Feeling posh for little money”

Sun Island Hotel was excellent choice for our stay in Legian. Hotel has a very high standard of services - Breakfast bufet, Spa, pools, restaurant. Rooms are very comfortable with very comfortable bed and bathroom. Staff is superb nice and can arrange many things for you e.g. moto, taxi, etc. Hotel is in perfect location = many quality restaurants up to max 10min walking distance, rooms are orientated to the quite side of the hotel. The only cons if I may select - water in the shower/sink is bit salty. We had few ants in our rooms. All in all, if I am ever back to Legian/Kuta and the price will be the same, I will have no doubts to come back here. Matus & Lucia PS - traditional Bali massage was the best!

Second stay in the same holiday - excellent!”

This was our second stay at Sun Island Hotel Legian - we stayed when we arrived from the airport and also on our final night in Bali. From the moment you step into the hotel the staff are ever so helpful. Location - brilliant, on the main road, about 5 minutes walk from Sky Garden. Closeby to shops such as Quiksilver, Ripcurl, Billabong, Hurley. Approx 5-10 minutes walk from the beach. Accommodation - clean, modern, aircon works great. Massive bonus is the HUGE bed - it must be a super kingsize, it's great. Only problem was you wake quite early to a rooster outside, just ensure to have some ear plugs handy as that was our only issue with this hotel. Food - Quite expensive compared to outside but it's good. Staff - All so helpful and kind. Wifi - quite slow but good enough.

Fantastic Location & Friendly Staff”

I only had 24 hours in Bali on an extended layover. I chose Sun Island Legian because of the central location and good price. I was not disappointed. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Check-in was a breeze. The room was clean and well appointed. The location meant that I could walk everywhere during my short stay. I used the pool in the morning and I was the only person there the whole time. I never had any issues with noise. I heard dogs barking a couple of times, but I've heard worse back home! The icing on the cake was the use of a room later that afternoon once I had already checked out. My flight wasn't until 9pm. The staff gladly held my bags while I went out exploring for the day, then when I came back in the afternoon I was able to access a free room so I could take a shower and freshen up before my flight. This was VERY much appreciated. Next time I come to Bali, I would stay here again.

Everything you need for a comfy stay”

Sun Island Hotel and Spa provided a very comfortable stay. The entrance to the hotel is very grand, with very well kept facilities. The hotel restaurant, pool, and spa were very nice. The rooms had everything that I needed for the trip, and the prices were great. I would definitely recommend staying at this establishment. It made my trip to Bali very comfortable, thank you!

Slmost everytime choice this Hotel when i visit in Bali , cause the hotel is low price and ofcourse you can walking around or just chilling in many cafe or resto near Sun Island Hotel & Spa Legian. So recommend for you guys !

Fantastic to stay at - Very central”

We chose Sun Island when we were in Bali staying at the Radisson Legian, We chose it as it is central. The roof-top pool is awesome, Topix has amazing food, however it didn't have much atmosphere but thats because we were there in the low season. The live bands were good to listen too. The one and only annoying problem was a rooster waking us up in the distance every morning. We let staff know and they moved us to another room on the other side of the hotel and it was fine. The million dollar question... Will we stay again? Yes; absolutely!

One of the best options in Bali”

Great stay at Sun Island Hotel and Spa. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Shout out to Ms. Putu for being such a wonderful staff. The location is good as there are many shops, marts and eating places around the area of the hotel. The pool was nice and clean. The breakfast was okay and could be improved with adding more choices. Overall, my partner and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and will definitely come back here again whenever we decide to go back to Bali for out vacation.

Sun Island Legian Experience”

We had a great time at Sun Island Legian. The pool area is fantastic and had great music, friendly staff and plenty of shaded areas around the pool. Location is good - shops, restaurants, bars, massage, banks and starbucks all very close by and a short walk to Poppies II or Jl Melasti. There is a nightclub on the roof of the hotel next door and lots of roosters early in the morning that my friends heard but I slept through it so no bother to me. We were there on Nyepi day (silent day) but compared friends staying in other hotels, Sun Island had really good services and facilities available on that day.

Wonderful introduction to Bali”

Our stay was delightful. The hotel was incredibly clean, and the staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered at a hotel. The staff were very kind in answering questions, and suggesting places to visit and things to do. The hotel itself was lovely; the downstairs area is absolutely stunning. The hotel has two pools; a shallow rooftop pool that's great for tanning, and a regular pool on another level for those who enjoy a swim. The location was great; right in the center of all the action! Only a couple of blocks from the beach, and shopping centers are close. (Of course, if you're not keen to walk in the heat you can catch taxis everywhere. Very cheap) The hotel staff also arrange taxis for you, with the most reliable service in town. I am already looking forward to return to the Sun Island Legian. Thank you for a marvelous stay!

