Would totally stay here again and recommend to friends and family. There's a free coffee machine at the lobby. Reception has free packets of facial wash, cleansing oil, lotion. Laundry room (need to pay separately for wash and dry) and smoking room available as well. Room is cozy and bigger than the usual ones you get in Tokyo or Osaka. Toilet has a bathtub!! Location wise is great, super near the train station. Theres a big 7-11 right next to the hotel entrance, doesnt get any more convenient than this. Best of all, there's a Sukiya restaurant opposite the hotel! They open quite early but closes at 10pm so do take note of the hours if you want to takeaway back to your hotel room for dinner. Two thumbs up!

The most comfortable stay during our trip this year!”
Our stay at the b Kyoto Shijo for almost a week, was definitely the most comfortable during our trip to Japan this year. The hotel is conveniently located, with the station being just a stone’s throw away. Bus access is also awesome – you can get to most major attractions and streets from the bus stops located at the cross junction where the hotel is located. The rooms are generously sized, and extremely clean. As we were there over the new year’s, we got to enjoy some amazake, courtesy of the hotel :) most importantly, the convenience store just downstairs made all the difference for snacks and drinks. Will definitely be back!

Most amazing value hotel of my life”
The hotel is located 15 min by bus away from Kyoto Station with multiple bus options and frequent departures. Upon arrival you can’t help but notice the clean, modern Japanese aesthetics which immediately puts you in a state of calm and rest. You will also find the complimentary coffee machine in the lobby. Check in was expedient and efficient. The hotel is very new and the rooms are clean and spacious by Japanese standards at the price point. Overall an amazing stay and wonderful experience. Definitely recommend it and will return.

2nd time is sweeter and cheapest ”
Basically the cheapest stay i had in Kyoto. Now with Go travel discount plus Agoda weekend discount got this for a cheap. Super clean, brand new feel and super cheap but the rooms are elegant and doesn't nt look cheap at all. Very spacious compaed to a nirmal business hotels i have tried. Highly recommended place to stay. Location wise. Gion district is walkable, butbthis place is really accessible via Bus or subway.

I asked the staff to check in 45 minutes earlier and I was so thankful they allowed me. The room is spacious and clean. They provide you clothes iron on every floor. There is a washing machine which you can pay for 300 yen every cycle. And the drying machine for 100 yen/30 minutes. It takes up to 30 minutes to finish drying, however, the clothes were not very well dried. A convenience store is so very near. A pleasant stay.

The best hotel of our trip, We stop by in Kyoto for 1 night but we feel so relaxed and warm welcome from staff. friendly services. Beautiful room & clean. Good breakfast. The location is good too near the train stations. There is huge store of 7-11 at the very next of the hotel. We lovee our stayed, would definitely go back.

Comfortable and clean accomodation”
Just what I needed for a longer stay. My room was well insulated with easy to use a/c and heating unit. Good wifi connection in room. Convenient coin laundry / coin dryer units on the 2nd floor are available 24 hours a day and cost 400 yen in total for a load of wash and dry. Thank you to all staff for an excellent stay.

Blown away by this place. Due to the current situation of the world it’s cheap, very cheap. It’s clean, modern, spacious, comfortable and over all a great hotel. It’s close to Omiya station and to the castle, but a bit of a walk from other attractions if you aim to walk a bit. I’d highly recommend this place, it’s fantastic.

Due to carrying a few of the big baggage, we chose to take metro to the hotel but turn out the metro station wasnt the closest stop to the hotel and we need to make a change to take another train, in the end it took so much more time heading to the hotel than bus. For future stay, taking bus will be definitely a better option. The hotel room is spacious, clean with good shower and confortable beds. The bed head board is equipped with two USB charger, which is quite convenient. Amendities such as cleansing oil, face wash, toner, lotion etc are available at the check in counter too. Overall is a good place to stay.

The room is very spacious comparing to other Japanese hotels. The location is great if you use bus, the train station is a little bit farer, but still in close distance. There was a 7/11 store right at the 1st floor, so I could get food and water at anytime. The view is the best thing here, I got the higher floor room so the city view is fantastic.

King size bed + Fantastic shower”
At this price point, it is really hard to find another accommodation in the same location. The rooms are big compared to other properties in Japan and King size bed is rare to come by. I love the shower in the hotel and the staffs are wonderful too. Big 7-11 just downstairs which makes it very convenient to buy breakfast!

I stayed here for a day and the receptionist, as well as security guard, were extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. They spoke English and provided me maps, directions and guidance when I asked them about train directions. This place is super close to the bamboo forest so amazing location!!

Room was big for the size of Japan, very modern bathroom, big bed, perfect location. It is very close to the Keihan line, bus stop is just across the hotel. Best hotel that we have stayed in Japan. Will definitely go back!
