a great relax time at the beach”

We spent only 2 night at Thande Beach Resort. The staff is friendly. The superior twin room has aview on the garden and near the beach.A road is close to the building but it is really quiet with no or small traffic, we were not disturbed by the noise. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful with local seafood restaurant. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent! The hotel organize free airport transfert and manage everything for you..... so nice staff. Thande Beach Resort is a really nice place to stay in Ngapali beach.

BEAUTIFUL SPOT TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL”

I had a wonderful three night stay at Thande Beach Resort. The resort is ideally located right in the middle of beautiful Ngapali Beach which meant everything you needed (which let's face it, is the beach, the water and a restaurant/bar) is a stone's throw away. I was worried that Ngapali would be busy and crowded but it was anything but. Our Garden View room was enormous and well fitted out, with a fantastic balcony overlooking the gardens and glimpses of the ocean - which was all of 50m away. After 3.5 weeks of travelling around Myanmar, this was a great spot to relax and feel spoilt!

3* hotel with 5* staff”

We booked TBR for 4 nights of beach time at the end of our Myanmar trip. What a fantastic place to relax! The resort occupies a central location on a stretch of beautiful beach, with many restaurants a few minutes stroll away. We booked the cheapest rooms, which are at the back near the road. You can hear the traffic but we didn't find it bothersome. The rooms are spacious with a balcony which is great for hanging out clothes to dry or just relaxing with a book. Although the resort was almost full when we were there it never felt busy or noisy. No problems getting sunloungers! It was nice to have the option of the sea or the pool and you could easily switch between them, with lots of outdoor showers to remove excess sand! What really stood out was the level of service, especially the F&B and housekeeping / ground staff. Staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing, their level of service and professionalism was equal to that of a 5* hotel. Nice touches like a "fold down" service and staff pulling out chairs for you to sit down etc, as well as being greeted by a big smile and "minglabar!" everywhere we went made us feel very looked after. I really enjoyed the breakfast and thought there was great choice, again with excellent service. You will see "swankier" resorts along the beach but if you want great value for money in the care of wonderful staff I'd recommend Thande Beach Resort unreservedly!

Very relaxing week on a beautifully located hotel”

Arrived the hotel after approx. 20 hours travelling from Norway. Immediately very relaxing atmosphere and amazing scenery. The place is amazing and the hotel is reasonably priced accommodation to experience the lovely scenery. Ngapali is in general very expensive in terms of getting accommodation, but dinner and other services and activities is very cheap, so in total you'll come out of it without having to bankrupt yourself. If deciding to stay at Thande Beach Resort, you'll have to visit the amazing seafood restaurant Ngapali Kitchen (5 min walking from the hotel). Enjoy your stay! We did!:)

Amazing beach”

Great place to relax after the sightseeing throughout Myanmar. Thande Beach Resort is located right in the middle of Ngapali Beach - very convenient to eat at many of the small beach restaurants. We atyed at the tail end of the season, so it was very quiet, but just perfect!

Perfect Resort Experience for a Great Price”

We were very impressed by Thande Beach Resort. We had one of the cheaper rooms back near the road but it was very comfortable and clean. The staff were so cheerful and polite - even people cleaning or doing maintenance smile and say hello when you walk by them. The breakfast was fantastic, we looked forward to it each morning. Every breakfast food you could want, with some local dishes as well, eggs, waffles, and pancakes made to order, good (real) coffee. We spent the majority of our days on the beach using the comfortable loungers and umbrellas on the sand right in front of the resort. This area even has good wifi coverage which was a nice surprise. The beach at this spot is really pretty and the water was perfect. Most of the restaurants and shops are a short walk towards the central part of the beach, though there are a couple options next to the resort.

Very relaxing and peaceful with beautiful sunsets ”

Stay was enjoyable as expected, because it was our second visit to this hotel in a little over a year, although prices had climbed by 100USD per night from the previous year- very annoying, given we paid the same per night for the top 5 star hotel in Kuala Lumpur, but no doubt sign of increasing demand. First row sea view is best if you're only staying a few nights as most will be. Local restaurants can be far cheaper with fresh sea food, now located on the beach within minutes. Main coastal (only) Road from airport was being upgraded/widened during our stay so quite dusty but this should be finished before the next season. We have been visiting Ngapali for over 10 years and changes are becoming rapid with more hotels and tourists, although still a beautiful and peaceful place for a good rest. If you want to get away from the madness of Thai commercial beaches, or being pestered on the beach in Bali, this is the place to be.

Off season visit ”

Be aware Ngapali in general is in low season mode. Many restaurants etc are shut, can't hire e-bikes in the wet season. Expect wet weather, more rubbish on beach due to prevailing wet season winds. Otherwise all good, enjoyed our stay due to lack of people. Thande Beach Hotel provided all our needs, enjoyed our stay. Only one thing guys, keep the pool cleaned regularly!

