Paradise!”

Absolute heaven from beginning to end! We had booked to stay in a second floor, balcony jacuzzi room, but were informed upon arrival that we had been upgraded to a top floor ocean view jacuzzi room. The wonderful staff informed us they always try to upgrade where possible. The room was both rustic and luxurious and every need had been considered- the insect repellent and travel adaptors provided in the room were particularly helpful. The 6pm turn down service was especially thoughtful and staff came round with treats made in the Silavadee bakery. The breakfast that is included most room rates was superb and far exceeded any hotel buffet we had before. A wide range of cooked breakfast dishes could be ordered from the menu. The pool areas were fantastic, one of which has a bar to order drinks, and provided stunning views out to the sea from the infinity pools and private beach was wonderfully quiet, a luxury on Koh Samui! We dined several times at the restaurant The Height, and enjoyed of the most delicious Thai food we had during our stay on Koh Samui and found it priced similarly to other restaurants in nearby Chaweng and Lamai, both of which are a very short taxi ride away.(Silavadee also run a regular free shuttle service) Our only complaint would be that the spa facilities are incredibly expensive. Though the aromatherapy massage we booked was probably the best massage we have ever had, we still found the prices eye-watering even for a spa and especially by thai standards. We also agreed that had the prices been lower, we absolutely would have booked more treatments and likely spent considerably more overall were they value for money! The best part of our stay were absolutely the wonderfully welcoming staff who were not only helpful and informative but went out of their way to make sure our stay was as fantastic as possible. We truly can't wait to return and absolutely plan to as soon as possible. 10/10!

Impeccably clean with lovely landscaping. ”

review of silavadee pool spa resort an excellent upper-end resort outside lamai, a bit more expensive than some but well worth it. much of samui has unfortunately become a wall-to-wall tourist strip, clogged with fast food, retail and massage joints. but silavadee is located well away from this madness, with charming bungalow-style villas overlooking a gorgeous private cove. we stayed in a standard ocean-view room, and didn't feel the least bit deprived, though for a premium you can get your own villa complete with private infinity pool. the rooms were clean, chic and well-designed. big lcd satellite tv, internet via cable (the villas have wi-fi). the beach was a delight, great for swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling or even a bit of rock-climbing. excellent restaurant with a breathtaking ocean view. the staff was among the friendliest we've encountered in thailand, which is saying a lot. highly recommended. rating: excellent

Silavadee made our dream wedding come true!”

I actually have tried to write this a few times but have found it hard to find the words to describe how wonderful Silavadee is as both a resort and a wedding venue. The hotel is beautiful, my husband and I stayed in the poolside villa but also got to see the other rooms as some of our guests stayed in the smaller rooms. All the rooms were immaculate, with the most comfortable beds, bathrooms filled with the most delicious smelling products, and extras like ipod docks and treats left at night. Walking through the resort the staff are so friendly and welcoming. After staying in 17 hotel for our honeymoon I can say that this is my favourite resort in the world. It has breathtaking views, a private beach where waiters bring you iced water and fruit sticks throughout the day, a fantastic restaurant and an amazing breakfast I cant wait to eat again. It is located in a quiet corner of Koh Samui but close enough to get to Chaweng or Lamai within 10 minutes in a car. We hired a jeep, which made it easy to get around the island. The wedding itself would never have been what it was without the amazing Nokie who organised everything so the day ran smoothly and was completely stress free. The guests were picked up by a bus, organised by Nokie from various hotels, and then taken to a cool area overlooking the beach and shared cocktails before they made their way down to the beach, which was set up exactly as we planned. The celebrant, Carter, won the guests over and kept everything running smoothly. While photos were being taken our guests went up to the bar and had more cocktails and finger food before going up to the deck and celebrating the rest of the night with music all night and the most delicious seafood bbq buffet we’ve ever had. Thanks so much to everyone at Silavadee (especially Nokie) for making our wedding day so special.

