Worth to stay!”
The staff in ShaSa are professional! We are two girls visiting Koh Samui and stayed in ShaSa for 3 nights. We rent a scooter from ShaSa and rode about 40 minutes to Chawen Street. Unfortunately when we were about arriving our final destination, the tire of the scooter was broke. We couldn't do anything but park the scooter aside, and took tuktuk to our destination. I called Shasa about the problem and they are amazingly professional and friendly. They suggest us to took their free shuttle bus after we finished our activity in Chawen street, and they will send the agent from scooter company to get the broken one back. we really appreciate the kind and friendly staff from ShaSa, i definitely will visit this resort again! Oh, plus, we spend 6 days in Koh Samui and another 5 days in Bangkok, but apparently, the best Mango and sticky rice was actually in ShaSa! For visitors who came to stay at ShaSa, you really have to taste ShaSa's Mango with sticky rice for sure, cuz me and my partners have tried so many of this sweet dish in Samui and in BKK, we both agreed ShaSa's is the best one!

Review of Shasa Hotel”
We had a great time at this hotel. It definitely warrants repeated visits to Koh Samui! Location wise, it was perfect for us- we required accomodation away from the very touristic Chaweng and Lamai, but it was easy to access these spots as the hotel has shuttle services twice daily. We were also very much impressed when we forgot our camera bag in the hotel shuttle bus on the way to airport and the staff went out of their way to make sure that we got it back. Such honesty and diligence is a bit foreign to us and we had not expected to get it back.(we orginate from South-Africa..) We really enjoyed our stay and if we go back to Koh Samui, the Shasa Hotel will definitely be our first choice in terms of accomodation.

Great family stay”
Booked 4 nights in a 2 bedroom room apartment. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door - the apartment was very spacious, with a huge terrace overlooking the pools over to the sea. An idyllic holiday view! We had a very nice time there, ferrying between the Shasa and another resort where our friends were staying. The staff was very helpful to arrange transport and babysitting. The restaurant had very good Thai dishes - we didn't try the other choices. Only downside is the location - on a rocky outcrop of southern Koh Samui so no way of getting to Hua Thanon beach (the nearest long stretch of sand with a few restaurants and other resorts) without taking the hotel car. Still, highly recommended if you are looking for a secluded holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of Lamai beach.

Relax and refresh, then go explore”
Super relaxing, no rush resort. Staff are always around when you need them and very helpful (always smiling). Breakfast is AMAZING, Huge international variety. Location is a bit out of the way from shopping centres and tourist spots. We hired a car through the resort which was slightly pricey but easy,no fuss and reliable. The building exterior and furniture is aged, HOWEVER this is how majority of the island is. A little behind, a little slow BUT just an most wonderful place to be. If you want UBER cool, uber sparkles then go to VEGAS......SAMUI is unpretentious, REAL and amazing. We hope to return to Shasa Residence because of the staff. They love their jobs and the resort.

Quiet, spacious, luxurious”
Pros - attractive and quiet area (much more pleasant than some of the busier resort areas in our opinion), great staff, good breakfast, huge room (2 bed seaview), room very well equipped, very good value (special offer in July 2020), can use the facilities at sister hotel Malibu on Chaweng beach (ask ShaSa reception for a token). Note: Own transport essential - no shops or restaurants nearby. We loved staying here with our own car but would have felt isolated if we didn't have a vehicle. Also having a car made it easy to visit beaches with better sand. Cons - beach less pretty or good for swimming than some others. However overall we were definitely glad we stayed here as we felt the many positives outweighed this issue.

Friends Wedding”
I stayed at Shasa because it was close to where a friend was getting married. I am so glad I chose to stay there. I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived to my room. Very spacious and fully equipped kitchen, which I did not take advantage of but nice to have. Very comfortable bed with great pillows, kinda a pet peeve of mine. The staff was very helpful and friendly. How about this, a complimentary mini bar...unheard of!! Next trip to Samui I will difinetly be staying here.

Very beautiful hotel, but far from chaweng beach.”
We stayed at ShaSa on our 3rd and 4th nights in Samui, our room type was 1 bedroom deluxe seaview suite. The view from the room was awesome, and the staffs of ShaSa were very friendly. It's about 30 mins driving from ShaSa to Chaweng beach, but Since most people tend to rent a car or bike while staying in Samui, so I think the distance shouldn't be a big problem. If you want to avoid all the mess from Chaweng beach, ShaSa will be a great choice.

Fantastic Apartments in a Quiet Area of Koh Samui”
ShaSa was a great place to stay for us as we were towards the end of a six week Asian holiday and all needed our space. The apartments were as per the photos and of a high standard with the housekeeping every day and a full outside laundry making it a relaxing stay. The buffet breakfast was great, a little too good with the mix of western and asian as I am sure we all put on weight. It was far to hot to work out when we were there but I took advantage of one of the stretch and meditation classes that were good. We didn't realise there was a kids club but the kids at 10 & 11 found it and utilised it. The restaurant was expensive as well as the drinks but you have a full kitchen with fridge and freezer options and the views you have from your outdoor deck were a great place for a sun downer. In saying that we ate the restaurant a few times and the food was okay. If you want the buzz of Chaweng, just hire some scooters for your time there and you can buzz in and out but you will feel that you are missing out on the stunning ShaSa location, so I think, sit back and really relax and stay in town on one side of your trip. One day we headed out to Koh Nang Yuang and they packed us all a fantastic lunch bag and towel, the service was friendly and outstanding.

