Pleasant stay in 5 Elements Hotel”
I came to know of 5 Elements hotel when visiting KL Chinatown. The staff was friendly to show me the rooms which were nicely designed and clean. Therefore in my recent visit to KL Chinatown again, I decided to stay at the 5 Elements hotel. I was not disappointed as the room meet my expectation 100% and the the price was better than other hotels of similar standard.I would definitely be staying at 5 Elements again when I next visit KL.

Superb hotel!!”
This is my 2nd time staying in 5 Elements, and it's still a great stay! Simply love the location of the hotel - directly opposite Chinatown where you can find good food and great bargain deals. Chinatown is even more exciting at night, with more stores offering greater variety. There's also a lot of food stalls just below/opposite the hotel (day time: wonton mee, dimsum etc. night time: bbq fish, claypot rice, lok lok etc).. Would certainly stay in this hotel again if I have the chance to visit KL again :)

Everything I needed and more!”
If you are a budget traveler, but you still want a nice place that is close in, then 5 Elements is a good choice for you. My room was large, there was adequate storage, the AC worked well and the amenities were very nice. All the staff I dealt with, especially my housekeeper (for room 1009), was exceptional. If I wasn’t too tired from my day, I could walk home from the Central Market (which has DHL shipping office, as well as local shops) or catch a cab. Food is good in the in-house restaurant and food abounds in Chinatown on the street or little restaurants along every road. Truly, the 5 Elements is a great choice for it’s facilities, as well as it’s location. Try it, I am sure you will be as pleased as I was.

Great location at the fringe of Chinatown”
the hotel is just minutes away from pudu raya, which is a bus terminal that serves commuters heading to states north of kuala lumpur. being at the fringe of chinatown (jalan sultan), it is also near food stalls as well as popular fast food restaurants such as mcdonald's and kfc; as well as coffee joints such as starbucks (located at kota raya; next to mcdonald's). the hotel is a 14-storey building that is a refurnished. the lobby gives a nice and clean image of the hotel while the rooms gave hints of a hotel that had been around for a long time. efforts to refurnish the hotel - such as placement of lcd/plasma tvs, new shower heads and taps, and fairly new bar fridges - are commendable. other than that, the mineral water and instant coffee and tea are complimentary. free wireless internet access is available from the room. do call reception for the wep key. a family pub at the ground floor allows visitors to grab some snacks while the day-tour stall just outside the pub helps organize visits around the city as well as the neighbouring states. a taxi-stand just in front of the pub also provides a quick way to get around town. beware though, that the taxi drivers may ask for a flat fee as opposed to running by the meter. churches (both catholic and protestant), mosques and temples around the area allow visitors to fulfill their religious obligations if they are going to be there for more than a week or over the weekend. as with most places of worship, do check if photography is allowed before snapping away. the pudu raya bus terminal was newly renovated during my stay and obtaining bus tickets are fairly straight forward as long as you know where you are heading to. a special note if you are heading to genting highlands: you can grab a bus from sentral kl from their "feeder bus terminal", or from pudu raya itself. alternatively, you may also grab a taxi for a flat fee of rm90 (as of 18 june 2011) up the highlands and about rm120 for the journey back to th

5 Elements Hotel ”
We had an enjoyable stay at the 5 elements hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The location is really good - the centre of china town - and if yo uare on a budget (we are a couple and wanted somewhere to stay that was reasonably priced yet of a good standard) then I think this is a really good place to stay. The breakfast was okay, not the best but not the worst! All in all great value for money and would recommend to those travellers on a budget just above a dorm!!

Fantastic Hotel in a Fantastic Location”
This hotel was excellent. It is incredibly well located in the heart of Chinatown. It is close to a train station and surrounded by markets. The hotel was modern, clean and with everything you could want. The staff were friendly. We had great views over KL from our room and could see the Petronas Towers and the Kuala Lumpur tower. I would definitely stay here again. Only comment was breakfast was a bizarre mix and was cold when we had it.

THE RIGHT ELEMENT”
The hotel is modern & trendy in it's decor. It has a relaxing atmosphere right in the hub of China town. The hotel is a wonderful contrast to the other buildings & hustle & bustle of China Town market. It is ideally situated in a cultural/colourful shopping market which is very convenient. When you get tired of shopping & eating, you can slip back to the hotel and replenish then head out again!!! The reception staff are curteous, friendly & always smiling. They made us feel very welcome & assisted us with maps, directions and local tips. They even gave us a quick lessons in useful vietnamese words. Also after viewing other hotels in the area we found that the 5 elements was not just another high rise, but a very personal hotel that provided excellent value for money. Our room was perfect:clean, good size, & nicely decorated. We loved the whole experience & would not hesitate in staying there again.

The 5 Elements Hotel - Kuala Lumpur”
Good stay at the 5 Elements Hotel, enjoyed the China town area, especially good if you like Chinese food and you can get relative cheap beer if you look, which is difficult in some areas of Kuala Lumpur. Hotel location was good, as we were near KL Sentral, which allowed easy access for our flight home. It was a brief stay, but would still recommend, not fully sure about a prolonged stay, that goes down to personal taste.

