Fantastic location, room, & staff!”

Room was clean; the bed was very comfortable; ideal location for tourists.

I chose this hotel because i brought my kids with me. The room is standard in size. Bed very comfortable! The view is nothing great since our room is facing office buildings. Cleanliness was superb. Price is expected since it's near major attractions which is really FANTASTIC! You can walk to Circular Quay Ferry Station (less than 5 minutes) wherein you can catch a ride going to Darling Harbour, Mosman for Taronga Zoo, Luna Park, etc. The Opera House is right beside the Circular Quay Ferry Station. Jamie Oliver's restaurant is also on the same street of the hotel (about 15 mins walk). You can also explore The Rocks (about 5 mins walk). There are convenience stores right in front of the hotel in case you need to buy something. For someone with kids, the location of this hotel is very good. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I have nothing but good words for Sydney Marriott Hotel. And the staff are all friendly and helpful :)

Great Hotel and Good Staff at the Hotel ”

Location is great and great views.

sydney harbour marriott hotel review: when i reached at the hotel for check-in, they said that they did not have a reservation for me. i thought not again (i cannot believe that this is happening again). so i said to them that i made a booking via agoda, and they quickly sorted it out. what happened is that the hotel marriott made a spelling error in my surname and that was the reason why they could not find me on their system. hotel reception staff was very friendly. the room was great and i really liked it. the only disadvantage of the room was that they did not have a desk table for me to work. they had a round glass table which was very uncomfortable for me, as i could not work properly via my laptop. room space was really good and everything else about the hotel was 5 star. agoda is really helpful in making customers happy and i am sure i will book any hotels in the future through them. trust me patrons, it is very hard to make me happy.

Sydney Marriott”

Location location Location!!!! Excellent staff. Incredibly friendly, professional and polished~esp TIM the Concierge. GREAT food.
None that I found....and I'm a very frequent traveller. Worldwide

The Marriott Sydney (Pitt Street) could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. As if the excellent staff (in all areas) weren't enough, I don't think there is a better location in Sydney; right ON Circular Quay, on top of the Ferry, Train and Bus terminals and walking distance from EVERYWHERE. There is nothing this concierge doesn't know or can't arrange~and if you'd like to take a snooze to ward off some jet-lag or just rest your weary sightseeing feet a while, your room~with stunning harbour views~ is blissfully silent. And cool. Even when the Aussie summer is enveloping you with 36C of sunshine. A PERFECT hotel in a Perfect location.

Marriott Sydney Harbor Resort”

Location, Location, Location. This hotel is just steps away from Circular Quay, The Rocks, The Bridge, The Opera House and The Botanical Gardens. It is neat and clean and the staff is awesome.
Internet is way too expensive for what you pay to stay there. They should offer wireless and it should be free. The hot tub was not operational.

Not having been in Australia before I did plenty of research on the areas and felt the best location would be a nice hotel in the circular quay area. I picked the Marriott because they generally have a solid reputation for accommodations. They did not disappoint. The location of this hotel can't be beat. It is steps away from the Harbor and all the favorites, The Bridge, Sydney Opera House, The Rocks and the Botanical Gardens. Every mode of transportation was available, be it train or ferries. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable. They were quick to offer advice on restaurants and give us directions to the Apple Store or nearest mall. The hotel is right in the CBD district with wonderful restaurants and shopping malls. Sydney is a walking City and you could walk for days and days - just be sure to bring good walking shoes. I have nothing but kudos for this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Sydney Harbour Marriott”

Location! My wife uses a wheelchair, and there was reasonably level access from the hotel to Circular Quay with its restaurants and ferries. We found the Sydney Harbour Marriott to a good place to stay for those wanting easy walking access to the Circular Quay and the Opera House.
Broadband Internet access is pricey. Our window was dirty.

The Sydney Harbour Marriott is a 5-star hotel, which means you get first-class bell service into and out of the hotel, a high-quality restaurant, and a well-appointed room. We chose it for its location just a few steps away from the Circular Quay ferries, rail stations, bus stops, and restaurants. For those with mobility concerns, the route from the hotel to Circular Quay is reasonably level and navigable in a wheelchair. Rates seem to vary - if you can get a good rate, I recommend it.

Great location to see iconic Sydney sites”

Location, Nice room with view, friendly staff

We stayed here because it was close to Circular Quay, the Rocks, and the Sydney Opera house. It was an easy transfer from the airport to the hotel via train. Also close to other attractions in Darling Harbour (maybe a 1km walk). Rooms were large size, clean and comfortable. Can't really comment on the food or other hotel services as we spent most of our time out of the hotel site seeing and taking in other restaurants in the area.

Sydney Harbour Marriot Review”

Attentive service, obliging and courteous staff, a good range of food and beverage options, very comfortable beds and stunning views of the Opera House makes the hotel a tremendous place to take in one of the world's most iconic buildings.
Sydney is an expensive city and this is reflected in the price of the hotel, which was very expensive. There should be better specials for weekend rates.

The Sydney Harbour Marriot is ideally located within a short distance of two of the world's most iconic man made structures- the opera house and the bridge. It is also close to Circular Quay from where you can easily take ferries to Manly, Taronga Park Zoo and the north shore. It is also within walking distance to the Rocks, Museum of Modern Art, Campbell's Wharf restaurants and the bridge climb. The service is excellent, with attentive staff providing excellent service.

