The staff were always ready to greet and extend help when it was needed. Our little kid was made very welcome wherever she went. The best of it was that kids meals were all free for kids below the age of 5 and the quality was excellent. The resort's premises was fantastic and Tanjung Rhu beach was simply peerless. It's one of the most beautiful beaches in Langkawi if not the best. Four Seasons wasn't the cheapest. By any stretch of imagination but it was definitely worth every penny. The activities at the Kids Club were also action packed and the Instructors were very good with kids. I would highly recommend it to any family considering a holiday in Langkawi.

We stayed at Tanjung Rhu for 3 days 2 nights. It was an amazing experience for us. The resort has a private and beautiful beach. We could walk on the sand bar (which you could see on many of the pictures on agoda) at certain times of the day. A very beautiful scenery. Tanjung Rhu has 3 beautiful swimming pools which I love the Sands Pool the most. The room is spacious and clean. The interior is in good condition but the furniture is a little worn out (especially the wardrobe). The other wing of the resort is currently under renovation. We totally in love with the spa service offered by the resort. It is a must-try experience at Tanjung Rhu! It is a little pricey than the outside spa service but the staff there were very friendly and well-trained. The room smells great and facility is very well maintained. Overall experience is fantastic. The journey from the airport to Tanjung Rhu took about half an hour. It is very quiet and out of the city. If you do not want to depend on the airport transfer (which is Rm50..), you may want to rent a car to travel around Langkawi. Overall, it was a very great experience to stay at Tanjung Rhu. All the staff are very friendly and they do remember your name! :) Will definitely go back again!

definitely worth it! it was a good stay. bed was super comfortable, room was cleaned, basic stuff e.g towels was provided. view from room was breathtaking! room was just in front of the beach. at night, we could hear the sound of sea waves. it was so relaxing . i really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay in labu-labi again. however, i didn't try the breakfast as i prefer to get around to find local food. and it is near to jetty ( i forgot the name) where you get to go for boat ride in Tanjung Rhu - if you go for package. if you were looking for fresh delicious seafood, don't forget to go to Tanjung Rhu floating restaurant which you can go there by going to the jetty i meantioned.

We found Sunset Cottage to be ideally located for us, about 10metres from the beach, in the quiet northern part of Langkawi. Situated about 5km from the gorgeous Tanjung Rhu with several nice eateries nearby it was great. Not for those after night life (for that go to Pantai Cenang) but for a peaceful getaway at a good price I'd definitely recommend it. Alternatively, spend £600 a night at the nearby Tanjung Rhu or Four Seasons resorts!

This accommodation is the best choice if you opt not to have a all-inclusive requirements i.e. airport transfer, packaged meals, room service, swimming pool, etc. Nonetheless, the chalet is equipped with the needed necessities: beds with clean sheets, baby cot, ironing in room, mini-bar/refridgerator, air-conditioning, bath towels, hot shower, basic toileteries, good reception television (using satellite dish), dressing table, wardrobe and wi-fi. Making up the room every morning need to be inquired. It does not have a 24 hours reception, but the property owner shall contact you few hours before you land in Langkawi. The draw to choose this is the best location by the beach. You can hear the sound of the waves even with the door and windows shut. The beachfront here and all along Tanjung Rhu is cleaned up every day by the local authorities. A choice for pure relaxation and a long deserved sleep.

This motel may not be for everybody, but it was definitely the best one for us. It is far from main tourist resorts, located by the sea, accessed by dirt road. You definitely need your car or bike. Couple of shops and many local restaurants in walking distance (within 15 minutes walk), but having to walk everywhere would be very limiting. Two beaches close and easy to walk to (in front of the motel the shore is rocky), but it might be easier to drive, especially during high tide. I especially recommend the Black Sand Beach! You won't find many restaurants for tourists, usually no english menus and staff doesn't really speak english... On the other hand you get a chance to taste local cuisine for amazing price and with a bit of courage you will soon learn how to order Nasi Ayam or Bihun Goreng :) We loved the local food, there's a small restaurant (or buffet, you name it) at every corner. And every Friday there’s a big local market with so many things to taste! About 10 minutes by car is the Tanjung Rhu beach, where Mangroove tours start (highly recommended!) and the beach itself is gorgeous - in case the beaches by the motel are not good enough. The motel is modest, clean and very nice. Hot and cold drinking water are free from disinfection machine outside. No food provided, but with several grocery stores aroud it’s no big problem. The only downside was no fridge in the room, but when we asked the staff offered us to use their own fridge and kept the door unlocked for us. It is a family-run place and it was low season when we stayed, so the reception was not open 24/7, but when we needed anything we always found someone to ask and the staff was always very helpful and nice, even invited us to their barbecue party by the sea. Long story short: an awesome place to stay if you want to truly experience calm Langkawi, you're not afraid of local cuisine, and you want to avoid crowds. It is exactly what you would expect for the price, actually much more than we expected.

This place was very nice, clean, very close to the beach.It's in the northern part of the island so you need a car but if you want to see something of the island you have to rent something anyway.There were NO people on the beach which was fantastic!No big crowds of tourists..The Fisch&Chips place has excelent food and yes, beer!We enjoyed this location very much, it was like being on an privat island.Wonderful, thank you Red Door Apartment!
