Want to keep this place my little secret! ”

I've been staying at the Sulis Beach hotel and Spa for the past two years and I have been very reluctant to write a review - I want to keep this place my little secret! Rooms are very spacious and exceptionally clean, the staff are very warm and welcoming and everything there works an absolute treat. Consistent hot water in the shower with good water pressure, cold air conditioning, firm but comfortable beds and one of the best spas I have ever been to in Kuta. All this for a very reasonable price. Sure there may be hotels that only cost you $30 a night, but I don't trust what you get for those prices. The Sulis has never let me down and I will continue to stay with them as long as I am in the Kuta area.

Excellent hotel and staff”

Sulis Beach Hotel is located a minutes walk from the beach. The hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very big, with very comfortable bed. Food in the restaurant was fantastic, with large amounts of it. The prices were very reasonable. Breakfast buffet was very nice, with a large selection of food and drinks available. The Spa was also very reasonable, but again spotlessly clean and stated by very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is approx 1 mile walk to the centre of Kuta (along a lovely beach side path), or an easy taxi ride (taxis are also fairly reasonable, but barter for best price). Would definitely stay in this hotel again in the future.

The most friendly place!”

Highly recommend Sulis Beach hotel and Spa. First and primarily the staff are just fantastic, always friendly and helpful, good humored and just basically fun to spend time with. Highly recommend the rooms, just brilliant and the beds are to die for, better than home by a long way. And the bed at home is very good! Rooms are a generous size and well appointed with great entertainment, large, new TV and clean bathrooms, if you want to spend time relaxing away from the outside world . The rooftop pool, resteraunt and bar are also beautifully, food is first rate. And if you are a plane enthusiast this is the perfect place as the airport is only a short distance away. Yet there is no noise intrusion at all. The pool is large and well maintained. The beach and a wonderful relaxing walk are also only a few steps from the Sulis, just across a little used road, as is the Lippo and Discovery Malls, both excellent shopping centers only a few minutes walk just north.

Perfect location, friendly staff, amazing facilities”

This was our first trip to Bali and this was our first stop for the trip. We spent two nights here at Sulis, and our first night was the opening celebration of the spa. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a lovely fruit bowl and were showed to our rooms, which was impeccable. The room was very clean and a lot more spacious than the pictures show. My favorite thing about this hotel was the rooftop pool, it had amazing views over the town and beach. This hotel wasn’t too busy which I liked, had a ve ry relaxed vibe about it. We ate dinner both our nights at the restaurant and the food was amazing! We tried both traditional Indonesian and western food, prices are very fair and before leaving we tried out the spa, which is all brand new with up to date facilities. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Great trip! ”

Absolutely lovely staff. Everyone is constantly cheerful, friendly and welcoming. This was my first stop in Bali and it started my trip in the very best way, so thank you Sulis Beach Hotel!! There were only 2 problems I encountered. The 1st was finding a dead mosquito in the shampoo dispenser, lying on top of the shampoo. I’m not sure how it would have gotten in the dispenser since it’s kept closed. The 2nd was seeing a tiny piece of foam (about the size of a large grape) fly out of the vent. I’m very happy I was looking in that direction when it fell, because when I picked it up I noticed an extremely jagged piece of metal attached to it. Since it was such a small piece I don’t think I would have noticed it on the ground and most likely would have stepped on the metal. It only occurred that one time, but just keep an eye out just in case. Do not let These two things deter you- just keep watch, but the stay truly was absolutely lovely Thank you again!!

Exceptional”

This hotel is fantastic if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and other busy areas. Its close to the Airport with Lippo Mall a 5 min walk away. If you catch the Kura Kura Loop Bus Aston Kuta Hotel is just around the corner as a pick up location (as well as Lippo Mall) The rooms are massive as well as the beds and bathroom and its all really clean and new. The Staff were awesome, super friendly and always smiling and helpful. The buffet breakfast is on L4 with great good and views overlooking the ocean with a cool breeze. The pool is just as good on L5 with even better views. Could not fault this hotel at all, frequent traveller to Bali but first time staying at Sulis and this location but will stay here again for sure.

