A unique experience of the Maldives.”
We had a really enjoyable week at Barefoot eco. It is a well laid out site with nice rooms/apartments and very friendly staff. It seems quiet, you never have the feeling that there are many people around even on days when the tables taken in the restaurant tells you otherwise. The facilities are good, the rooms nicely equipped, and the food is excellent - congratulations to chef and his staff. The sea is the clearest we have seen anywhere in the world and the beach beautifully sandy. The hotel does a nice range of activities from diving to snorkelling and cycling, some free, others reasonably priced. One advantage of this hotel is that it is on an inhabited island while still having a private beach. It is nice to be able to walk or cycle into the small town. We would recommend it to anyone.

Well exceeded my expectation ”
Thank you Barefoot Hotel, it was a very nice stayed and well exceeded my expectation. love the concept of Eco Hotel where you get to know some knowledge of marine life. the Staffs were lovely from the moment we step into the reception until the day we leave the island. highly recommended, the hotel will provide some complimentary activities like Yoga and Snorkeling tour. even the chargeable tour is very reasonable pricing. Keep up the good job.

The Best Holiday EVERR!!!!”
Amazing hotel!!! Very kind and friendly staff. The hotel had very good facilities like scuba diving, hobie cat sailing and snorkelling with trained professionals. The food was excellent and the rooms were spacious. It has complimentary bike rides in which you can take the cycle and explore the village, even the village had some decent restaurants like cool garden and café alyms cafe, which is around 1km and 4km respectively and you can easily reach there by cycle. It has complimentary kayaking. It even has beach volleyball where every evening you can play with the other guests & hotel staff ! Me and my family really had a lot of fun and I suggest its one of the best hotel in Maldives for family vacations. Though it is a little far from Male but it was worth it !!! It provides an escape for you from your everyday routine. Very well maintained private beach & beautiful scenic view of the ocean. Concept of walking barefoot in the hotel is simply great.......

Great Value for Money Hotel ”
This is an excellent value for money hotel. Please note that you need to take a domestic flight to reach the island, so check the timing of the domestic flight to Hanimadhoo and back. Also remember that hotel is in inhabited island. You shall get to visit a charming town near hotel (or island nearby) but there will be no liquor in the hotel. Hotel runs a boat bar in the evening. Its in excellent location but only open in the evening. The rooms are of great view - try ocean view rooms. You can spend all day looking at the sea. They have enough chairs in the beach which has awesome view. The diving trips are great. Rooms have limited amenities - but you shall have all you need. No TV in the room and no toiletries except soap. These two items Hotel may want to keep in mind. The food is good but have limited variety. Its Ok as they source most of it from the island or nearby. No pork. The meal hours are short and if you are late most food may be over. It will be good if Hotel can have a lite meal menu open throughout the day if any guest feel hungry. Staff is great - Please interact with experts.

Wonderful, fantastic, great! Great location and organisation. Superb staff :)”
We stayed in Barefoot for 5 nights, although at the end we would have prefered stay a biy more :) we slept in a Ocean View room that allows you to sleep and wake up watching at the immense blue, which is beautiful! We stayed in Full Board, and it was so convenient so you do not need to spend extra for lunch in the bar that was not cheap. Apart from enjoying relaxing beach time, we involved ourselves in many different activities; kayaking is great to reach the reef, snorkeling with marine biologist Ella for manta monitoring and to observe another reef nearby, diving with Miranda, learning about corals and turles in the night sessions they do in the lounge (they explain about them, how to identify, etc), morning yoga by the beach, massages (I totally recommend the Barefoot foot experience if your feet/legs are tired!), and the boat-bar (which is like a pirate boat in the sea where you can consume alcohol drinks)! I only have good words for the staff also, who have all so well organized!

