Excellent location in downtown, walking distance to most of the interesting sights. Even to the wonderful Shwedagon pagoda. The staff is extremely sweet and helpful even though English language knowledge not very good but that makes your visit even more charming. The staff really tries their very best to make you feel good. Thank you for all of them for that! The breakfast was more local than continental which is also an experience. Breakfast was very well in line with the room price and perfectly enough. I was missing only a cup of tea but that was their way to serve the breakfast so no complains. My room did not have a window which gave a little strange feeling at the first but one gets used to it. I stayed for five nights and after the second day you did not even noticed the missing window. The staff would have changed the room if I would have insisted a room with the window but I decided to stay in that room. Yangon surprised me very positively. This is the city that everything still works traditional way and people are proudly useing their traditional outfits and the white woodpowder on their faces. Even youngsters. The biggest surprise was that there were no international food and coffee chains there.It was wonderful to see a city without sceeming yellow arches and other very visible signs of these int.chains you see everywhere in the world! I hope Yangon will also stay like this and keep their authentic style!! Ari from Finland

Enjoyable Hotel.”

Sky Hotel is sited in the heart of Chinatown in Yangon- with easy access to many eateries, shops & places of interest. Transport too is very convenient. Facilities in Hotel are adequate- clean bedroom & toilet, hot shower, good wifi, etc. Breakfasts too on the roof top are sumptuous with enough varieties. The staff are very helpful. Somehow I felt @ home staying here & would do so again on my next trip to Myanmar. Many thanks for the happy memories.

The hotel is located in Chinatown with good facilities for staying. It is very clean and quiet in the middle part of Yangon city. The staff is very friendly and obliging. Would recommend to you to stay.

EXCELLENT OPTION IN YANGON”

This is an excellent option if you are thinking of staying in down town Yangon. The location is perfect, the hotel is very clean, everything seems to work, the internet is outstandingly fast, and the breakfast is simple but more than adequate. The best facet of the hotel is the staffing. The Staff are absolutely lovely in every way. The Myanmar folk are naturally reserved and shy with foreigners, but a smile gives them the confidence to engage with you. I highly recommend this hotel if your budget is for 3 star accommodation

I was in Yangon for a short city break.. Having been there before, and having loved the vibrancy of Chinatown and the proximity to Sule Pagoda, I chose to stay at Sky Hotel. I ended up changing rooms during my stay and found the first (on the 7th floor) far superior in terms of layout, though I had constant problems with my air-conditioning unit. The layout in the second room made no sense... I had to boil water on the bed; the tea making facilities put in were ridiculous and there wasn't a sensibly placed electrical outlet to be found. A couple of more sensibly placed outlets would have made my stay so much better (I wish I had the kind of job where I could switch off and not need to worry about emailing etc. but that's not the case). That said, it's a cheap hotel, the staff were good, and I like the cheap eats and vibrancy of the neighbourhood. I don't agree with other reviews saying the neighbourhood is "dreary." If you don't like this part of Yangon, you won't like Yangon.

I stay here 2 nights. New hotel, great location (near 19th street, not far to Sule Paya & the market), staff so friendly. Highly recommend if you stay in Yangon.

Booked a room with no window the first night which was fine with air conditioner but room was a bit stuffy and smelt of mould. Was easily moved to a room the next day with window which was much more pleasant. Ended up staying longer to explore Yangon. Room is clean and large and in a great location for amazing street food. Thank you to the very lovely staff here. I would stay again.

Good location, right in heart of Chinatown. Plenty of food options around hotel and there is a cheap and good reflexology massage just next door. Breakfast is normal but could be improved. Rooms are big and air-con good.

New hotel with an elevator, they were still renovating when we were there. The staff are very friendly with a bit of English knowledge. Breakfast was average, fruits, toast, egg & some warm dishes. The window rooms with AC are perfect with enough amenities, even sandals are provided. The city centre is walkable, crowded with lots of eateries around. Scott market is 15 min. In the evening food/night market around the corner.

The hotel is fine. The neighborhood is dreary. There are much better locations in Yangon.

The location is good in Chinatown with a lot of food stalls. The room was clean. The breakfast rather basic. Staff nice. Dont expect too much of english language.

Location is Great”

Great location, great staffs, great deal, breakfast is simple but enough and daily happy hours cocktail at the roof top bar is a value added surprise. Except the toilet flooring of our room is abit wet always as its level was not done properly to flow down into the floor trap. But still acceptable for us.

Very good”

I like this place due to the location is very good. It is at Chinatown area. However, the room which I stayed have no window. A bit of troublesome when going up the staircases to take a lift in ground lever. Not much of TV channels (Only 10 channels). Environment is very clean and tidy.

Pros and Cons”

The place was clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and I liked the location of the hotel (situated in vibrant Chinatown). That said, I had a few issues with things in one of my rooms (I stayed here twice, either side of a trip elsewhere in Myanmar and was given a different room on my return) and found the layout of the second room I stayed in was a real pain, with nowhere sensible to plug in any electronic appliances - not even for the kettle provided; I had to boil hot water to make tea ON THE BED... Strange, as the first room I stayed in was fine, and much more sensibly laid out.

Not worth the price ”

Bed was comfortable and clean, but standard was completely let down by the bathroom. There was a leaking pipe and the shower curtain had mould on it. Location is good for exploring Chinatown and downtown area. Breakfast was also generous.

Near to Chinatown, just few minutes walking and near to the landmark like junction city, street 19 etc... Poor breakfast for me if compare with other nearby hotel. Staff is ok. Room is clean for me.
