"My first local trip in this year since Covid 19. E outfitting applied health prevention measure well. If you would like to stay the hotel with outdoor swimming pools, gym and restaurant within city areas, E outfitting will be very few of them and you can chill with those facilities. Almost 24 hours tea house is also just beside this hotel. Chills and enjoy!! "

Ritz Grand Hotel
Southern Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"This was the best room that I have stayed in, so far in Myanmar (over several moths). Very large, newly built so very clean, and very well appointed, including a king bed. The spa and gym were not completed yet, but there is a nice rooftop bar and a restaurant below. The food was fine and the view very nice from the roof, and many other restaurants are within walking distance. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It's a bit south in Mandalay, but attractions are minutes away by taxi or tuk-tuk. Airport is still 45 minutes by taxi."

Hotel by the Red Canal Mandalay
Northern Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"We stayed 3 nights at the red canal and could not fault the staff or hotel, they were very attentive and helpful. Excellent service and great rooms, the food was great and all the staff happy. We had one of the best meals on our trip at red canal, they also organised a taxi to take us round the sights of Mandalay which was a big help and we loved Mandalay Hill view. This hotel is setting the standard for others in Mandalay and if back in Mandalay will return."

The Link 78 Mandalay Boutique Hotel
Central Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"I have stayed in hotels all around Myanmar having lived and worked in the country for 4 years. The Link 78 in Mandalay is by far the best all round hotel I have stayed in. This is intriguing because it's far from the most expensive. It's what you would say is 'mid-range' in terms of price. However the quality of the rooms, the service, and especially the food, is simply the best in Myanmar I have experienced. It's worth visiting the restaurant on the top floor even if you are not staying int he hotel, the food is truly first class and not at all expensive. In the past 4 years I have stayed in about 15 different hotels in Mandalay. Over the past 6 months it has been the same hotel each time and I cannot see myself staying anywhere else. Well done to the Link 78 Mandalay - as a business traveller, you are the first hotel in Myanmar that has truly satisfied me and achieved international standards. "

THE LINK 83 MANDALAY BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Central Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"Honestly, I didn't expect to stay in a modern & clean hotel in Mandalay. This hotel has exceeded all my expectations for a boutique hotel. The room size is not big but it is cosy & comfortable with modern designs. The toilet was very clean. The mini fridge has a see-through glass door which was cool with very affordable drinks. The room comes with 4 vacant international wall plugs which was very convenient. Overall, I would come here to stay again when I come back to Mandalay."

Hotel Shwe Pyi Thar
Eastern Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"After disembarking about 5 a.m. from Myanmar's answer to the Iraqi torture chamber - the Yangon to Mandalay train, my friend and I limped into a 'taxi' and arrived at the Shwe Pyi Thar Hotel about 5.30 a.m. We hoped to store our luggage and find a spot on a floor somewhere so we could recover. However, after looking at our twisted, battered bodies the amazingly empathetic staff booked us straight into our room and even offered us a free breakfast, which I declined but my friend enjoyed. Our stay at this beautiful hotel was enough to restore my faith in Myanmar hospitality and humanity. If ever I return to Mandalay, a stay in the Shwe Pyi Thar will be mandatory."

Great Wall Hotel
Southern Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"The hotel is slightly old and amenities are basic, but I'll stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Mandalay because of the staff - they were very friendly, and the service was impressive. I accidentally tipped several of my earrings down the basin one morning, and the hotel staff took apart the pipe to retrieve the earrings while I was away for the day, and wrapped them up nicely and left them at the reception for me when I returned. I felt very welcomed throughout the stay, and I'd highly recommend staying here if you are on a modest business trip. It's within convenient driving distances of the key sightseeing sights (about 10 minutes), and is good value. Internet is also relatively reliable."

Golden City Light Hotel
Central Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"Stayed in many hotels in downtown before but this is one of best, in terms of value & comfort. Almost all staff are English speaking, very friendly & warmly, even help me mend my torn jeans. Housekeeping team was awesome, one of best in Myanmar! Lots of street food & restaurant food around, with Mandalay biggest mall just behind. By Myanmar standard, one of best professionally run hotels in town. Will be back for future stays!"

Shwe Ingyinn Hotel Mandalay
Central Mandalay,Mandalay - View on map
"SIG is centrally located; easily accessible to the old palace, mandalay hills, supermarket and just across the train station. They have made travelling for foreigners seamless with a hotel car for hire or assisting to book private taxis at reasonable rates - especially useful when you don't speak their language. We stayed 7 nights and i was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the room, the spa and the restaurant. The staff are super friendly, helpful and efficient - we had to extend our stay and made 3 separate bookings through agoda and they promptly understood our situation and allows us to keep to the same room. food at the 9th floor restaurant is delicious with a wide selection. the rooftop sunset bar is a must once the sun goes down. it offers a panoramic view of Mandalay. Surprisingly, the noise and the dust are not deterrents to enjoying a lovely evening there. Highly recommended - the rooms are large and comfy. Just don't expect fast internet connection, as is mostly the case in Myanmar. "
