Not much to do in Chaiyaphum itself, that means there are not many comfortable hotels especially for non Thai people. Therefore Siam River Resort is probably the best one. Clean large room (wifi worked as I got a 2nd floor room above reception in the main bldg. Not sure if you stay in other bldgs ). Helpful staff. The bed was hard but it is quite norm in Thailand. Apart from that, I enjoyed a dip at swimming pool. There is 7/11 convenience store 200m from the hotel. Many street food venders along that road, too.

Fantastic hotel. Lovely room. Highly recommend. ”
Came down to breakfast and they're we're no eggs. Had young children so they wanted eggs. The staff went out of there way to make us about 6 freshly cooked eggs every morning. Just a little thing but when the staff are so helpful with matters like this. The rest of the resort was just as good. Highly recommend this resort for family's or couples. Loved the restaurant in the evening with music whilst we ate. Swimming pool was lovely. Room was lovely. I would book this place again when I go back to chaiyaphum. All in all you won't be disappointed. Thank your Siam resort for a lovely 5 days. You made us all very welcome and made our stay a real good one.

Good place to stay in the heart of the city”
I was in Chaiyaphum to visit the family of the wife and sort out some documents for her. The hotel was in the middle of the city, a little far away from the mother in laws ( but that's Isan for you ). Easy to find and travel to. The staff were courteous, friendly and professional. The room was clean, tidy and had an outside balcony to sit and relax. Mini refrigerator, but no room safe. There was a nice swimming pool on site...good for a refreshing dip. The restaurant is a 50 meter walk from the door of the hotel, and is nice to enjoy a cold beer and food outdoors in the evening. The breakfast was ok...eggs...toast...sausage...salad for the foreigners...juice and coffee...really all you need to keep you going until lunch. If you are traveling by car, then there lots of space in front and to the side and rear of the hotel. If you are coming by bus, it's about ten minutes walk from the large roundabout. I'd recommend the hotel for a stay, especially if you are staying in the city, you will need transportation if you are traveling about. Really enjoyable.

The best in chaiyaphum”
Everything OK here nice friendly staff but not many speak English...breakfast is only thai food except toast.lve found a bar called the 1 bar run by English guy called Ben he has the best food your gonna get in chaiyaphum so I suggest look it up.Thai food at the resort is fair to good. Plenty mosquito here too but that's to be expected.

It is okay ”
if you are looking for a place close to the hospital, this is easy walking distance. The other nice thing about this place is the swimming pool. They also have a decent breakfast. Contrary to some of the reviews the breakfast is kept warm. It is not what you would get at a large hotel in Bangkok. Also yes there are some chickens running around. Not that many. However, yes you may want to watch were you step. Next the beds. I should just say box springs. The beds do NOT have a mattress on them. We tried to get them to put a foam mattress on the bed, like they use for extra beds in the room. However, the staff doesn't want to do that for you. Also yes none of the hotels in the Chaiyaphum area seem to have any television that is not in Thai language only. In the end if you have children in your group this is the best place to stay in the town/city center.

I thoroughly recommend”
looking for a last minute, late evening stopover, i was recommended Siam River resort by Agoda. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and tidy even though it was a little dated. The breakfast was sufficient and they had an excellent pool and fitness facility. I have no hesitation in recommending them to future travellers...

lovely clean hotel ”
1 day stay in the hotel. The staff can't speak good English but try their very best to help. Walking distance to 7 eleven and a few local restaurants. We use the hotel free bicycles to tour around the town. Very relaxing. At night 1 min walk to the local night market. We shall come back to this hotel if we visit Chaiyaphum again.

Very nice hotel and grounds”
I really enjoyed my stay at Sism River Resort. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and the surrounding area very peaceful. The resort spa had a real family oriented atmosphere with compitant and friendly staff. Overall a great hotel resort at a reasonable price.

Great choice for a small town hotel in Isaan”
The Siam is a good fit for anyone traveling to Chaiyaphum. It is by no means a Hilton but for the price it is well worth it.

As good as Chaiyaphum has”
While this hotel doesn't really compare to the hotels high tourist areas, it is good enough in relation to price and location. It's location is central in Chaiyaphum. The pool area is very nice and the gym area is basic. Breakfast is more tailored to Thais then foreigners as the majority of it's guest are locals. Overall a nice hotel. I would stay again.

Provincial hotel in large town so don't expect too much by Western standards, but nice enough”
Chaiyaphum is a large town that is not in a touristy area, so the hotel would be 2.5 stars on a Western scale, but is nice enough - large clean rooms and decent value (£40 for a night B&B for a 45 sqm room with balcony with A/C and lots of typical Thai wood décor). Reception staff aren't great - were a bit rude to my Thai girlfriend when she made an enquiry initially - but the other staff were very helpful. Breakfast tends to be cold, no heaters under most of the trays - but you can ask for an omelette or fried egg to be cooked freshly. Nice pool and fitness area, location is close to town centre.

Nice, clean, big rooms”
Big, clean rooms! My room on the 2nd floor of the main building seemed recently remodeled. I cannot comment on the other buildings. I read some slightly negative reviews before booking and totally disagree. This is a Nice Place! By Isaan standards I think Very Nice! and for Chaiyaphum excellent. The Isaan breakfast was very good, but no real western offerings (mediocre instant coffee). I was there during the January festival and it was a quiet respite in the middle of town! Also, good secure Internet. Good Isaan music video channels on TV, but no "Angrit" movies even with subtitles.

I will stay here again!”
Very good rooms. Clean and comfortable. A bit far from everything in Chaiyaphum, but access to the city is easy. I will stay here again.

Good location but to much musquito's in the rooms ”
We were just arrived at the last day of the elephant festival from 12 until 20th. of january, the rooms are old facioned and full of musquito's, we didn't understand why personal of the hotel not sprayed against them before we were coming in. The big advantage was that we stayed just at the festivals place, so we could walk and let the car backwards. Chaiyaphum isn't spectacular to visit normally and we didn't see any elephant because this was only possible at the first day of the festival which we didn'nt know.

Very good”
An old but nicely renovated resort style hotel. Very nice & clean swimming pool. Breakfast is simple but what is disappointed is coffee is the instant one!! It is in thw center of the city but there is about 700-800 meters distance from the main road to the hotel buildings and at night it is a bit dark to walk through a night rental parking lot. You need to have a car definitely to stay at this hotel.

A pleasant, comfortable stay.”
Stayed just one night, breaking a journey back to Udon and taking in a football match. (I'm not sure that the town/area has much to offer otherwise). The resort is in sizeable grounds, in the middle of town and easy to find. There didn't seem to be too many guests about, although there is accommodation in the main building AND subsidiary buildings. A large convention centre there too. A separate building exists as a restaurant/night venue, but breakfast is taken inside in an airconditioned room. There was some good-natured discussion over my booking and what I thought I had requested and paid for. Receptionist "Goong' spoke good English and was very helpful and I was shown two rooms to choose from. Ended up with a nicely furnished, 2-room suite. Staff were helpful in providing a fold-up bed for accompanying niece and repairing a 'wobbly' coffee table. Easy to park car nearby. Nothing special about breakfast, but ok. I note there was a pool, not viewed and lots of concrete animals around to amuse young children. I'd be happy to stay at the resort again.