Beautiful and relaxing Ngapali beach”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Thande Beach Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and well maintained gardens and rooms. Also a great position on Ngapali beach, with numerous beach-front restaurants nearby.

Amazing stay”

Ended our journeys round Myanmar in ngapali at Thande beach resort. Amazing three days, loved the cocktails (esp. Thande palace) and the huge array of breakfast. Want to come back already!

Absolutely super”

Really good layout, large breakfast area overlooking the beach. Great breakfast choices. We had second line deluxe rooms which were beautifully decorated with a king size bed plus a single. Large bathroom/wet room and dressing room. Lovely toiletries generously provided. Efficient and helpful staff, always ready to go the extra mile. Best location on Ngapali Beach. Great restaurants nearby, including the Green Umbrella. All around outstanding hotel, we will be back.

Outstanding Myanmar hospitality in beautiful location”

My wife and i spent 5 nights at Thande Beach Resort to celebrate her birthday and have a relaxing vacation. The trip exceeded our expectations. Thande Beach Resort has clean, comfortable, well-maintained rooms and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The gardens are beautifully maintained. It is unpretentious compared to more "upscale" resorts along this strip but this only adds to the charm of its staff and grounds.

Fantastic, unforgettable hideaway”

We loved the friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet and comfortable, well appointed rooms. The attention to detail at the Thande Beach Resort was amazing - from a hand signed welcome note on arrival, customised Christmas Menu to a Christmas card signed in hand by the management including the chef! There are also number of lovely family run restaurants within walking distance. Our favourite by far was the lovely Min Thu with their great tasting vegetable tempura - just 10 minutes walk, on the main road opposite the Aureum Resort!

Nice beach vacation”

Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. They made our stay very special. We had amazing time in Thande Beach Hotel. We recommend this hotel to everyone. Room was spacious and clean, all buildings are new. Housekeeping took very good care all the time. Delicious breakfast with great selection, our favorites were omelette and pancakes. We called at the hotel one day before arrival and got free transfer from airport (also free transfer back to airport). Beach is clean and beautiful with white sand and clear water, plenty of beach chairs. Location is good, many fresh seafood options around and also some good massage places. E-bikes were available for rent, but usage is limited due to battery (we ran empty battery after 50km).

Great stuff and beautiful place”

Very nice resort, directly located at the amazing Ngapali beach. Great stuff, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good an you can choose even traditional local or international food. Our room was located near the noisy main street and you can hear trucks and cars all night long. In our room the mattress was a bit hard. In all other hotels and guesthouses in Myanmar we had better matresses.

Great hotel in a great location”

We originally booked a Superior room but were not happy (rooms are in separate block near road with limited aspect) and upgraded to Deluxe rooms, staying in all 4 room-types! The hotel is arguably in the best location on the beach, being central (an interesting gentle stroll a mile each way), and very close to a range of cheap beach shacks selling primarily fish dishes. The manageress is highly proactive and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful in this well-run hotel. Food is of a good quality and we alternated between hotel, beach shacks and other hotels. We visited other hotels during our strolls/dinners, but prices seemed a lot higher, and dining-rooms were often deserted (The Bayview being the exception). It's a great place for romantic relaxation after the rigours of touring, but I would also consider it favourable to Thailand for a quiet/romantic beach holiday. Regarding the rooms, Superior are okay if you are on a budget and want a great location, but I strongly recommend a Deluxe; all Deluxe are double the size with identical lay-out and have the nice aspects you would expect from a beach resort; as you move up from Garden view to Second row sea view to First row sea view you get little extras, and of course, better views. I would go for Garden view which represent best value for money, and if you can afford it then indulge yourself in a couple of nights First row seaview to get a taste of the high-life.

Nice hotel, beach, close to the seaside restaurantst.”

Ngapali beach has extremely expensive hotels, compared with rest of Myanmar and Thailand seaside resorts. Nice hotel, nice sandy beach. It's worth for two, three days - there is nothing to do or to see. Just enjoy the sea, sun, beach and fresh seafood.

What a beach, great location, great staff!”

Ngapali beach is really really great. This hotel is placed on the middle of the beach, close to all the cosy little restaurants on the beach. Staff friendly. Nothing to complain about. But if you have the choice go for the Garden Bungalows instead of superior room. The $40 is soo worth it of you are traveling with kids. We upgraded the last two nights.

Great hotel with superb location”

This hotel had what we came for in Ngapali; location at the beach. The ocean view room was perfect for us; and the water was only a very shprt walk away. Room was spacious and clean. The option to rinse your feet from sand right outside the room is also a plus. Breakfast was also tasty with a good wide selection. Wifi was just ok, connection was sometimes intermittant and genrally slow.

Best location of Ngapali Beach”

Excellent stay. We stayed there for a week but a bit sad when we need to leave....we love the hotel location and the housekeeping staff was excellent. The Front Office staff can be a little warmer and more helpful though. Overall a great place to stay and we fall in love with Ngapali beach and certainly will be back.
