Amazing hospitality! ”

I planned this trip to Phuket for my husband’s birthday. The bloc hotel was one of my first view choices due to the reviews and it definitely did not disappoint. The location is perfect, a 5minute walk from the beach, the room itself was nice and cozy with a spectacular view of sunset. But most of all, the staff were very accommodating, always smiling and they even surprised my husband with a birthday cake! I was surprised myself because I casually mentioned in my email the purpose of visit but this was beyond expectations! Really a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone who visits Phuket.

Hotel Meant for a Refresh”

Going to a resort island like Phuket means you have to stay out and enjoy the outdoors. The only reason why you'd go back to where you're staying is to refresh, take a shower and have a good night's sleep (if sleeping is an option at all despite the evening and wee-hour activities) so you can enjoy the superb breakfast in the morning, courtesy of The Coffee Club. The Bloc is exactly that! A great room with a balcony view, nice shower, cozy bed, abundant supply of drinking water and a good WiFi connection. I brought the rate down to 4 under Facilities because the TV had no other program but local, Asian and news channels (no HBO, Fox, ESPN, NBA/Balls). But I get the idea - Phuket tourists are supposed to be out and enjoying the outdoors not staying in the room and watching TV! The pool, the superb breakfast and the hospitality of the hotel staff is already a plus! If I get a chance to return to Phuket, I will definitely book a room again here!

Good location ”

I stayed here on my last day in Phuket after staying in Kata for a few days. I wanted to experience Patong’s famous nightlife and also use this last day to shop at Jungceylon, Big C... which was only 10-15 minutes away from The Bloc. 24 hour mini mart, pharmacies, surf house, macdonalds, food, pubs, beach were all within 5 minutes reach which allowed us to experience all of them in a few hours. I love the rooftop pool and poolside bar and it’s a lovely place to listen to the chill out music. The room was clean and newly furnished, clean and simple design. I chose a sea facing view which faces the “main road”, it was noisy, busy... and we couldn’t enjoy the sea view as the sun was shining so bright directly on the windows so we had the curtains shut to keep the heat out. But we wanted to experience the noise and buzz in Patong so we enjoyed it... We checked out at 6am in the morning and taxi left at 6.10am and we arrived at Phuket international airport at 6.50am.

Exceptional”

I really liked the Bloc Hotel. Some of the reviews before scared me a little, but I had a good experience. I was on the other side of the hotel where there was another hotel and so it was pretty quiet and I didn't have any issues there. It is true what some of the other reviews are saying about brining up guests and they don't allow you to do that without paying 500 baht so it is better if you hang out somewhere else if you have a big group. The room was cleaned everyday and the staff was generally nice. The location was good for us too, very close to the beach and to Bangla street and you could easily reach the mall as well (good a/c place to go if you don't want to be out in the rain).

I was pleasantly surprised with The Bloc Hotel. My three day stay was just perfect. Location is HIGHLY recommended. Rooms are spacious and clean. Linens and sheets are immaculately white. Toiletries included. Everybody in the hotel staff were very accommodating, polite and courteous. Service with a smile. The hotel is accessible to everything: food, convenience stores, massage places, Bangla Road and the beach is just right across; 2-3 minute walk - that is very convenient! They also have a cafe attached to the hotel which serves good food. This place is highly recommended!

Much thanks to Bloc Hotel staff for the pleasant surprise. They set up the room w swans (using towels) and flower petals, after learning that it was my fiancee and my 6th Anniversary. Going above and beyond for their customers. The entire stay there was excellent, with helpful staff. Great location, 10mins from Jungceylon and even shorter to the happening Bangla street and Patong beach

the hotel is just like the the one in the photo..it’s clean, bright and the space is just right! i don’t even feels like leaving the room to be honest..my room is 417 and it’s facing the surf house..i really love the “hang out” corner at the side of the glass window inside the room, I got to read my book and ate my snacks there! I will definitely come back, kudos the bloc hotel!

Great location”

We stayed here for a night and really liked the location. It's across the street from the beach, near lots of restaurants, staff are friendly, and room was clean. The room was a little on the smaller side, but it's not like you're gonna be spending your whole day there in the room while in paradise. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come to Phuket again. People say that patong is a busy area, but coming from someone who is a tourist and it was our first time there I would say staying in Patong isn't a bad idea. Due to high taxi cost and how long it takes to get places, staying here for the night was the best thing we did. Wished we had made reservations to stay the entire time we were there instead. If you want quiet and not to be around tourists the whole time you are in Phuket I would say patong wouldn't be your place.

The hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly, they are attentive to all the guests. Their service completed my stay there at The Bloc. Location wise, it was situated in at strategic district whereby you are just steps always from the beach and minutes away from the shopping and bar district. Next to the hotel there’s a family mart, you can basically get all you need in within 5 minutes. The hotel is new and it’s well maintained. Room is clean and cosy, the swimming pool view is just awesome. All in all, I would say this is the best choice if you would go for cosy stay. There is Coffee Club right next to the hotel, they serve great coffee, so give it a try.

Great location and front staff...cleaning staff not so much”

Great location! Close to Patong Beach, walking street, shopping and food. The front desk is very nice and user friendly: however, the cleaning staff not so much. They, or should I say the individual that cleaned my room, was anything but friendly. No hello when she entered the room or asked if we needed anything after she finished...just cleaned the room and left. Next, don't stain the sheets or towels.....the hotel will charge you a cleaning fee. Most hotels will just write if off as a loss, but not the Bloc. Outside of those two issues, it is a nice place.

Great location and exceptionally clean hotel”

Hotel is located less than 250m from the center of Patong Beach. It is also only less than 10 minutes walk to the only modern mall in Patong that is Jung Ceylon which has a hypermart. You will walk pass the nightlife hub of Patong ie Bangla Street when walking from hotel to Jung Ceylon. An additional 5 minute walk from Jung Ceylon will bring you to the Muay Thai stadium where there is somewhat of a night market at the building opposite the stadium. You can find cheap Thai food, fresh fruits and also fresh seafood at this night market at a cheaper price than those nearer to the beach and Bangla Street.

The hotel and rooms actually look like the photos. The staff is friendly and helpful, location is convenient and very close to Bangla Rd and the beach. I highly recommend this hotel. Would stay here again. Note: if you get a seaside view room, it might be a little noisy at times as it faces the street that separates the hotel and the beach. But the view is nice you can see Patong Beach and sunset view. I didn’t find I have trouble sleeping at night though.

Received a surprise birthday cake from the Bloc hotel and the staff there. This make my birthday trip even more unforgettable. Definitely will stay again if I go Phuket.

Great location”

The bloc was very good to us. The location is in the middle of everything! The hotel is very modern. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was really clean. Our room was facing the surf house which had loud music playing pretty later but was no issue seeing as we were there for that type of ambiance. Only complaint is the shower didn't get really hot water.

Excellent”

Great location, can be noisey because of the location. The beach is across the road and down a alley way. The staff were excellent with our two young children, the breakfast option is from the coffee club below the hotel which has three options eggs Benedict, big breakfast or pancakes. The staff here were very good too. If you want to order extras it is very much western prices. House keeping was ok, on some days they came closer to 4pm but did come every day however you have to put the sign on your door to make up your room. The pool is small but adequate & the area to sun bake has amazing views over Patong. If you don’t like the hustle & bustle of a busy area this hotel wouldn’t be a good choice. We’d definitely stay here again.

PREFERRED CHOICE WHEN IN PATONG BEACH!”

Definitely my first choice when in Patong Phuket! Second time staying at this hotel. Location within walking distance to the beach, clubs, parlours and food places. Convenience store and pharmacy just around the corner. The staff were extremely friendly and even prepared a birthday surprise for me. Nothing was too much for them. Kudos to the reception team and pool guys!

Very friendly staffs”

The hotel is very clean. The room is a bit small but good for a short period solo traveller. Good location - one-minute walk to the Patong beach and different restaurants; across the street you can get a bus to Phuket town. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. Overall good experience and worth the cost.

Recommended for Phuket Holiday”

We enjoyed a 9 day stay at the Bloc Hotel in Phuket in February. The hotel was centrally located and across from the beach. The pool bar staff were very friendly and did a great job. The breakfast which was provided via The Coffee Club was high quality and delicious. We would stay at this hotel again and recommend it.

Great value for money”

The bloc is in an awesome location with beach views and just a short 5 min walk to Bangla road. We were pleasantly impressed with the room size and facilities given the cost, and would definitely stay here again. Only a couple of things to be aware of - the pool opens at 8am but isn’t manned until 11am making it difficult to get a towel before 11am. Breakfast at the coffee club has limited options but we were happy enough to eat here every day. Otherwise all good!