Excellent hotel in KL's Chinatown”
Our 14th floor corner room was spacious & clean & we could see Menara Tower & Twin Towers in the distance. Petaling Street is just a minute's walk away, and this hotel is close to many attractions & famous local food. Basement Parking costs only RM5 per entry for hotel guests, & we walked everywhere. Breakfast comes with the price of the hotel room. Staff were polite and quick to oblige. Enjoyed our 2 night stay, as always, & we will keep coming back to the 5 Elements.

Great deal for its price”
This hotel surprised us. Price was very affordable for all that was provided. We booked it only 6 hours in advance and got an excellent price on Agoda for only MYR88 a night. Pros: great location in the middle of Chinatown, good complimentary breakfast, reasonable price, nearby conveniences (food & transport), clean and comfortable rooms, responsive hotel manager (on Google reviews) Cons: does not require secure pass to access the lifts (anyone can go up to the room corridors), limited amenities (no hair dryer or iron) For the price we paid for such a last minute booking, I am surprised at how well-maintained and great the hospitality is. Probably the most decent-looking and well-kept hotel in all of Petaling Street. Two thumbs up to the management, will recommend to anyone overnighting on a budget in KL 👍

5 Elements, China Town, Kuala Lumpur”
This is a really good hotel, especially for the price. The location is phenomenal, as close as you can get to the action of China Town and Petaling St Markets without being a grotty little hostel, also no more than 5 (OK, 10 if you walk slow, wait for traffic and take alot of photos) minutes walk to Central Market and Little India. It is also close to the monorail. The rooms are surprisingly large with decent facilities and it is all very comfortable and clean with a huge TV and decent bathroom size. The staff are absolutely top notch when it comes to local knowledge and lending a hand and advice. The only real beef is that lack of additional hotel (as opposed to room) facilities and the cost of booking things outside of the hotel, through the hotel, e.g. taxis (80RMY to Airport.. train is about half that and a taxi you hail yourself outside their door won't ask for more than 70RMY), some of the tours (though in this case it isn't so easy to organise yourself without prior communication with a driver), etc. All in all though I will recommend it to anyone who is tired of lugging a backpack and keeping a wary eye on their fellow travelers!

Good hotel, lacking some details”
The Hotel is good, smack in the middle of Chinatown. On a sidestreet of Jln Petaling, so it won't be too busy in front of your door. Loads of options for food drinks and sights just around the corner. The room was clean, nice and huge with a good view even if we didn't book the "elements" rooms on the higher levels. Wifi reception in our room was almost nonexistent. Breakfast was ok, prepared omelette, bacon and sausage, fruit and fried noodles available. Although the hotel has nice decals and a modern finish, it seems like it could use a more thorough makeover. It seemed a bit aged somehow. The only really negative point: one could notice from the smell that our room had once been a smokers room. While the slight smell subsided over 2 days of aircon use, it nevertheless would have been nice if the carpet would have been changed in the last years or at least some air freshener would be used in those rooms.

A great budget option in Chinatown”
The 5th Element Hotel is a great budget option for staying around Chinatown. I've stayed in several sub $50 hotels in Chinatown and they've been horrid, and this hotel was only a fraction more but really quite nice. We were able to check in to all 3 rooms we'd booked at 11am which was fantastic after an overnight flight, and we were delighted to find our rooms had views over Chinatown and we could clearly see both the KL Tower and Petronas Towers - fantastic! Breakfast was adequate but pretty ordinary, but that's pretty much the norm in lower end KL hotels. Close to Chinatown (literally right in the heart of it), the Central Markets and train stations for access to the rest of KL, I highly recommend this hotel. The street outside the hotel has some of the best street food in all of KL, make sure you try the chicken satays, roti bom and claypot chicken and rice!

Value for money, safe and easy to go around”
I'm really enjoy my 2 nights in The 5 Elements Hotel. Chinatown, restaurant and night market are just few steps from hotel door. Also, you can go around the city very easy from the hotel, because the Paduraya (KL-Bus terminal)locates only 150 m. away. or LRT train and Monorail is only 200 m. away. Great location !

Our stay at the 5 Elements”
The 5 Elements hotel in Chinatown was in a great location and the rooms were of good size and neat and tidy. Bathrooms were also roomy. Staff were always helpful and there are great little resturants in and around China town. With the markets literally outside our door we throughly enjoyed our stay at the 5 Elements. Not noisy like we were told it maybe but that could be because we were so tired we just slept well. I would reccommend this hotel, it was great value for what we paid.

Spacious modern rooms in Chinatown”
We stayed in 5 Elements hotel altogether for 3 nights, and really enjoyed our stay. The only cons were the breakfast (which with little effort from the hotel's side could be made better) and the during the first night the A/C that broke down. However once we informed the staff about the problem with A/C we got immediate response. Altogether the service was very good and flexible, so extra points for that! Rooms were clean, modern and spacious.

Great Hotel With a Very Accomodating Staff"”
The Hotel staff were very accomodating to me and my daughter. Whenever we asked directions to the city, the staff provides details on how to go about the transport system around Kuala Lumpur. They even provided us tips on how to make a booking trip to Genting Highlands. The room was very clean and the beds are very comfortable to sleep on. Airconditioning was just right and we had a great view of China Town. They just need improvement on the breakfast buffet.