It was our 15th Wedding Anniversary and it was the best ever we had. The room decoration was lovely and what stood up most for us was the hospitality and humbleness of staff. Especially the staff named Saliya (Aon) was so affectionate, she served us breakfast and lunch with tender love, felt very homely. Enjoyed to the fullest the resort as well as the villa was very cozy with lovely scenic view of sea and greenary is also very well maintained. Cleanliness of whole resort is upto the mark. Bagi service and also the room service was excellent. Would give 10 out of 10 points for everything. Had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend to all to visit this resort once in life. I would definitely wish to go there in future. Thank you to all and everyone at Silavadee Pool & Spa Resort, Koh Samui for making our trip worthy and with wonderful memories which will be treasured lifetime.

extreamly beautiful”

after long 4 years, i took my family for a genuine vacation and my business partners family. after long searching and reading the reviews, selected Silavadee as it has our required pool vial with privacy. We loved Silavadee like anything, its within nature on a steep hillside over looking the see. upon arrival from airport with hotel pick-up, we were greeted with drinks and asked to wait as thermos were not ready. so we and two kid were fooling around and i found that the ocean view or front pool villas are much better for a long deserved holiday. so i went back to reception and found that two villas are going be empty by noon and we upgraded ourselves to adjacent ocean view pool via.. it was awesome. my business partner arrived a day late and i didn't informed him about the upgrades. so he was surprised by the view when he entered the villa. there are steep walks around the villa nd to breakfast, but we enjoyed that and when needed called the cabby. one of the best thing i like is the human resources use, anybody is doing anything and everybody is doing everything as far as the hotel staffa are concerned and they are good at that. we took a day trip with the hotel micro bus, which we found that hot due to some issue with AC. so in the 1st halt, we asked the driver to take us back to hotel and he was very sorry and arranged another good microbus very soon. it was very nice experience in koh-samui, the hotel is a bit of secluded cup-de-sac, but that what we wanted, there were beach close by, but we were mostly within the vial pool and afternoon in the markets.. a new shopping mall (central) was also very good . so i would love to go back as said my 4 year old daughter, "daddy, when can we come back here?" i guess thats said all.

Beautiful hotel great spa lovely service”

I recently stayed at Silavadee while travelling with a friend of mine and it was one of our favourite places of all the resorts we stayed at in Thailand. The staff are extremely attentive and lovely to deal with. The property is stunning. The restaurant is both reasonable and has delicious food - the breakfast buffet, which was included in our room rate was to die for. We also used the spa services pretty much every day we were there. The spa staff were always accommodating and the services themselves were outstanding. I could not stop talking about the services for days. I felt indulged and pampered and truly in paradise. Our room was clean and had lovely amenities. The hotel was extremely helpful in booking us on tours and hiring a private driver to show us around Koh Samui. They were also great in helping me find yoga classes in town and providing me with free car service to and from the class. While only there for three days, we both would happily go back there and stay a lot longer.

quiet, cozy, and relaxing”

we lived in silavadee for 5 nights. this was our first time to travel to samui, and we were so glad that we chose this wonderful resort as our home in samui. first of all, the location is very good. it locates in a quiet place without any disturbing noise. you will definitely enjoy a very peaceful holiday. besides, because of the perfect location, you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset at the same resort. although it is a little far away from the main street of chewang and lamai, but the complimentary shuttle bus service is very convenient. second, the private beach and infinity seaview swimming pool surprised us most. the scenery is breath-taking and incredibly amazing. we spend lots of time in the private beach and beside the pool. then, one thing i have to mention about is the breakfast. the breakfast had plenty of food choice and everything was so delicious. never miss it if you stay here. not only the breakfast, but also the lunch and dinner the restaurant "the height" supplied were all fantastic. the chief must be very brilliant. we had our dinner for 2 times in this restaurant and nothing made us disappointed. there was only one single episode that we were not satisfied with. at the last day of our stay, we checked out and were going to the airport. we booked a transportation which charged baht in advance. however, the car delayed for more than 10 minutes. at that time, we were so worried that we might be late for the flight. i thick it is important to be on time.

Three days in Silavadee”

Silavadee pool spa resort is located in beautiful beach of Koh samui. It is surrounded with beautiful rocks where the design is harmonized with the nature. The service and the staff are excellent. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The food and drinks is ok. The pool is unique don't miss to swim on it.