Good value for money”
The hotel is very nice but the overall experience is not like staying in an island resort in the Maldives. Didn't think it would be a big deal, but it was to an extent - taking a regular plane to the resort as opposed to a water plane (despite it costing the same), the beach strip is not very long, some garbage at the far end of the beach. Staff is very nice and helpful with booking the return flight to Male, food is excellent. It's a good value for money resort

An awesome getaway ”
This is my first time in Maldives, it was an amazing stay why: 1. All the staffs in the hotel always have a smile on their face when they see us and very willing to help us in almost everything I need. Every helpful and very accommodation. 2. Plenty of activities to choose from there is diving, snorkeling, rent a bike, board games and see activities. There is so much to do you wont get bored 3. Unique boat bar experience, which allows you to consume alcoholic drinks and also watch the sun set. 4. Quaint and tranquil, there is only one resort on the Island with no many room hence it does not feel over crowded. 5. The food is good with a good variety. I will definitely visit again.

Great first experience in Maldives!”
The hotel is how it is reflected in photographs, the accommodation was very comfortable and the resort was filled with plenty of activities that will fill your days. They have limited rooms which controls the amount of guests that can be present at resort, so it's refreshing to have enough space and freedom while you enjoy your vacation time. Though the travel time to the resort was far, i would say its really worth it and it is value for money! Would love to revisit when i have the chance again. Thank you for my amazing first experience in Maldives, just wished i was there longer!

Very good”
Fantastic beach in front of the door, very good view. Warm welcome from the manager and the chinese stuff organized some special events for us to celebrate the Spring Festival. Our family spent the new year's eve enjoying the beauty of Maldive. Delecious Italian food. Solid wood furniture in the room and good smelling shampoo. Lots of fun in the Diving Center with different kinds of snorkelling and deep diving. It's a new hotel but definitely a good one worth trying. You won't regret it.

Living in Paradise”
This was a beautiful resort with friendly and attentive staff. Very laid back and easy-going atmosphere. The resort was almost fully booked, but it NEVER felt like there were too many people. The beach itself was breathtaking. I had an ocean view room on the first lst floor, I saw a little peek of the ocean because my view was mainly of trees and bushes, but it was still an awesome view. The food was delicious as well! I got the half board - breakfast & dinner, no lunch buffet. That worked perfectly because I'd get the mixed salad at the bar which was $11 compared to the $30 lunch buffet. I don't have many critiques for this place, actually, I wished the excursions were more flexible. Meaning that I was only there for 5 days: Fri-Thurs and was a late night arrival, so many of the excursions I wanted to do would happen after I left. There wasn't much flexibility with that. *However, Aishath was awesome in helping me find a way to make at least one of the excursions I wanted to do happen. She ended up pairing me and another guest who wanted a private tour together. That excursion was definitely the highlight of my stay. Overall, it was simply paradise for me! I wish I were still there. It's incredibly beautiful and a great way to relax, eat well and enjoy the sunny Maldives.

Great vacation”
We had a lovely stay. The food is good at the Barefoot. The beach is beautiful and the staff is very kind. I do wonder to what extent it is really an eco hotel. I think this concept could be implemented further.

Well organised affordable but with all kind of facilities!!”
You might think of luxury resort rightnow but please choose Ecobarefoot!! You wont regret. You get almost same luxury resort quality with affordable price. The hotel has absolutely everything. Diving centre (i am now qualified finally!), spa and massage therapy, pool, daily excrusions great food everyday and the amazing beach!!!! You cant get bored !!! And the hotel management is very good!! You only need to focus on spending good times, the rest they will take care of. My tips : Excrusion - free snorkelling everday! And please do sand bank excursion. Its so beautiful that i only want to choose Ecobarefoot for this in the future :-) Culture & biking - you will see loval people and learn their culture! Meals - i only took breakfast and dinner and ending up paying lunch at the hotel. Recommend you to book full board. You dont need to take beach towels they will provide on daily basis if you need. I was there in 4-12 may 2017 , plenty of sun!