Beautiful Hotel, Amazing Staff”

We couldn't have been happier with our experience at Sun Island. This was my 5th stay in Bali and, while the service has been great everywhere I've been, this hotel was the friendliest and most professional by far. They even double checked our room for us when we checked out to make sure we hadn't left anything behind which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast buffet was great and we loved the pool and great cocktails at the swim up bar. We stayed for our honeymoon and when we arrived there were 2 towel elephants (super impressive!) a bunch of red roses, and frangipanis on the bed (which had been upgraded to king instead of queen as booked with no extra charge). They also arranged our airport transfers at what we thought was a very reasonable price. No complaints whatsoever and would happily recommend and stay here again.

Quality hotel for those partying in Kuta”

This hotel is excellent. It is extremely clean and in a great location if you're planning to party around well-known Sky Garden. From the moment I arrived until the time of my departure, the entire staff was full of smiles. They really make you feel warm and welcomed. The hotel has two pool areas, one on third floor and one on the roof. The one on the third floor is a bit nicer with plenty of seating in the shade, a few lounge chairs in the sun. I wish the air conditioning in my room was a bit cooler than it could have been but wasn't too big of a deal. My room was right next to the pool and my window faced a house with what had to be a half dozen dogs that barked all through the morning. In the evenings, you can hear the music from the Fashion Hotel right next door. I'm not a light sleeper so the noise wasn't an issue for me although the dogs did bother me a bit in the morning. I guess stay on the opposite side of Room 301 or a few rooms further down the hall if you're worried about the dogs barking. Overall, a great hotel. I would definitely recommend and would return to this hotel if I ever stay in the Kuta/Legian area again.

Fantastic staff and prefect location and classy”

Our stay was great at the Sun Island Legian, breakfast was great tasty food just not the menu where you can make your daily full English breakfast, however the Ommlets are very tasty! Everything else about the hotel was fantastic, I'll find it hard to stay anywhere else on my next trip to Bali, 5 star, A hotel I can appreciate great value for my money!!

Great Staff!! Fantastic Location ”

This is our 3rd stay now at Sun Island Legian and great as usual. Location is fantastic on Legian St with access to great bars and restaurant. Staff are fantastic and always williing to help and extremely friendly. Laundry down side St which delivers back to hotel so very convenient. Money exchange out front of hotel very good. Rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. Other Great Stay!!

Amazing! ”

Sun island is the best hotel in Bali! I have been a few times and stayed in several places but nothing has beaten what sun island offers, which is amazing rooms that are affordable/clean/spacious the service is impeccable, I've never had such kind service with such willingness to help! The location is great, so close to everything, the food is so nice too! I've never had an issue and I'll go back to sun island everytime! I just love this place

Great Value Great Location Great Hotel ”

We stayed at Sun Island Legian for 10 days can highly recommend this hotel from the standard of the rooms to the fantastic service from all staff. Great location for restaurants, shopping and all Bali has to offer. As regular travellers to Bali we will be back.

“Friendly staff, great location””

First of all, the Sun Island Hotel Legian is in a great position if you want to be close to the night-life. Sky Garden and other nightclubs are about 500 meters down the road and the beach is about a 10 min walk through the side streets. Although it was pretty loud on the streets at night our room was fairly quiet and my friends and I had no trouble sleeping. Like other reviewers have mentioned, there are roosters that crow at all different times of the day and can be heard most prominently in the morning however it did not bother us much at all. The rooms were pretty small (which we knew when booking) but the beds were great! There are two pools, one on the rooftop level of the hotel which is pretty shallow and warm and one on the third level with a pool bar which overlooked the busy street below. There is a safe money exchange right outside the hotel which we used all the time because it was so convenient. All of the staff were awesome and very friendly, I would definitely stay here again for the right price.

Great room for a great price ”

The hotel was very clean and modern. Security was everywhere which made us feel safe, although Bali itself felt safe as a country. The location was good. Close to the beach and shops, and every thing else you could need in Legian. The staff was attentive and courteous, always acknowledging and greeting us with a smile. The spa was great, very clean with great staff. The only complain would be that breakfast was ok, but wasn’t bad by any means... this is just me being extremely picky. Other drawback was there was a lot of tourists in the area. Overall I’d give the hotel a 10/10, especially when you consider the price!

Nice hotel”

Iy sas yhe 2nd time we stayed in this hotel but have already stay in sun island kuta. The rooms are good, the bed is very confortable but the toilet is too small. The water temperature and intensity are good. The pool in 3rd floor is ok but not very big. Breakfast is good, has a lot of choices and the food is tasty. In the center of legian is in a very good location.

Outstanding Service”

We were totally satisfied with our stay at the Sun Island Legian. It totally met all of our needs. If you require a quiet room then ask as there is a lot of noise next door at night. Rooms are very spacious and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is quiet pleasant as well as other meals. We will definitely stay at the Sun Island next visit
