Wonderful”
We highly recommend Sun island, a wonderful island. The hotel stuff takes care of you from the moment you arrive at Male airport all the way until you leave Moldives. Very well organized. Rooms are cleaned twice a day. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and varied. You can also find gorgeous snacks in the main bar between meal times. We took all inclusive and did not regret it. We enjoyed wonderful fresh juices all day long and in the evening at the main bar. A special thanks to Kowsar, Chilli, Faiz, Bejou, Mohamed and many others for their kindness and efficiency. There are plenty of activities whether you are a couple or a family. The island is not crowded, it is just visible when it is food time. Although it is recommended to wear aqua shoes because of some stones in the sea, there are beaches were you find only sands and you can walk barefoot. Water is warm. We stayed in the Deluxe Beach villa, with a wonderful view on the sea. We felt like in paradise. We highly recommend this resort and for sure we shall come back.

Outstanding service, over the top staff, breathtaking location”
There are no words to express how satisfied I am with my accommodation in this spectacular piece of paradise in the Maldives. From the moment of reservation, they contacted me to coordinate the arrival, inform the costs of the return flight from Malé International Airport and the requirements for the COVID19 pandemic. As instructed over email, upon arrival at the international airport, and after immigration procedures, I quickly and easily found the resort's stand, where the staff in charge coordinated the transfer to the island. Kindness, attention to detail and the excellent service from the very first moment. Once close to departure time to the neighbouring island of Maamigili, the guests were accompanied to the domestic flights terminal by the resort staff, and assisted for this purpose. We were guided to facilitate boarding. Upon arrival at Maamigili (after a 25-minute flight), we were escorted to a small port where another person in charge informed us how we were going to carry out the transfer, they verified that our luggage was present and they distributed us in three different boats (for a 8-minute trip). Once there, we were driven to the reception in golf carts, where we were offered a welcome drink, and a local representative welcomed us, offering maps of the place, information about the meal plan chosen by each guest, and optional activities on the island. Then, and due to the arrival time, we were offered a buffet lunch. Each guest (or guest group) gets a fixed table. I got the best one (table number 88), with a great view and Ananth as waiter. After lunch I went to my room, which was specially decorated for the welcoming guests. My meal plan was full board, breakfast, lunch and dinner took place in the buffet restaurant, where the enormous variety of options would change twice a day, making it impossible to try everything. An incredible experience in an incredible place. ”
My husband and I came to Sun Island Resort to celebrate our honeymoon. The staff did an incredible job making us feel loved and special from day 1. We were welcomed with a lovely bottle of champagne, a plate of fresh fruit and the words “happy honeymoon” on our bed using palms and flowers. Everywhere on the island, the staff were incredibly friendly and warm (always greeting you with a good morning and good evening). The food is out of this WORLD! And the best part is, most of what you eat is actually grown on the island. You can even walk around and visit the gardens! There is a plethora of activities you can do on the island (basket ball, soccer, tennis, squash, darts, ping pong, badminton) and a very well stocked and modern gym. The water and beaches are better than any of the pictures you’ve seen online (yes, it’s possible). The villas are beautiful and modern, and with jaw dropping views. We were greeted daily by beautiful and friendly reef sharks and rays all around the island. You can tell that this resort has a wonderful relationship with sea life, which is so important. I can go on and on about how incredible this place was. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing island, this is it. I cannot wait to return!

We spent 9 unforgettable family (all adults) days on this wonderful island. + excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner, food at all + our room nr. 572/571/553 (sun villa) was on perfect location, 1min to the beach, 4min to the restaurant, 6min reception and sport activities and beach bar + cleanliness 9/10 + kindness of staff 9/10 + fitnes and other sport activities (tenis, badminton, pikado, volleyball, basketball, football, table tennis) free of charges 10/10 + special thanks for our professional waiter Jabaraaj and patience photographer Sephora we have a lot of nice memories in photos from her - Some corals on that side of beach - Option for late check out (we want to pay that have 4h later check out, but it is impossible because of flight from island to Male was early after lunch) For us are enough full board, we do not need all inclusive. The island is so friendly for families with children to, i think that everyone find something for ourselves and really recommend this resort and island.

We just left this wonderful island, and had a really unforgettable vocation there. We stayed at water villa, with breathtaking view of the blue sea. Very convenient for snorkeling and swimming around, but there’re just a little corals nearby, around which there’re many fishes. The sea is so clean and clear to see, the color is just like Tiffany blue. We would like to specially thank to Manoj for the efficient and clean housekeeping, Imran for the great service in restaurant, and Dounia for preparing our romantic dinner. Thank you so much! You made our vocation much more unforgettable. We love all the landscaping and decorations of the island. And the sharks and sting rays feeding are brilliant. We’re so happy to been here.

Good value for the money”
Very nice clean island and good value for the money. Lots of staff keeping it in a perfect shape. All the food is super tasty and a lot to choose from. Besides the main restaurant they serve included meals there's a few restaurants, but you can expect to spend 100$ for a full set dinner there per couple. There's a lot of free activities: yoga, tennis, basketball, table tennis... Every evening they feed sharks and Manta rajas are would come as well. Next to the Italian restaurant there's very nice snorkeling area so I recommend taking couple of snorkels and start packing.

