Humble hotel near the center of everything”

It was the first time for my dad and I to visit Japan and staying at Sarasa Hotel made the trip so convenient and memorable. We got a bit lost trying to find the hotel after getting off at the Nankai-Namba Station, but the Japanese folk were very friendly and helpful. The room was just the right size and had all the basics, plus a wonderful heated toilet! The beds were great too, complete with memory foam mattress toppers and fluffy duvets. The TV, though, didn't have any English channels. Breakfast was simple but very delicious. They rotate the same menu, but everything I tried was good, especially the scrambled eggs! As for the location, we were literally steps away from all the places we wanted to see–Shinsaibashi, Dotonburi, Kuromon Market, and Namba City. The train stations were very close by as well. It was so easy to head out of town (Kyoto and Nara) and to other attractions within the city (Osaka Zoo, Osaka Aquarium, and Abeno Harukas). There were also several convenience stores around the area that made grabbing late-night snacks very accessible. I already want to head back to Japan and Sarasa Hotel will definitely be my first hotel option.

Clean room with friendly staff”

The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Smartphone, pyjamas and slippers are provided. The coin-operated washing machines, dryers and vending machine for drinks are on level 2. The hotel is near Kuromon market and between Namba and Nipponbashi stations. There are 2 Lawsons convenient stores and many food outlets around the hotel. If arriving by the Nankai train, exit from level 1, next to Takashimaya and diagonally facing the Tower Records / Loft / Muji building, turn right and walk till you see Namba City. Cross the roads and walk along the row of buildings with the 5-storey Diaso. Keep walking until you see 2 Lawsons - 1 on the left and 1 diagonally on the left. Turn right into Sakai Suji and Sarasa hotel is next to Business Hotel Kikue.

A+++++ hotel, highly recommended”

I stayed 5 nights at the hotel. The hotel is newly refurbished. It is in very good condition. Room size is small compared to other country although it os considered a large compared to other business hotels I used to stay in Japan. Location is excellent especially when you travel from/to Kansai airport. There is a direct train from the airport to Nankai Namba station (45mins). At the Nankai Namba, take the east exit (quite difficult to find the East exit, down escalator and turn around toward shopping mall). At the East exit, turn right and walk along the street until you see the traffic light and tuen left again. Walk along the street until you see the second traffic light and then turn right. The hotel is about 100 away. It takes approx. 5 mins walk from the train station. Also, the hotel is easy to walk to Dontonbori as well. Breakfast is not the best but it's more than our expectation (to what we pay for the room price). There are rice, Japanese curry, miso soup, fish, omelette, bread and so on. Staff are very kind and helpful. Overall, I think this is a highly recommended hotel to everyone. I would definitely back here again when I visit Osaka next time.

Great location and clean hotel”

This hotel was great and comfortable to stay at, and well within my budget. I was looking for hotels that are smoke-free because I'm quite sensitive to cigarette smell, and this hotel is smoke-free for all rooms (with a smoking room at 2F), which to me is excellent. The room looked and smelled clean. The bed was quite comfortable. It was small as expected but spacious enough for me and my one giant luggage. I requested for higher floor and a room that's further away from the elevator, and the hotel was able to accommodate my request. They have luggage storage service, but it's only for the day when you check out. You can also mail your luggage there ahead of time and they will bring it to your room when it arrives. Location wise it is close to shopping area for tourists. It's at the same block as Den Den Town while Kuromon Market is only a few minutes walk away. Dotonbori is about 10-15 minutes walk, with most train stations 5-10 minutes walk away. It's nice to be able to do some shopping, drop them off at the hotel, and then do more shopping without killing your back. There are many eateries within 5-10 minutes walk (and some are smoke-free), and lots of convenient stores close by. There is also a post office (opens weekdays only) that's 5 minutes walk away if you need to mail things home, and the workers there do speak limited English. It's convenient to get to KIX via the Nankai Namba Station from this hotel (about 5-10 minutes walk, no transfer, 920 yen, 45 minutes). One little downside is it doesn't have a public desktop computer for people to use. I suppose since it's technically a business hotel, it probably expected people who needed to use a computer to have brought their own laptop. Overall, I'm glad I chose to stay at here for my first Osaka trip. If I were to travel to that area of Osaka again, I'd stay here again. If you don't need any fancy extra services and are traveling on a budget, this hotel might be just right for you ^_^

Nice location and staff”

Would highly recommend to solo travelers/backpackers, the hotel is close to the Namba metro station and Kuromon market. Staff is polite and speaks good English. I will choose Sarasa Hotel Namba if coming to Osaka next time.

Excellent location and single room”

I totally enjoyed my stay at Sarasa Hotel Namba. It meets most of my requirements i.e. convenient location with good railway and subway connections to Kyoto and Umeda, walking distance to 24/7 Don Quijote, Shinsaibashi shopping covered street, random Namba walking streets etc.