Fantastic hotel, very nice staff”
I had never expected that our trip would be so fun. We have been to many nice hotels but this one was extra ordinary with special thanks to Sara who is the Yoga instructor in the hotel and magnified every fun aspect of our residence at the hotel. I had never tried yoga before but the free yoga sessions (8:15-9:15) in the morning with Sara worth it every penny to go there. Just make sure she is there when you are going there. She can change the way you look at life with her calmness, tenderness and dedication :) The hotel has many nice excursions which is good if you need a little adventure during your stay. The food is good. Italian style. We had half pension so we just experienced breakfast (8:00-10:30) and dinner (20:00-21:30). The staff of the restaurant were nice and polite. The only small negatives of the hotel were musquitoes and smoking guests ;). There are no designated areas for smokers in the hotel (maybe management should think about it since there were many children around )

Best buget Maldives resort....in this price range”
Strictly four star hotel. Facilities are well maintained. Room is basic but functional. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom, shower area is of adequate size. No TV but this does not bother me as the sea view is out there for you to enjoy, day and night. Sufficient sunbeds on the beach streched all along the beach. Pier is a good spot to take pictures. Buffet lunch and dinner are the best I have ever had. I would say it is of Western cuisine types more than the Asian ones, which fit best for me. Staff working at the restaurants are the best as well - very polite, courteous, smiling, serving free bottled water without pushing you for other drinks. Bottled water daily in the room as well as in the restaurant (free)!. Recommend to choose the full board so that you need not bother to eat outside for the lunch except you will be away to excursions everyday during your stay.

Paradise that feels like home”
Paradise that felt like home. All the staff were genuinely interested in what you had to say. Local serving staff looked proud of their work. Oh the beach/view every morning. Photos look like you have googled paradise. Elegantly integrated into the local environment you feel like you are in the middle of no where and with nobody to bother you. Perfect for a relaxing get away. Lots of good activities for those who can't sit still. Only thing stopping it being perfect would be softer beds.

A lovely place with the benefits of both a resort and a local island”
We stayed 4 nights and very much enjoyed the place, which is very peaceful with a beautiful beach. We were in the cheapest rooms which are still very nice - they are not along the beach but still it is very close. Spacious, clean, great shower, with fridge and safe. The best parts = breakfast is so delicious with lots to choose from, the beach is stunning, the dive centre staff are great (thanks Luca and Max!) and everyone is very smiley. There is free yoga every morning, free snorkelling and free kayaking. Downside - I think 30usd per person per meal (lunch or dinner) is quite expensive, but luckily you can take a bike into the village and eat at a local cafe for around 5usd and the food is very good. Tips - the cups provided in the room are very small, so next time I would bring a travel mug because i like a big cup of coffee! They provide lovely soap but no shampoo or conditioner so bring your own. Insect repellent is needed. Snorkelling gear is not free so bring your own.

Tranquility at its best ”
The resort is very quiet and it never felt crowded. Plenty of space to relax and feel like you are the only guest staying. Food is delicious thanks to the culinary skills of chef Christian and its team. Snorkeling trip every day at 3pm could last a bit longer but it's very well organized. House reef is about 400 meters away and not the best I have seen so maybe it's not the best if you are looking for a snorkeling heaven. Service is very attentive and staff is outstandingly courteous. Big shout out to our waiter Pradeep extremely friendly and professional. The dive shop is very well run by Davide and Miranda even though our dives were a bit disappointing due to the bad weather and sea conditions. The rooms are very spacious (we had an ocean view) and extremely clean. Ideal if you are looking for simplicity without giving up the excellent service and food. Not the best for snorkeling. Loved the fact that water is included at dinners and twice a day in the room. Overall a great holiday

Honeymoon in Maldives”
We were there for honeymoon, everything was perfect except hubby had a food poisoning / gastrointestinal infection, suspect got it from the food served, went to the local doctor, claimed it was from the food we ate, was prescribed with some medication, all good but when we highlighted to the hotel management they got really defensive and denied that is any of their fault (we haven't eaten anything elsewhere during our stay there, had 3 meals a day in the resort), we were left upset by the hotel manager, it's such a shame, everything was perfect and if they just honor that, manage the case properly instead of being too defensive we would have left them a perfect review.
