good location near to Karasuma Station. easy to take bus to all attraction, bus station is nearby to hotel (~ 2 mins walk). Friendly english speaking staff. Room is small. bit noisy when cars passby because my room is facing the main road

Very helpful front line staffs. Location is great, almost right in the middle of busy shopping district and plenty of food joints. Across the street is a Supermart, and by the side is Family Mart. Great place to stay!

Stayed here for 4 days and found the room to be comfortable and clean. The staff are very nice and did their best to answer our questions despite the language barrier. Close to the bus stop, which makes getting around very convenient.

My favorite hotel in kyoto”
Pros: Location is near bus stop I really love the breakfast its like you are eating in a buffet restaurant, there are lots of variety of meals. Rice , fish, bacon, congee , cereals and more. Unli drinks also so worth it. The staff are friendly and their english is good. Cons: kinda far from subway station. The room and bathroom is small but way much bigger that other hotel.

The hotel is slightly out of the way from Kyoto's major shopping and cultural area but is well connected with bus lines and nearby subway stations, otherwise its a 30 minute walk from Kyoto station or two stops by the subway. The rooms were spacious however a problem encountered was that the heater continued to operate even after turning it off. Reception explained that the heaters always stay on throughout the hotel and could not be turned off and our only option was to leave the window open, which was even worse considering the hotel is on a busy city street with cars passing all night. As a result the rooms felt very hot and stuffy. Staff were very helpful at finding the addresses of hard-to-find restaurants and even printed out a map we could show to a taxi driver. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and quality of food.

Spacious room and toilet, well maintained facility, along main road, non smoking room, near bus stop, alot of privacy (unlike some other hotels with filmsy door/wall), some distance from train station. No shared microwave oven though.

Nice hotel located in Shijo”
The hotel is strategically located along Shijo, where u can literally walk to the shopping districts of Shijo. Taking bus no. 26 will send you to Kyoto Station for all train access. Although the hotel is abit aged compared to its neighbor, it is still well kept and rooms are spacious and clean.

Great location and friendly staff ”
Though the hotel is quite old but the room is very clean. It is located on the stretch of Kawaramachi shopping street but yet not too rowdy from the crowd as it’s 1 metro stop away from Kawaramachi station. It’s a nice 15mins walk to the shopping district and Nishiki market. Doesn’t felt that long as the weather was cool and nice. There are also a few buses near the hotel that will bring you directly to the famous tourist spots like the Golden temple and Arashiyama Bamboo forest and many others. Quite a few nice eateries and cafes near the hotel which is convenient and good. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Will stay at this hotel if I’m visiting Kyoto again.

You can walk to Shijo subway or walk to Randen railway(to arashiyama) The hotel is nearly to Family mart, can walk to Nishiki market and shopping street. Staff are kind, we can leave our bags at the hotel before check in and after check out.
