Pros: central location,close to train station - friendly staff - coin laundry on site (300yen for washing machine and 100 yen for 30 mins dryer) - comfortable and clean rooms Cons: The room for a little too hot at night and when I put the temperature down to 16 degrees I did not feel a difference. - parking available at parking lot next door at a cost of 600yen per night. Overall a good stay.

I can highly recommend this hotel. Very close to Ueda Stn. Many restaurants near by. Wonderful cherry blossom viewing at the ruins of Ueda Castle. Plenty of entertainment through out. And food!!

We enjoyed our stay at SunRoute Ueda hotel. The staffs were polite, the room was very clean. It is located in front of Ueda station, close to LAWSON. We had Japanese food breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. Access was very easy. Check in check out were also very smooth. Will definitely stay here again if we visit UEDA. Thank you

Convenient location”
Not my first time staying here. The hotel is right opposite Ueda station, you can basically just walk the pedestrian bridge to the station which is super convenient. Staff is friendly. Two choices for breakfast - Japanese and Western. I have had the Japanese breakfast before it was good. This time I tried the Western breakfast, I think I prefer the Japanese breakfast. Hotel is clean and bed was comfy. But I wish it could have been cheaper.

Very close to station, just cross the road. Nice food opposite as well, just next street to train station. Drove and there was a public car park just next building. Small bed though.

Room assigned was not clean”
I was assigned to a single-user room on level 9. Upon entering the room, I saw hairs on the pillow case and on the bed. I requested for a room change on the same level but in vain. So I next requested for a change of new bed lining. The staff did change the bed lining, twice. Next I noticed the toilet was not clean up as there was a used body sponge in the trash bin along with a strand of pubic hair. In addition, there was pee stain on the toilet bowl seat. I showed the photos mentioned above to the receptionist but all he did was to display an apologetic smile back at me. What an awful experience with the hotel!

Location was amazing, literally right beside the JR station! Hotel was a little dated but it was still cosy and had all the necessary amenities. While the staff members spoke little English, they were ever so patient and friendly, and made the effort to help us wherever possible.
