"Location: it's 10 mins walk to NTUC grocery, you can take the bus just outside the hotel ( use the back door gate ), bus stop 51,64,121 and 186. Bus 121 takes about 4-5 stops to Tiong bahru plaza (mall). Then take the same bus back to the hotel, problem is, you have to walk up across the skywalk and go down before you reach hotel. It's 5 mins by taxi to SGH. 2. Breakfast : very very very basic, rooftop, better to buy in the grocery and cook your own food. 3. Free mobile phone : calls to 5 different countries except Philippines 4. Please request for rooms near elevator coz we stayed at the far end 5. Room: it's very modern. Why? SMEG brand electronic stove top, microwave, sink. Free dishwashing soap and new sponge. They have complete set of kitchen utensils. 2 plates, 2 sets of everything.i love that they have a big strainer for me to steam my baby's vegetables. Kettle, toaster. Towel for dishes. Scissor, knife, peeler. Complete. 4. Replenish dilmah teas, coffee, sugar etc everyday. 5. They have 2 glass pitcher to store your water/drinks 6. Electronic windows. Very big ones. 7. 1 bedroom yet 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet. BRAVO! 8. Glass cabinets. Like it so! 9. Bathrobes 10. The bed is king size, California king. The linens--- honestly, the cleanest and looks so new and white. 11. They have plenty of electric outlet. Really really. And outlet suitable Philippines gadgets. 12. Bathroom: all grohe 13. Shower: water pressure is strong. Hot and cold. 14. Small toilet though but with bidet 15. Towels are big size. 16. Complimentary water everyday. 17. Big sofa bed. Can sleep 5'5 feet tall person. No dinning table and chairs though. 18. 1 TV in the bedroom and 1 in the living room 19. Staff are helpful with location, and everything 20. Free slippers although very cheap ones 21. Furama City Centre Hotel (SG Clean Certified)
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"I booked this hotel for a stopover for 3 nights. My room was great, big and by the looks of things, recently refurbished with glassed off wetroom/bathroom and big window. My only criticism of the room (and possibly every room although I don't know) was that it was a tiny bit damp. I've experienced that a lot in hot countries including Australia and Malta (even in 5 star hotels) so it's not the fault of the hotel necessarily. It was totally clean and well-looked after but if you are sensitive to it with Asthma or the like, perhaps not the most perfect choice. Otherwise, it was great. Good buffet breakfast too. Although they could get a better white wine choice at the bar. Only one choice and it was a sweet one. Blah. The location, for me, was perfect. A hop, skip and a jump to Chinatown, across the road from a non-glitzy shopping mall with food courts called People's Park which I loved. That was full of massage places, frame shops for cheap glasses and some great food - especially directly across the road from the hotel at a little outside food place called Cafe 168 (i think) I ate much better and far cheaper there than I did in the outside food street stalls in Chinatown which were really overpriced. It's also a 10-15 min walk straight down Cross St to Lau Pa Sat, a beautiful old colonial building housing countless hawker stalls. It's famous, good and cheap, worth a visit. The hotel is also super-close to Chinatown MRT stop which is about 3 direct stops to Little India and other connections. All in all, a good choice for me and I would go back. "

Harbour Ville Hotel - SG Clean Certified
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"I stayed here 4 nights and generally it's a good choice. If you want to book a good hotel in chinatown but the room rate is high there then you can check Habour Ville. It's not near the MRT but there is a bus stop nearby which can take you to the MRT in 3-5 minutes, so convenient. The facilities are good, the furniture is new and in a good condition. The staffs are good and helpful, nothing to complain except the 3rd night I found that my bed sheet got blood stains. I was so sleepy to talk to them so I just stayed away from it and slept."

New Cape Inn (SG Clean Certified)
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"We stayed there twice as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young kids) in the triple rooms and they were just ideal for that. they are spacious, the beds are large and the rooms are clean and modern. the second time, we even got the one in the 5th floor with balcony, which was a pleasant bonus. the staff is great, they offer storage space for bags and the Tiong Bahru Market with dozens of local food stalls (~4SGD/meal) is just around the corner. while the location in Singapore is great (close to Chinatown), it's a bit (~800m/10min walk) away to the next MRT (Tiong Bahru or Outram Park). But there might be a bus. "

Link Hotel

"Humble and unassuming hotel located a stone's throw from a large spread of foodie haunts in nearby Tiong Bahru and Chinatown area. Top marks for their friendly and helpful staff. A bit noisy when tour groups check-in or out but management is aware and situation has improved. "

"the location is near Outram Park MRT Station and it is only takes a few minutes of walking distance to reach chinatown point and other chinatown heritage attractions. There is a lot of restaurants near the hotels. The room is clean and tidy, it will be better if skylight room have larger space to walk. The staffs are friendly and helpful."

Hotel 81 Osaka (SG Clean Certified and Staycation Approved)

"The Chinese guy at reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, we had a really good impression of him. The room was small, but spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfy, the room had a big tv, everything was new and worked like it should, and it had all mod-cons including a kettle so you can make yourself tea/coffee/noodles. Very close proximity to Chinatown, but without Chinatown hotel prices, and a very short walk to the nearest MRT, from which you can make it to anywhere in Singapore. Great stay, would definately come back here."

iStay.inn - an urban art hostel
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"iStay Inn was an amazing experience. At first when looking at the pictures, I was unsure, because of the artwork on the wall. But once I got there, it had a very quint feeling to it, just felt like staying at a friend's place. Don't be fooled by the 'urban art', this was just a theme to the hostel and the rooms were white and clean. The staff was amazing and very friendly, I ended up becoming friends with the owner of the hostel. She's an amazing person and always there to help. Makes an effort to make sure you have a good stay at the hostel. The people I met at the hostel were great also, they were very respectful of the after 11pm quiet time. At night, you can just sit outside (like a balcony), and just chat with other travellers. It was pretty cool. The room itself was very clean and air-conditioned. It was sufficient room for me (solo) and it had lockers, bed lamp and outlet plug for each bed. I stayed in a room with no windows which I liked because it was quiet, but even the windowed rooms were pretty quiet (the hostel was away from all the bars). Location, you can't beat this location, it's at the prime area in Chinatown, and you're walking distance from Club st. (The street with bars and restaurants). Even though, you're one street off Club st., I couldn't hear any noise from that street. And you definitely couldn't hear any noise from Chinatown. Facilities, the washroom was very clean and the showers were fine. Don't expect it to be luxurious, it just has the basics soap / shampoo. For breakfast, there was free fruit and bread which you can use to toast, and some peanut butter and jam. Nothing fancy, it was sufficient. I think for what you pay for, it's a great deal. My criteria's for choosing a hostel was that it was clean, quiet and location, and iStay Inn satisfied all 3. Thanks for making my experience in Singapore memorable. If I plan to come back, I'll definitely stay at iStay Inn again! "