Great option for a final day(s) in Bali”

This is a 3 star hotel on the outside with a 5 star room standard. We were forewarned about this from other reviewers but were still surprised by the high standard of the room! Its a great option if you have a late night flight out of Denpasar airport and the hotel provides a free airport shuttle to all guests. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice and were very satisfied with the food. Try the filet mignon! Breakfast was one of the best we'd had in Bali and was full of options. The mixed juice was great and the custom made pancakes a bonus. The hotel is located up against the airport but also a 2 minute walk from the beach. The surrounding area is very quiet and a short walk from the mayhem that is Kuta. We found a few good restaurant options on the beach short walk away (e.g Promenade - a premier position on the very end of Kuta beach with good food and a superb outlook). We will definitely use this hotel again.

Oh That View!”

My favourite part of the stay at Sulis Beach Hotel and Spa was the view from the pool deck, I could of watched the ocean all day. The beds are very tall, I am a short person and a step ladder would have come in handy (jokes). The room was very spacious with a large bathroom, however if I were to stay again I would choose a room off the street on the northern side of the hotel as it was not a quiet street. The Wifi was a bit hit and miss but that wasn't all that important to me.

Short Get away”

We were a group of four older ladies taking a short break away. The Sulis is not on the Main streets of Kuta but easy walking distance. We weren't keen to be right in the middle of the noise and hustle and bustle of main Kuta. We found the Sulis quiet, clean, friendly and the Spa Treatments were excellent value for money. The Pool area and breakfast area were both pleasant and suited our needs. We all agree we would return to this hotel again.

Lovely modern hotel ”

Modern hotel with friendly staff. Greeted with fresh fruit on arrival. Room not ready (we were early) but safe area to store luggage and could use facilities.,, Rooms (king deluxe) were clean and comfortable - serviced daily. Loved the bathroom, huge bed and pillows! Wifi was okay - kept dropping out. Could hear road noise from 2nd floor. Great food and view from roof top restaurant- sunset views amazing. Roof top pool had sun beds and shade umbrellas. Could order drinks and food at pool and charge to room or pay. Enjoyed the pancake/waffle area at breakfast. Sulis Spa was awesome! Definitely recommend a visit. Beach a short walk away. Close to airport with free ride to airport when leaving. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

big nice room, friendly staff, a place where your family gets taken care of”

It's a clean nice new hotel Clean, nice and spacious room. Friendly hotel staff to attend your needs. Delish breakfast; my toddler son loves the waffle. Nice rooftop pool. My family stayed in sulis because it was walking distance to our friend's wedding (at ma joly). We came in all sick because of the weather change in jakarta and we loved just staying in to sleep in our hotel room. We also got airport transfer when it was time for us to leave bali. The location is secluded from the hustle bustle kuta. We wished we could've stayed longer.

Sensational Sulis”

The Sulis Hotel, renovation of former GreenGarden beach hotel and Spa is fantastic! The staff are amongst the friendliest and most efficient you could hope to meet. The rooms are immaculate and modern with led lighting, everything bright and comfortable. Bathrooms are very good. The rooftop restaurant is amazing at Sunset and after. The Pool has amazing views over the beach and to the mountains, Dining in is very affordable and the food delicious. Breakfast is very good with many choices. The Spa is first class, with many long term therapists.

Affordable option in Kuta”

Sulis exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely book the hotel should I have another chance to visit Bali. The staff is friendly, the room is sparkling clean, the restaurant offers sumptuous fares. It's not exactly in the center of things, but transportation options in Kuta are aplenty and accessible. If you are a budget-conscious traveler but doesn't want to scrimp on style, Sulis is just right.

Valuee for money hotel”

Sulis Beach and Spa is a clean hotel with big rooms. it is value for money and while it is in Kuta, it is far from the busiest streets. The spa was not as i expected (from the pictures). It looks like just one room with little space. I also did not like the quality of the food offered at breakfast. However, there was enough to eat.