Breahtaking views”

You need to stay on the top floor to get the best views. The pool is certainly Silavadees draw card and the views of course. The beach is also a gem if you do not stay when the weather is windy. The service is outstanding and the staff very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are beautifully laid out and very clean. Its lovely to come back to absolute peace and quiet from some of the hustle and bustle around Koh Samui. The quality of food is also very good, but very pricey. The restaurant is very expensive. The rooms as lovely as they are I feel are a little over priced and the hotel is probably a strong 4.5 star. Dont use their scooter rental as they charge double the amount. Walk to the end of the road and you can take your pick at half the price. I wouldnt recommend eating in the restaurant all the time as you can go out for a meal for a quarter of the price and its just as good. The extras are great especially the mozzi service every night and the goodnight treats..!!!!

amaging hotel with great staff”

great simply great! right from the beginning till the very end everything was so nice and was delivered with a very sweet smile. i have just come back from my honeymoon in thailand which included a 3 day stay in silavadee( in thai: beautiful rocks) and no doubt it was the best resort i have ever stayed. on our arrival the staff gave us a warm welcome with cool towel and refreshing drink. the bed inside room was decorated with flowers, perfect for a couple in honeymoon so the jacuzzi with rose petals .the room was very spacious with an extending veranda with a small water body. the staff took us for a quick tour of the resort by golf cart and that was fun. silavadee is located on the mountain slop just next to beach and it has a mesmerizing view in front. the breakfast (included in package) has huge variety to select from and is of finest quality. the other great attraction here is infinity pool which is very pretty .the beach is small though and is not very good for swimming but hotel provide snorkeling gears and kayak free of cost so you can just laze around or can have some water fun. the only problem with silavadee is that it is little far from the port but you can easily rent a bike or car to roam around. i and my wife enjoyed our stay very much and i would definitely recommend this hotel for young couples.

A very happy honeymoon in the Silavadee”

We stayed at the Silavadee for the final part of our honeymoon after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and Agoda and were not disappointed it actually exceeded our expectations. The resort and rooms have great character and it has a great location overlooking Lamai. The beach is secluded and private with free snorkelling equipment and a kayak to explore, the pool is great and the service was fantastic at all times. Restaurant served a variety of good food. Free scehduled shuttle to Lamai and Chewang so you can get into the towns from the resort rather than pay for Taxi's. It was perfect for us and as we entered a couple told us we wouldn't be disappointed and we weren't.

Like having your own resort”

this resort has a very "private getaway" feel to it. you feel you have this place all to yourself. the personnel is very friendly, and the facilities are nice. the beach is nice but isn't very good for swimming. however, 10 minutes by scooter from the resort will take you to the best beaches in lamai and 15 minutes to chaweng. some much tries, while staying at silavadee: - their spa much more expensive than in town, but you can't really compare, and it is still cheap compared to eu/us prices - cooking class have a couple of hours of great fun with the staff! we did :) regarding food, we can recommend their massamam curry (best ever!) this is a really nice resort, if you want to really have that "getaway on a remote island" feeling - also perfect for honeymooners

great experiences we had ”

we stayed at Silavadee and traveled as 3 couples group. We arranged a private BBQ at our Villa a week before we arrived in advance, set up and food quality / quantity were very nice, we were all get really full and satisfied. Ocean View Villa was really beautiful, this is a can't be missed Pool Spa Resort in Koh Samui :)

Brilliant Resort for Relaxing and excellent staff ”

We stayed in December in an Ocean View Pool Villa with amazing sea views, the villa was very clean, spacious, with nice little touches such as beach bag and towels left in your villa and fresh fruit every day, bed very comfortable. Every night we received a night time sweet from the onsite bakery. Silavadee is a very well organised resort, the staff are very friendly and helpful with any of our requests, the food is excellent maybe a bit pricey although we had breakfast included in our package with an abundance of options to suit all tastes and amazing fresh fruit. The spa is wonderful and relaxing and the therapists very knowledgeable, I felt completely relaxed after my massage. Overall I will definitely stay at Silavadee again it really is a five star resort in my opinion and that is largely due to the diligent and friendly staff who have a very good level of english and the cleanliness of the resort, hardly saw any flies or mosquitos hanging about. Cant wait to go back!

