Beautiful facade, excellent stay”

If you are looking for a stay that is just walking distance away from eateries or dining locations, I would highly recommend you to consider Suan Bee Hotel. Having booked the last room available, I was skeptical at first but was taken aback upon entering the room. It has extremely beautiful wallpaper and an oriental vibe to it. There are also water dispensing machines right along the hotel pathway, which is extremely rare for most hotels. Will definitely revisit if given the opportunity! Cheers

Nice short stay”

We stayed 4 nights at Suan Bee. The first night didn’t really sleep well as the air-con was abit noisy. Requested to change room and was fulfilled. The room given to us was satisfactory. Got a sitting area, bed was comfy, everything worked well. For the price we paid, what more could one ask for?? Conclusion: Nice stay. Well accommodating staffs. Very value for money. Location is good. Near to mall and good eateries. Provide parking lots but first come first serve.

Small rooms, Hard Beds, but decently priced”

Where to start? Our taxi bringing us from Larkin Station to the hotel tried to delay his arrival at the hotel by stopping around the corner and claiming he needed to "check his maps"... running up another 5 ringitt on the meter when the hotel was literally 10 meters away --- just around the corner. This was but the beginning of our horrible stay in the dreadful town of Johor Bahru, where 90% of the taxi drivers are thieves and our hotel was bare basics at best. Regarding the Suan Bee hotel --- it's room held just enough room for 2 small beds and a walk-way between them. The TV was ancient and fuzzy. The Shower was hot in the morning --- but cold at night. Guess one way to keep the costs down is to turn the water-heater off at night, eh? The hotel staff were somewhat helpful. They didn't offer us more than a "You can get breakfast around the corner somewhere" when asked, but that really wasn't unexpected. The location has virtually scores of places to eat. We got what we paid for. I had back problems for two days following after sleeping on the rock of a mattress we had in our room. Would I go back? Not on my life.

Booking not found”

Made booking via agoda but upon arrival to the hotel, my reservation was not notify by agoda and the rooms are fully taken up on that daay. being arrived at 3am, we are already tired and exhausted, but due to this problem we are sent to another hotel. not knowing our routes well there as that's not our area to know the roads and landmark, the reception sent us away to another sister hotel of theirs. we lost our way to almost the Singapore border and then go back again all the way to Skudai and when we call the sister hotel, the reception did not even know where is the nearest landmark or how to direct us there. managed to find our way there and reached around 4.30am. I am really unhappy with this and not sure if i will book from agoda again. I stayed many times in Suan Bee but did not have booking problem but when book from agoda, I paid in advance but dont have rooms available for me. Disappointed!

I not sure if here as a review might not be a compliment site for me? But when I was in doubts of certain requests from Suan Bee Hotel, so i called up to check with the staff before booking in. One of the staff was being very polite over the phone and got me patiently to solve all my questions after done. Most impressed me was her attitude regards in services line, she even suggested a best way out of it. Thanks you for letting my guest rest well for her day. I hope would have thanks u in personal again on my next visiting.

When i make online booking for suan bee hotel, i receive a friendly email from their personnel for confirmation. This had pleasant me much. Their service is good and staff there is polite. The room is clean as well and the location is just simply great for shopping n dine in.

Suan bee hotel is located around good food n shopping centre. For those who like to have supper, this is a recommended one. The room is clean and comfortable. Very suitable for family with wide range of room type. Overall, i will stay again in my next visit to JB

so many restaurant and pub and Sutera Mall just around the hotel with walking distance...and also have karaoke center nearby as entertainment during night time..the new shopping mall Paradigm mall also nearby with just within 10 mins driving distanec...got security guard as well..I booking one superior king room for a night, the room is so spacious..definitely, I will recommend this hotel to friend if staying skudai...

We had extra guests ”

My friend and I went on a 2 day trip had booked this hotel 4 days before our actual trip due to the price and location. The basic amenities were provided and the place is pretty alright for those who are just looking for a place to bunk in at night and we booked a King room. The corridor to reach our room is pretty deep in and the corridor is quite narrow, the room itself doesn't have any windows ( for travelers who has a fear of small or tight space, you might want to reconsider this hotel).This hotel was build from two shop houses combined. They do have a lift but there is no light we had to figure out where the buttons are after the door close and swore not to take the lift again but the stairs. The Stairs were pretty narrow and the last step is a little higher than the rest. The lighting inside the room is pretty dim and from the looks of it the room had not been used for a very long time and we had to open the room to air it. the fridge was unplugged, so we had to plug it in and it runs fine. It also has free wifi and two users can logged onto the network at the same time. The stuff were not very friendly upon checking in but did a decent job of checking us in. The hotel have a few stray dogs loitering around the front but they are tamed and doesn't bother any one even if you walk past them. During our sleep around 3pm for two days there is always a loud snoring from the room that woke both of us up. It usually end around 3:30 and there is also another "guest" who is staring at us when we sleep but we are so tired that we just knock ourselves out. Well, not every room have them I guess.. The location was terrific and it was just a stone throw away from the Sutra Mall which is still in the progress of upgrading. Surrounded by it were local food and even pastry, there is no need to worry about food. So it is a foodie paradise =)

Restaurant around the hotel”

Suan bee hotel is located where you can easily look for food. Not only food, u can find some boutique which offer best price for clothing and accessories. There are few dessert restaurant around and it's real convenient to choose from variety of food type like japanese, Chinese or Thai food which u like to have.

Suan Bee Hotel Skudai Johor ”

The first thing that captures my attention was the cleanliness of the room as well as the comforter which is not the usual white colour; with nice prints which is equally welcoming too! Only thing now is lift is not working. Will return to Suan Bee soon!

Other than Cleanliness Nothing to Complain”

This is my second stay and once again Suan Bee never fail to provide a comfort place for our short stay. Their location has nothing to complain about for us. The only thing that we would like SuanBee to improve would the cleanliness of the room.

convenient, clean, spacious, strategic location”

second time stayed here. its really rare to find a hotel room with these large space and facilities around this area especially with this price. the design obviously is old fashion compare to other newly modern hotel. the toilet is abit small. however, i get everything i need, there's also a family mart next to it, quite convenient.

great location, big room”

lots of restaurants nearby the hotel. although there's a pub beside it, you won't hear any noises in room. The room is big and so do the bathroom. only 1 thing that needs to be improved is the cleanliness. I did leave my luggage at the hotel at the day i checked out as i would come back to collect them after shopping, the staff asked me to put the luggage in the store room. when she opened the store room, there was a dead cockroach at the door and the staff seem not intend to sweep it away... a bit disgusting to me. but overall, still this hotel can be in my list for my next travel.

This hotel is near with Sutera Mall and strategic area for traveller to stop and enjoy moment at Johor Bharu. Location is near with all facilities that we want.

Clean & Worth For The Price”

Book a deluxe room and it's big and comfortable. Price pay for is worth and most importantly they got clean bed and blanket. I am very sensitive to dirty bed but this is so far the 1st hotel which I've stayed in JB that does not give me irritating feel... Recommend and would come back next time. Cons - Expect clubbing music to play up to 3-4am.