Excellent hotel with extremely good design”

We had a pleasant stay at Sulis hotel (stayed at level 1). The room is large, the bed is also large and comfortable. The room is extremely well designed. There are quite a few power plugs everywhere in the room which can accomodate any types of plugs. The placement of the lights is also very good; it's well lit. The floor tile in shower area is non-slippery. They also provide a hanging rack for clothes/towel in the balcony. They burn mosquito repellent daily, so there's no mosquito in the room.(although the smell may be a bit annoying if you open the balcony door) The swimming pool is facing the sea so you can enjoy sunset while swimming. The hotel is very very close to the beach, we enjoyed watching the sunset while our kids played sand castle. The balinese massage was soft, gentle and enjoyable, and the price is very reasonable. The breakfast was fair. Could probably be improved. But overall, it's a very excellent hotel and I'll definitely stay there again in my next visit.

Great Location, Great breakfast, Clean, Bright & Spacious Room,”

Great Location, walking distance to beach, restaurants, minimart. 5-10 minutes drive to airport (not in peak hours). Great breakfast, Ms. Jenny welcomed my family very well, (I brought my family and reserved 4 rooms for 2 nights). Room was Clean, Bright & Spacious . The hotel staffs made the towels looks like a dogs doll. Save Deposit box, Refrigerator, Kettle, Aircond and power shower hot and cold were also good. They provide swimm towels in room. Great breakfast, they served special bacon with carrot and bean, fried egg, rice, yellow rice, fried noodle, tea& coffee, waffle, , pancake+ honey, croissant, breads and butter jams.. slices fruit, etc. This is my third stay in Sulis Hotel. My family members also liked this hotel very much. We definitely will come back. The hotel provide free shuttle from hotel to airport . (They would charged for Pick up from airport to hotel ). Driver Made Sugiarta who took all my family members to airport was very helpfull & nice to talk with.

Excellent”

If you're looking for a relaxing place close to the airport Sulis is a perfect option. Plus they offer a free airport shuttle (5-10 min ride). The reception floor doesn't look impressive bur the rooms are extremally clean, cozy and very well maintained. The pool was the highlight, beautiful ocean view, sunsets are amazing. The beach was too dirty, wouldn't recommend going there. Definitely try the spa, I got "Sulis for her" and mani, the massage was excellent and reasonable price. Just wouldn't suggest mani/pedi there, really small selection of nail polish colours and the mani itself was very unprofessional, could probably do better myself. The staff were great! Very attentive and welcoming, especially guys at the rooftop restaurant. It was an enjoyable stay, thanks Sulis.

New Great Hotel”

Lovely newly built & opened Feb 16th 2018,although the reception closes at 11pm,there was a security staff member to welcome us at 12:40am with a nice refreshing welcome juice,only thing we had to do was fill out a short form & had to come down the next day to leave c/card imprint (standard) as had to see a reception staff member for that,quick,easy check-in,absolutely lovely room,although street view across the road from Holiday Inn Express & Baruna Holiday Inn,as the pool is up top on the 5th floor,huge pool,can see the Ocean from roof top & watch planes coming & going,over=all a lovely stay,food excellent,good prices & beautiful,friendly staff. Well worth a stay & if you shop around online,you can get it for a reasonable price for around $55-$60,usually around $80,would definitely stay here again,we spent 6 days there & then went to The Rani,wish I'd booked the whole time at The Sulis Beach ;) The Rani's ok,but prefer Sulis Beach for different reasons :)

The Sulis was fantastic. ”

Our stay at the Sulis was absolutely fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms are modern and very comfortable and the restaurant and breakfast bar always did a great job. The food is good and prices are also very reasonable, so we dined in most nights. The pool is very clean and the view from the roof top gave us a birds eye view of the surf, all the way from Airport Lefts to Kuta Reef. I even got in extra surf sessions because I could see there were waves out there when the forecast suggested it would be flat. Thank you to Ary, Bagus, Bakti, Dian, Suka, Reefer, and all the other staff that I can’t remember their names for making our stay so much fun. We will be back again and again.

Exceptional”

Clean, tidy, very comfortable bed and room. Location is great, staff were very welcoming. Enjoyed the roof-top restaurant and pool, and the breakfast was one of the best we have had. We are looking forward to staying at Sulis Beach Hotel for our next Bali holiday.