Quiet and peaceful stay..”
A bunch of our friends stayed at the Shasa for 4 nights. Wonderful time! The rooms are respectable designed, stunning views, quiet atmosphere, large and spacious, all the amenities you need including washer dryer, good quality china, pots and pans etc... So its a great place for long getaways.. What we did and suggest you do for quality time with your loved ones or friends, is take the free hotel shuttle to LOTUS supermarket at Lamai Beach, buy a bunch of food or groceries and wine and hop on a taxi back to the hotel for 600 baht. If you like swimming in the ocean then this place isnt for you as the beach has lots of rocks and is not at all pleasant to swim in.. that is probably the only downside to this wonderful hotel..

Shasa - Excellent hotel”
Shasa Hotel is a excellent hotel, it is the best hotel I have stayed so far. The staff are very friendly. The hotel room is huge. It is not just a room, it is a apartment with living room, dinner room, kitchen, big toilet. The facility inside the apartment equip everything, oven, refrigerator, washing machine, cooking ware,.... It is good for couple or 5-6 people family to stay in the apartment. The only drawback is far away from city center (15 min drive to Lamai Beach). If you have your own transportation or want to hide away for a few days, it is perfect.

Great Hotel, Nice Stay, Fantastic Service”
We had stay 3 nights at the ShaSa. It was like what I expected. Peaceful, far from the crowded, Fantastic view, Great staff performance, swimming pools. We just wanted to stay and do all activities in the hotel. Such a perfect hotel for family. Breakfast was great but better to extend more time to 11 or 12. I'll definitely return to ShaSa again.

Relaxing Stay - Underserviced”
We had a very relaxing stay, these are apartments though, its not really a resort. There was no staffed bar at the pool and no poolside service. Also the Kids Club was good but not professionally staffed. You can't leave them and leave the resort, you need to stay close. Activities offered were very poor with non qualified people. eg. The same guy that was running kids club was the yoga instructor. The location is isolated so make sure you have transport otherwise it will be 400 Bhat each way to Lamai Beach which is best for restaurants, massages and shopping. Don't bother with the Zoo, its a very sad place. The food in the restaurant was really great, however the breakfast was a bit poor. We were there on the fringes of the high season so this may be the reason for that and the under staffing. The rooms are clean, large and well maintained, but nothing spectacular. The bath was broken when we arrived and they also tried to charge us 500 Bhat for breaking a glass that probably cost a couple of dollars. It was so flimsy it literally broke in my wife's hand. We did complain and they did not end up charging. I would suggest to them not trying in the future as it left a sour taste in our mouths of an otherwise nice stay. This type of thing should be cost of doing business for a supposed 5* resort. I would recommend ShaSa for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing getaway. Was really good for the kids, there is a small beach that is good for exploring and some good snorkling close in. Their wifi is super fast as well.

Amazing Value for the price”
We really had a great stay in Shasa, housekeeping was perfect, the view, the resort itself, only 2 small things, no direct beach access, few snakes in the gardens...but it was just perfect destinatiion to relax

Excellent Hotel with Great Service”
Despite the hotel being located far from the more developed beaches, I would most certainly want to return to the hotel for a stay on my next trip to Samui. Aside from the apartment-styled room which was well equipped(there are utensils available should you be ambitious enough to whip up your own meal), the service in this hotel was top notch right from check-in till you leave the hotel. The staff would go out of their way to make you feel literally 'at home' in the hotel. The hotel has good facilities available and it is perfect for travelers in search of a quiet getaway; they have wonderful swimming pools which seems like almost a private one. However, the pool bar was a little disappointing as it looked quite dull. It'll be more convenient to rent a car and take a nice drive down to the hotel.

All-round great hotel”
We had a great stay here. The rooms are huge, and fabulous! (great views, clean, spacious, huge bath, comfy bed). The massage at the spa was great too - a simple spa, but recommended back, neck and shoulder massage. There isn't much else by way of local restaurants etc close, but you can take a shuttle or taxi to town and back. Pools are lovely, and quiet enough to have your own relax space. The beach is probably not great for swimming, but nice to explore. We had New Years dinner there which had excellent food, but a lot of kids (as this is quite a family hotel), and fairly expensive (as all New Years dinners are in Samui), with only expensive choice of drinks. All in all, a good choice, if you're happy to be staying remotely on the island.

Perfect place to reset yourself”
Great tasting food and drinks, nice pools, relaxing treatment at SPA, play area for toddlers and top it all - a massive unit to stay.....a perfect mix that makes ShaSa property an ideal one for a revisit. It doesn't have a sandy beach of its own, but you sure can venture out and wade into the waters nearby.

Outstanding Stay”
The manager is outstanding the first time a Manager has written personally to follow up feedback on the hotel. The reception staff so helpful. We stayed at 2 other properties on Samui and this was our favourite. The location and view was very peaceful and balconies outstanding with the day bed. Rooms massive and well decorated. The 3 pools are large and give you the space you need. Another bonus is the free shuttle service to local townships which we used.
