Perfect Pitstop between Sydney and Brisbane”

Our cottage was sizeable with three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, air hockey table for the kids, full bathroom including tub and a TV. We also had a spa on the deck. The cottage is charming and traditional but could have done with a power clean and paint job to turn mustiness into freshness. The location is in a bushy area near Port Macquarie, an easy drive to Port Macquarie for beaches but out of it enough to feel secluded and peaceful. Its location is a great pit stop between Brisbane and Sydney - that was the purpose of our stay. Highlights for us included the friendly animals - loved the donkeys and goats, the leafy environment, fresh eggs, home made bread and welcoming hosts. Improvements could be made with a spruce up to the cottage including a paint job, power clean, new mattresses and most definitely new pillows. If you stay here I suggest you take your own pillows for a better night's sleep.

The host is very responsible and she is very helpful. We love the family room of this hotel since there is a lot of classic furniture as well as decoration.

Lovely overnight stay”

We stayed here overnight driving between Brisbane and Sydney. We didn't spend much time here and so are planning on travelling back another time to be able to enjoy it properly. We were met by Roger who is very friendly and was helpful in pointing us towards the local pub for dinner and the local sports club for breakfast the next day. The property is out of the way but easy to find using google maps, and so the location is very peaceful, apart from the animals that they have on the property, for example, we woke up with the call of a rooster :) I found it great value for money and look forward to visiting again and easily recommend it as a place to stay.