1 of the Best Hotels I've Stayed ”

Silavadee is 1 of the best hotels I have stayed in. I was thoroughly pampered from beginning to the end. The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable and the resort is nicely landscapped with beautiful greenery. The Height (resort's restaurant) gives one a breath-taking ocean view as one dines on top-notch food, preferably alfresco if weather permits. The most noteworthy mention is the very friendly staff who will drop everything just to give you a sincere smile. The service is so attentive that before one realized one's want/ need, it has already been provided by the staff, eg refreshment and towel when I was picked up by the resort at the airport, eg the resort provides FREE transport to the town centres. The only thing which frustrates me is the inability to control the water temperature in the showers (either too hot or cold). Other than that, I really have no complaints at all. In all, this resort is excellent for good accommodation at a reasonable price. I strongly recommend Silavadee with no hesitation.

Lovely hotel with great service but away from town”

The staff speaks English well and is very helpful if you are the type of traveler who wants organized travel activities. I did not try any of the spa services as they are expensive by Thai standards, but I am sure they would have put the pain-staking care into them that they do with everything else. My husband celebrated a birthday while at the hotel and they provided a tasty chocolate cake and provided a very romantic setting in our room for us with flower petals. There were a couple of issues that had nothing to do with the hotel service or its physical beauty. First is that the heavy rain and monsoon season seem to have damaged the beach so there was very little of it. This was true not only at Silavadee but in all of the 4 or 5 beaches we tried to go to in Samui. Hopefully that will get cleaned up. The second is that it is not close to anything, if you want to do things outside of the hotel, you have to go by taxi or tuk tuk which can add up as none of them use meters. This is ok if you are just looking to get away though. The last thing is that if you are averse to a lot of hilly walking, the Silavadee won't necessarily be the place for you as to get from your room to the pool or beach or restaurant requires some steep walking. We loved our stay though and would have no qualms about returning. The hotel food is very good (including the free breakfast) but can be a bit pricey but that is true of hotel food in general.

We liked Ko Samui and Silavadee Pool Spa Resort. Free internet access via WIFI and cable. Breakfast till 11am :) The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice view form balcony (2nd floor). Every day we found fresh fruits and some local cookies in the room. We liked this hotel very much. It was hard to leave.

Wonderful relaxing vacation”

Our vacation at the Silavadee Pool and Spa Reosort was far beyond my expectations. Hotel staff welcomed us with cold drinks at arrival and they upgraded our room-probably because of our anniversary-to an ocean pool villa. The room has a small garden of its own, lots of space and most important private infinity pool with magnificent view. Hotel staff-friendly and efficient- cleaned our room twice a day and offered us fresh fruit.Very relaxing enviroment, no city sounds, free kayak on the beach. The only small disadvantage was the breakfast, as there were n't so many choices.

Beautiful resort with best swimming pool”

One of the most beautiful Villa we have been.Me and my Boyfriend stayed two nights at Silavadee, it is a beautiful resort with its own beach, some water activity gear has been prepared and free to use on the beach. Resort has two breath taking infinity pools sitting on the cliff facing the ocean. Through resort lobby manager Victoria's kindly help me and my boyfriend had a unforgettable private dine experience on the beach. Our Villa is luxury and comfortable,everything is just fantastic only if they could trim down the trees next to our villa pool a bit more to show the ocean view. Overall we are very happy with the whole experience, one thing has to mention here is the hotel taxi driver. We booked hotel taxi to take us to dinner on one night. After hoop in, the driver start to talking to us, by knowing which restaurant we were going to he made a call to the restaurant and told us it was full then suggested to go to another one, I insist not to change. After arrived, the place wasn't full at all. He walked in with us and reading out daily specials on the board. I tipped him 40B and obviously our driver wasn't very happy about that. This was a very confusing experience to us, because we do nor understand what he was trying to do here. I wish everything was out of a warming intention but miss-understanding.

Excellent Resort that you don't want to missed!”

this is our second visit to silavadee, some of the staffs still remember us, make us feels warm like being home. silavadee had made some changes since our last visit, many activities were added for guests to choose from, and we can plan our short island trip right at the lobby, which is very convenient for us. new cooking class was fun, surrounded by several staffs helping us, make us feel like king & queen; by the way, love the apron. foo, the front desk staff, helped us booking restaurant, golf course, and spa. aon & fon, cute and funning staff from "the height", always greets us with big smile. yem, the owner of the resort, who was so kind to take in our suggestion, and offer us advice for our bangkok trip. what else can we say?? we'll definitely visit again, very soon.
