Absolutely outstanding in every way! ”

Loved this place! Cannot fault it in any way. If I could give 100 stars I would! The staff a so friendly, treat you like a vip, always there to help you. The location is perfect, having your own private beach is a touch. We stayed in the sea view Bungalows and they are amazing. We actually stayed here during Storm Pabuk and considering we were right on the beach, it hardly affected us and the staff came checking we were OK and reassured us not to worry. They sell beautiful food at cheap prices in the beachfront restaurant and their 24 hour restaurant/bar over the road. The surrounding area is not too busy and has a 7/11 five minutes up the road and there's a few restaurants very close, Including Bangrak Cafe which does a better full English than we have back in England! I will certainly be coming back here on my next thailand trip.

Brilliant resort”

Great resort, Good friendly staff, Great pools both side of the road, love the fan rooms on the road side and great pool there as well, rooms are clean and new looking, don't listen to the snobby reviews, this is a great resort for a great price in a lively area about 10 minutes bike ride from chaweng, only downside is on flight path to airport but didn't bother me and has nothing to do with the hotel, all in all , you can't go wrong with this place, brilliant.

Great place, value and staff! ”

I have been in Thailand for 11 years and on Samui for nearly 2 years. Samui Mermaid is right on the beach and has a quaint swimming pool. Perfect place for relaxing. The beach is not the greatest (most beautiful) beach on Samui, but excellent value for the price. The on-site restaurants have a wide array of food and beverage choices including exceptional traditional Thai food. You can easily walk to other restaurants, 7/11 and other establishments near the hotel. There's plenty of 'night-life' also....not the same as Chaweng or Lamai...but you do not have to travel far to find it. If you have transportation (a motorcycle), you can get to any part of the island easily. If not, public transportation to other island locations is not difficult. Only 5 minutes to the airport. VERY fast and easy check-in. Every staff member was friendly. Samui is beautiful. Samui Mermaid is a wonderful resort, but the staff at the resort was the most impressive. Thanks for a terrific stay.

Budget Friendly Close to the Beach”

This is an ideal location for budget travellers as there are garden cottages on the other side of the road. Very basic with fan and mini fridge. No air conditioning. If you want higher end there are lots of other options at this same hotel available right on the beach (more expensive, of course). Swimming pools looked inviting, though I didn’t use them. Walking distance to Big Buddha. Affordable street food available close by as well as higher end restaurants.

Room very nice big and clean, have 3 pools for enjoy the day, location its good close to big budha and airport. The best was the staff, special mention to Ratchanok and Rezon who helped me a lot with everything i needed being so kind and professional. With them you dont to think just enjoy holidays :)

The Venue is great, it's just too noisy”

Good place, comfortable, nice swimming pool. People very friendly. It's super close to the airport and you can hear as if you were in the middle of it all the airplane traffic. It just too loud and too often.

Value for money”

For the money paid for the rooms, this hotel is as good, if not better than expected. There is a good selection of rooms ranging from the cheaper fan-only rooms to ones with air con. I initially booked a room with a fan-only but then decided the air con would be better. The staff accommodated this upgrade quickly and without any hassle. There is a pool in the centre which was clean and nice to cool down from the heat in. Overall I enjoyed my stay and have saved it in the app as I'm likely to book it again.

Lovely rooms but VERY noisy ”

Pros - lovely room with fridge tv toiletries set in lovely gardens! Lovely pools and small but nice beach on site! Near Buddha and a couple of miles from fisherman’s village and very near ferry terminal to Ko Phangan! Cons - is so VERY VERY noisy with airplanes landing from 6am until dark - you feel like you need to duck! Busy main road also!

This hotel is situated in a quiet area but just a short ride from fishermen’s village, the hotel rooms and grounds are clean and beautiful, if I ever came again I’d definitely stay here again and we only stayed one night as we were heading to Koh Phangan the next morning but I wished I’d stayed here instead of chaweng. Lovely place to relax around the pool and rooms are right next to the two pool areas so we didn’t need to lock our rooms as we were just outside. Other people mentioned the sound of planes landing etc but it didn’t bother us at all.

Quiet, peaceful hotel by the beach”

It was just one night stay, but we enjoyed everything...the pool, the view, no traffic, quiet and peacefull bungallows.

pro & con: right next to the airport”

This is a lovely resort. My girlfriend and I are budget backpackers, but needed a place for the night before an early flight the next day. Got a great last min deal on Agoda. Read in reviews that plane traffic is loud but figured that would be the case considering its so close to the airport. But damn, it sounds like a space shuttle might be landing on the roof of your bungalow! Had a nice time relaxing in the pool, but I instinctively had to duck when a plane flew overhead because it felt that close. Didn't have any issue sleeping though - either my earplugs blocked out the noise or plane traffic subsided overnight. Otherwise this place is lovely and the staff are amazingly helpful! Would definitely stay again with discount Agoda price.