Best Experience on the Honeymoon trip”
The place was amazing, the staff were very courteous and helpful in letting us know the information. They are very well organized as we need not carry any cash, wallet, credit cards with us in the resort, everything is linked to our room no in the resort. Also if you are a honeymoon couple then you get some special treatments and benefits. The couples spa was relaxing and we enjoyed it a lot. The food at all the restaurants in the Island were good, especially the buffet at Southern Star (Main restaurant) and Thai restaurant were the best. Do take bicycles to roam around the island and there is a complimentary photo shoot at the resort and they provide one pic with frame for free and remaining pics if needed for extra pricing. We stayed at water villas and the experience was mind blowing, with water sounds through out the day and the access to go into water. Overall experience at the Sun Island resort was best and I would definitely go back if planning for Maldives again in the future.

First time I've seen the most gorgeous of the oceans - turquoise waters! And oh my the island was absolutely captivating! Not to mention the super over friendly and truly helpful and diverse hosts (Maldivian, Filipino, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, Russian, Polish, Indian, Chinese, etc.) I love them all! Moreover, there were countless water activities to choose from, so one is bound to really enjoy to the max! I definitely will not forget to mention the Japanese, Italian, Zero restaurants among others. The food was fantastic too! I am thankful to all people I have encountered and have become friends with like Adam who is a totally great guide for dolphin watching activity and surely other activities as well, Abhie and Jeremie who are wonderful performers, Tom and Ayofsal are over-the-top server and chef, and how can I forget the only Filipino yet Japanese chef in the island - thank you, Tirso! We were in the water villa. It was very comfortable and it has very nice surroundings. Food was great, also the stuff. The only matter which was dissapointing us is that above the water villas were flying drones few times every day, even that it should be forbidden. It was disturbing our privacy. We told about it to the stuff but we didnt recognize that something would change. The problem was on the side of the other tourists who were using drones and dont think about disturbing and spoiling privacy of other people, it is not easy to find the one who is using drone by the stuff. Resort should penalizace people who are breaking rules.

A perfect Dream Vacation”
The Sun Island is beautiful. Really enjoyed the stay in this resort. The service is outstanding. Would like to note the waiter Sobah, bartender Anand and the rep - Darya they were extremely helpful and cheerful. The fish and the sharks, the birds and the overall nature of the island are great. We took the All Inclusive option and never regretted. Big game adventure tour is highly recommended, We've seen turtles, mantas, whale shark and many others. And for the travellers, buying the plane tickets by themselves, you should mention that if you arrive to Male after 15:30, you'll have to sit there untill 22:40 - that's when the next local plane departs. And if you departure plane from Male home is around 11:00, you'll have to get up at 3 AM. Just a note to management - check the sewer system it's not good in the rooms 179, 339.

It was our first time in the Maldives and subsequently at Sun Island. We really enjoyed our stay and we were amazed by the island its fauna and especially the color of the water (no there is no color grading in the videos / photos you find online). Facilities of the resort are at a high standard. The fact that the island is big offers different possibilities to spend your day as in each zone the water is different. Be careful of the UV rays as we could not stay in the sun between 10:30 and 15:30 due to the high UV index (11). We recommend this resort as from our point of view it offers a great value for the money you pay (or at least that was in our case). Big thanks to Sabash and a very special shoutout and thanks to Anis who really made us feel very good when going to the Coffee Shop.

The resort is nice with lots of amenities. The beaches are superb, specially those opposite to the Beach Bar. Our Sun Villa room is new and comfortable. The location of the room was excellent near the main restaurant. Good selection of food. COVID measures were taken on the resort. It would be interesting if the resort offered the chance to get there by seaplane.

It was a very pleasant stay at Sun Island Maldives. We had a great time during our entire stay. The island is big and I suggest to rent a bicycle for easy commuting within the island otherwise they have complementary polo cart services but it takes few minutes to reach. The rooms are very neat and clean. It was a perfect gift for my wife on our anniversary.

Super clean place - housekeeping twice per day. We had enough free drinkable water - no any additional spendings on water. Super cool and friendly stuff - best service that I ever seen. Island is not overpopulated - we had enough privacy here. We had HB. Breakfasts and dinners was the best that I ever seen. Rooms are old but modernised. No Smart TV.

+ beautiful ocean and beaches + very nice water Bungalows still affordable + resort big enough to have space for yourself + vibrant sea world around the island (you see sharks, sting rays and lots of fishes) + nice snorkeling offers where we saw manta rays, walessharks and turtles + good food choices- we had half board which worked very well. The water bungalows have a very nice buffet place with less people + very friendly staff + lot of additional offers like mini golf, gym, tennis, football etc etc + seamless transfer to the airport Only thing not fully appreciated - the main area of the Ressort organizes music events almost every evening and music could be quite loud if you stay in a bungalow close by

Great location, big island”
This is quite big island and just 15 mins by boat from domestic airport. Stayed there for my Birthday in room 187 and great housekeeper Raj made an amazing congratulation with flowers on my bed and brought free wine and cake! Island got many different restaurants, Italian one is really really good. The dinner time at the main restaurant at 7:00 PM is very crowded and too bustling, but breakfast is peaceful. Map of the island which is distributed upon check in is actually upside down (north is on the south), so I would change that in order to not to confuse visitors.