Good location”

Sarasa Hotel Namba is strategically located near the Namba and Nipponbashi train stations. It is also surrounded by shopping malls and convenience stores. The room is small although the hotel is relatively new. Helpful staff.

Comfortable room ”

Pros : accessible to kuromon market, namba City and Nankai Train 🚆 Station, post office. Friendly staff , comfortable room at reasonable rate. Basic toiletries n slippers with one off removable insole. Single room is considered spacious for Japan standard. Cons : really cramp bathtube. Long walk to metro subway, hanshin line thru namba city. Overall happy with my three nights stay and may consider Sarasa in next visit if the rate remain unchanged.

Great location and value for money”

The hotel building is quite new, clean and hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Around 6-8 minutes walking distance from Namba station, 10mins from Dotonbori where you can find various food choices and Namba shopping street nearby. I will recommend this and will definitely book this hotel again when in Osaka.

Value for money”

My mother and I enjoyed our stay at Sarasa Hotel Nipponbashi. The location is great near Dotonbori, Denden town and few minutes walk to subway station. The breakfast was just so-so, because it's almost same menu every day. Our room was spacious.

Great location for Osaka eating/ shopping trip”

Very convenient location for our shopping & eating trip in Osaka. Kuromon market is down the street from the hotel, ebisubashi suji, takashimaya, OIOI & nankai namba station are within an easy 10min walk. Dotonbori is 15mins walk away. Room is larger than expected for Japan, feels new-ish with attentive staff at reception. The only minor thing I encountered was room service staff having a bit of language problem when I requested for an iron & I had to get it myself from reception eventually. Overall it was a great stay!

Great stay in this hotel”

The hotel was easily located and around 5-10min walk from Nipponbashi station, slightly more than 10min walk from Namba subway station. Walkable distance to various attractions: - Dontonbori, Shinsaibashi - 10-15min walk - Kuromon Market, - 5min walk - Namba Walk - 5-10min walk - Nipponbashi Den Den Town - 5min walk - Shinseikai - 10-15 min walk Hotel was generally clean and tidy. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. They were pretty prompt in replying to my enquiries. Check In time was 3pm. As my flight arrived early, I was able to deposit my luggage in the hotel. Would definitely go back to the same hotel for my next visit!

Fabulous hotel!”

Great location, it is just 5min walk from Namba station. Very new hotel, therefore everything are really clean and new. Love this hotel, as they have spacious room and include breakfast even though limited choices but tasty. Definitely coming back to stay if I go to Osaka again!

Excellent location, clean, modern, perfect mid-budget place”

Excellent location, walking distance to the airport express, malls, namba shopping street, dotonburi, subway stations, food, electronics area. It's Japan, so room sizes are generally tighter dimensions, and this place is no exception. Single size bed, tiny bathroom, tiny room(enough for the bed, bathroom, your suitcase on the floor. But this is to be expected in Japan, unless you go with more luxurious places. Perfect and would def stay here again when in Osaka.

Exceptional”

This was such a pleasant stay. The location is great! A short walk from Namba station and walking distance to Dotonburi. The room is a bit small but the staff is so friendly and the location is great it makes up for it. I didnt know how to work the lights to the room and without hesitation the Front Desk Agent asked if it were okay to come up and assist. I was able to figure it out but he came up immediately to help and offered assistance with anything i need. I also love, love the body wash! It's the smell you smell throughout the hotel; their signature perhaps. I recommend this hotel for a cheap, convenient stay.

Simple Hotel at Affordable Price”

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, the room was clean and bed comfy. Pyjamas provided was soft and comfortable too, however sound insulation was quite bad and we could hear commotions from the rooms beside us and above us. Location wise, a 7-10mins walk to Namba and 10-12 mins walk to Nipponbashi. Kuromon market was only a 5-7mins walk and there are many nice food stalls operating from 9am onwards. There are also a few convenient marts and food eateries nearby, including a tax-free drugstore that opens till late as well. Staffs are friendly and able to converse in English, the male staff that assisted with our check-in was very patient in helping us with printing out our itinerary tickets and also to advise us on the various methods to the airport. Overall a nice stay and will come back again.

This hotel, SARASA NIPPONBASHI, is very good. Recommended if u plan to stay near Namba station.

Convenience convenience ”

Don't expect too much from Japan city hotel. It's pretty small everywhere. For 3 pax, it's pretty good size for the price and near Namba station. It's near to Nankai Airport direct train station and exit. A long walk to other line but still doable. The hotel is at Den Den Town Nipponbashi, where all the anime you can get! Also near to Kuromon Ichiba Market, all you can eat kobe beef, sashimi and sushi.

economist hotel yet quite good ”

you get what you pay, this hotel is not so pricey but not so cheap too. location wise, not so far from JR Namba St but not so close neither, if you walk with elders like me, it takes 10mins to/from JR Namba St. walking distance to dotonburi, daiso, don-q, takashimaya (there is mart section with lot of food counters), uniqlo ect. the hotel itself, room is big enough for 2 persons with 2 big luggages and extra bags.