Great Hotel - but you must be 'recognised' first”

comfort, location, view

I was not very impressed by the concierge/bell hops on arrival. We arrived the entrance right in front of the concierge desk and started unloading lots of heavy bags from the car without any help at all from the bell hops who were all just standing around and no one even tried to offer us a trolley (several empty ones nearby). Our first arrival was simply to leave some luggage after getting off a cruise ship while we made a trip to the Blue Mountains. Once I approached them and told them we were future guests, they became more friendly and helpful. (Duh? Why else would people unload luggage in front of a hotel?) After our trip to the Blue Mountains, we again unloaded several suitcases and no one stepped forward to help us again. 2 strikes even before check in! There was quite a queue at checkin by a pleasant receptionist who gave me the keys and didn't say much else and a long wait for the lifts after that. We had to lug our own luggage - for a 5 star hotel??? We had a deluxe room on the 26th floor with 2 twin beds for our family of 4. It was in a corner and opened up to a little vestibule before the main room. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the amount of storage and the beautiful unblocked view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour. The beds were very comfortable. The location is excellent and a short walk to Circular Quay, the Opera House, Botanical Gardens and the Rocks, as well as taking the ferries to other places like Darling Harbour. We did not eat in the hotel. There is a convenience store and a coffee shop right across the street as well as lots of banks and ATMs. The Avis car rental is right there in the hotel driveway although overnight parking at the hotel costs $59. Free Wifi available in the lobby for 24 hours.

sydney harbour marriot hotel ”

5 minutes walking distance to the harbour and 15 to opera house we had an good deal because of early booking
we had to wait hrs for roomkey and by switching staff shifts they forgot us.

the hotels is fantastic situated in sydney. 5 minutes to the harbour, circular quay, train, boats and restaurants. at the back door of the hotel you have bars and restaurants without walking distance in the business district. the rooms were perfect, good beds and good airconditioning. service reception was not so good by arrival and friendlyness of staff at reception is cool. but we had the possibility for a check out a little later. the lobby restaurant is good and has friendly service.

Great stay, friendly staff, especially the doormen”

room, food, friendly staff

Throughly enjoyed our stay overnight, for the above reasons, the doormen at the front were really friendly and looked after our luggage before and after our cruise, and we did appreciate this, we will be staying with them again on our next trip to Sydney. The hotel itself was so easy to get to by train from the airport, just a few minutes walk from Circular Quay to the hotel. Thank You!

Amazing”

location, comfort, value

We had a great stay at the marriott. The large twin beds makes it even moe comfortable. What i like about this hotel is firstly due to their location. The circular quay area is perfect for sightseeing. It is close to the opera house and the the rock area. Ferry rides is just in the corner. Avis car rental is also strategically located wthitin the property.

Great location and friendly staff.”

Good location, well appointed very clean room, excellent service by friendly staff.

We needed accommodation in Sydney at very short notice and, as the Rugby between Australia and New Zealand was on that weekend, it was a difficult task indeed. I came across information on Google re accommodation at this Hotel and decided to book and I was not disappointed. If you are looking for accommodation near the Quay and the Rocks this is the perfect place. The room was well appointed and clean. The staff are very friendly and informative as to what is happening in the area, and the service is excellent. We will definitely stay there again next time in Sydney.

Excellent”

Location, room, access to nearby shopping and dining.

We had an excellent 5 nights stay at the hotel, service by staff at the front desk, F&B outlets, and concierge was very good, we had very a comfortable stay in a city view room. The best thing about this hotel is it's location, just a few minutes walking distance to the ferry wharf, train station, opera house, Starbucks & etc, I guess there are actually only maybe 2 or 3 hotels that have this advantage, and Sydney Harbour Marriot Hotel is one.

Anniversary Stay”

The location is perfect with just a short walk to circular quay. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only problem is all the construction happening around the hotel which makes parking a bit of a nightmare but that’s not the hotels fault. Overall my husband and I enjoyed our stay and our view from the room was really nice. Breakfast was such a good selection. Would definitely stay here again.

All round class”

Clean, spacious, friendly

From the moment you walk through the doors of the lobby, the Marriott treats you to a spectacular view. The whole hotel has a majestic feel to it, and both the bar and restaurant continue this vibe. The rooms are spacious, beds super comfortable and the bathroom is more than accommodating. The views of the harbour are exciting, and a definite highlight. I would recommend a stay any time, try to get a room on a high floor with a harbour view- you won't regret it.

Lovely place to stay ”

The best place to stay to see vivid Sydney at circular quay. A short walk to opera house, the rocks, the wharf for cruising, the big bus stop, and CBD. Many eatery around.

Excellent Hotel”

Hotel is very convenient and staff is excellent. Especially the staff at the concierge. They go out of their way to help you. The location is close to Circular Quay, the Rocks, the Opera House, so plenty of touristy places. There are also a lot of good pubs and restaurants nearby. Good for business or couples.

Wonderful Room, Extremely Comfortable, only pricey”

Comfort, Location, Competent Staff

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sydney Harbour Mariott. The hotel staff was nice enough to make a dinner reservation for my partner and I at a restaurant we wanted (simply by requesting through concierge). We also managed to borrow umbrellas from the counter when it was raining. cant say too much about the food as we didnt eat there, but otherwise it was a really comfortable stay (the bed was wonderful). Only issue is that its a little pricey, but after all, it is an international brand, wouldn't expect anything else.
