sincerely thank every staff in KLIA for making my long transit so pleasant!

Easy, hassle free, comfortable”

We had an 11 hour layover in KLIA, Sama Sama was the perfect place to stay. We have stayed in one other transit hotel in KLIA2 before and Sama Sama far exceeded our expectations. Check in was extremely easy, the room was clean, the shower was incredible and the breakfast buffet in the morning was just what we needed. Definitely recommend!

Perfect for Layover”

With an 8 hour layover before a late night flight home, I didn't want to trek into Kuala Lumpur as I've been there several times already. While not particularly cheap, the Sama Sama Express offered an attractive alternative to wandering around the airport, sitting in uncomfortable seats and trying to kill time. The room was a good size and comfortable. It was also quiet, despite the large passenger jets taxying back close to the windows. With TV, wifi, aircon, large bed and shower, it was a relaxing way to spend the time waiting for my next flight. I didn't use the restaurant instead I went into the shopping/eating area of the airport to buy gifts and snacks. I'll certainly use the Sama Sama next time I'm passing through KLIA.

Pleasantly surprised with room space and comfort”

This is a TRANSIT hotel is located inside the KLIA terminal building which means you have to check-in your luggages first before you can go as you need to pass immigration and custom. If you are arriving or departing via KLIA then ONLY stay here. If you are flying in and out with AIRASIA, please DO NOT book and instead stay at Tune Hotel as it is an entire different airport which is LCCT. Be warned that some of you might be mistaken with another similar hotel SAMA- SAMA HOTEL ( formerly Pan Pacific)which is located outside next to the KLIA Terminal. If you happen to be there, some front office staff there will try to SABOTAGE by asking you to cancel the booking with agoda as it is a wrong hotel and you can go in to the terminal prior to the flight and they will help you book another hotel elsewhere. These people are crooks! Don't believe them. You could still go the flight check-in counters area even though is past midnight as they are still counters open during the midnight or else there are luggage storage area. We learned all these and now sharing it. SAMA-SAMA TRANSIT hotel is located at Satelite Building which is another building after passing immigration and taking the airport monorail. It is near boarding gate C5. The room is really spacious, good for 2 adults with fairly large luggages. Very clean, comfortable , free wife and best is the bathroom is spacious and super clean. Will stay again for sure when the needs arise. There are many cafés inside the terminals.

excellent for afew hours stopover”

excellent. the place is neat and clean and has all the things necessary for a stop over stay.I did not eat at the restaurant and hence cannot comment on the food or the service. Howver I noticed that the restaurant appeared to be neat and clean. One suggestion to make is there is confusion wih Sama Sama Express and the Sama Sama hotel situated outside the airport. Atleast 2 passengers standing in the queue had booking for the hotel outside the airort.Perhaps a change of name for the airport hotel?

ROOM SERVICE MEALS CAME UNCOVERED”

We had to check-in to Sama Sama Transit Hotel as there were no short transit connecting flights for my trip Pen-Kul-Mel. As it was during LockDown period, everything was Closed in KLIA except for a couple of takeaway restaurants to buy the takeaway meals. Rooms were clean and convenient as this hotel is Inside the KLIA Departure area in C zone. We ordered Room Service Meals and I was disappointed that the MEALS came to our Door Exposed as they were NOT Covered during these pandemic times. It is normal for other hotels when Room Service Meals are Ordered, the Meals usually come to the Room Covered with a Cover on. However the 2 Meals Nasi Goreng & Pasta arrived Uncovered. I hope the hotel would look into this matter and ensure that ALL Meals sent to Guests Rooms are Covered with a Cover or Glad Wrap so that it is not contaminated while its been delivered to Guests rooms. Thank you.

convenient hotel for those in transit”

Be careful that you don't confuse this with the other Sama Sama Hotel in the same complex which is outside immigration and customs. This Airside Transit Sama Sama is within the airport and can only be accessed after immigration.

Very convenient but a learning curve”

You must have your boarding pass. If not, get it sent to your phone. We were not successful using the kiosk but that might not be typical. The counter was not open at the time. You go thru immigration and security first. The Sama SAma Express was right near our ANA gate so we rolled out of bed and showed up at boarding time. So much easier than coming in 2 or 3 hours before our international flight at 7:10 AM. First try we went to the hotel: it is Not the Express facility.

Complain to Agoda”

I want to complain to Agoda . When I reserved the hotel , I never expect that this hotel is in the airport, and can't go into this hotel without check-in at the airline's company's counter. I realized it when I went to the reception of other Sama Sama hotel outside of airport. Sama Sama hotel never accept my refund , and I just wasted my money , and had to reserve another room at the other hotel. I think Agoda should emphasize more that we can't reach to the hotel without check in at the airport.

Best hotel for transit stopover at KL airport”

I would definitely recommend the Sama Sama Express to others. It's very conveniently located in the hotel terminal, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and clean. It's very exciting for the children to see the airplanes right outside the window too!

An extremely welcome break after much travelling. ”

An eight-hour stopover at KLIA would have been a real killer after internal flights in France and the long haul from Paris. Sama Sama was a life-saver -- being able to stretch out, shower, make a cuppa. It was well worth the $A80 or so. Check-in was fast, room was generous.

The Perfect Pitstop”

Sama Sama Express is different from most hotels because it fills a need when waiting for the next flight. The showers are hot, the beds are clean, and the room is quiet. The lounge provided all the essentials for a quick bite, and the hotel was easy to find. This is a great stop when you travel through KL on the way to another destination.

This is the one that inside the airport”

This is the hotel that inside the KL airport, before we've been there read lots of information where is the hotel located and you cannot bring your checked baggage to your hotel. All the instruction we are follow and it was very easy to find and very convenience. You just can find the at near Gate C5, many people will sleep at the airport, but we have 6-8 hours which we want to sleep well and Sama Sama Express can give you a comfortable sleeping. Also, the hotel was very clean and all the employee were nice, they help to check-in fast and give a front room to us for ease check-out. The room was not very small but it was comfortable. We have 6 hours stayed and went out had some food before we transit another flight. I will recommend it if you have 1 over night at airport.
