Exceptional”

I was pleasantly surprised by The Capsule Hotel. If you can deal with staying in a capsule I would definitely recommend it: the capsules, bathrooms and kitchen area is super clean with no imposing odours either. I had no problem getting access to a shower in the morning and was able to make my own breakfast in the kitchen area. A big plus also: THEIR WI FI IS BUILIDNG WIDE! You can use it in your capsule, in the hallways, in the bathrooms or in the kitchen area. This is not always the case. I stayed at two places on this trip to Sydney and despite paying less for the Capsule Hotel it was the better venue. May not be ideal for senior travellers but a definite recommendation to young and middle-aged folks who are travelling on a budget and don't care about lots of space!

you could live in these”

Location is fantastic, in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Lift is a little slow, but I didn't mind - at least it exists and does work. Personally really enjoyed the capsule life - They're spacious enough to sit up comfortably in, and incredibly well equipped, with a host of charging sockets, light and air circulation controls, ledges for putting your stuff, and a mirror to get ready with as well. Although shower facilities were a tiny bit limited (2 stalls per floor; same for toilets) I didn't encounter a problem where I had to sit around waiting for others to be done, or anything. The lounge is well equipped as well. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you!

Great for short stays”

The Capsule Hotel is located right in the city centre, within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. Also just a 5 minute walk to Museum train station, which pretty much opens up the rest of the city. The capsule itself is cosy but not claustrophobic. The TV didnt work in mine and the wifi connection was patchy but I really enjoyed my one night there. The mattress is a foam one but it is fine for short stays. Would definitely stay here again if I had another short layover in Sydney.

Great location but building is a bit hard to find”

I think it would be better if they put more logo or writing of the name of the hotel on the glass wall of the ground floor. The former name Century Hotel was more prominent than the new brand name Capsule Hotel. It is located beside the bank ANZ. The capsule was very creaky. Maybe some gentle music like nature or birds or waves outside the capsule would make the sound less creaky? The Capsule was very quiet. I really enjoyed my stay. The TV had a language option and I picked English but the characters even the logo was still in Mandarin and most movies didn’t play. I just watched youtube instead. The internet was fast and the staff provided me with details about the internet upon check-in. Staff was accommodating, clearly knows what to do, and was efficient. Maybe it would be better if they’d offer towels and state the price upon check-in. Do you provide/sell some toiletries as well? Loved the shower, its has new tile walls for some shower area. However, while I was showering, it was creeping me out when I hear someone talking in Korean outside the windows of the shower at 12mn. Not sure if that’s the neighbour or there must be a balcony somewhere that I don’t know of. Must must must stay :)The sheets was too white that when I removed my black socks, lint is very obvious. I thought I had two pillows yet I realised that the bottom one was the doona. With Agoda, I paid 48$ for a front door-opening capsule for a night. It says here in agoda the check-out time is 10am but at the facility, the check-out time is 9am.

Fine accommodation ”

Great location. Sydney's accommodation is pricey place for low budget travelers as know. This place is just fine. Not great, not bad. This is not hotel, but hostel. Because it's literally capsule style, more 10 capsule beds in one room. Also, bed is just sponge, so I can feel floor. I can heard upper capsule's people movements. However, there is door, so I can keep my privacy. Locker is big enough for one 30inch suitcase. It's with lock. Cleanliness is okay, and I can use microwave, fridge and kettle in the public area. Staffs are kind. Capsule door is safety. I can use and control own light and power. Location is just centre of Sydney downtown.

Great hotel, will definitely choose it again if going to Sydney”

The location is fantastic, japanese food, korean food, fast food, dessert shop, any kind of food shops can be found just right across the street. There's even a supermarket right opposite the hotel. There are bus stop and train station available at walking distance (within 10 minutes). There's also a shopping centre opposite the hotel. The hotel is also very clean. Although the bathroom and washroom are unisex, they are still individual rooms, which can guarantee you privacy and safety. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. Internet is also pretty fast. However, it seems like the wifi coverage is only up to the door of my capsules, which means I cannot lay on my bed when using the internet. However, this is not a big deal for me since most of the time I'm not in the hotel. I will recommend this hotel because of its great location.

Quite an experience”

I like that it’s close to everything especially within CBD and with that amount you’re paying for, it’s really affordable. You get to have some privacy because it’s a capsule and a bit spacious to be fair. It’s well lit when needed and I really had a nice time sleeping in the bed. Although there’s a need to pay for towel and toiletries if you don’t book directly at the hotel. Also, the elevator (which I wasn’t sure) is not working at all so I had to take the stairs all the way to the 4th floor so if you have heavy luggages with you, it’s such a pain to carry it. It’s also busy and loud at night, you can hear the noise from the outside. There’s also a bar right down the floor (2nd level).

Spotless. Friendly. Modern. ”

I thought it would just be a novelty, but it was the perfect spot to stay when stopping in Sydney for a few days. Staff are friendly and helpful and always cheery. The Capsule will be my go to spot whenever I come to Sydney.

Decent place to stay if you like to live in the heart of the city”

Decided to to try staying at a capsule hotel as novelty. For the price to stay in the heart of Sydney, it was definitely worth it.

Excellent”

Fantastic place! Awesome location. Unfortunately, there was construction going on then and it was kind of loud in the morning. The capsule walls are very creaky too so I can hear myself (and others) move. Other than that, very satisfied with the place overall. Would definitely stay here the next time I visit Sydney

I was surprised how close this hotel is to downtown and for that price. The capsule style hotel is a really cool experience. It was also clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Sydney.

Great for solo travelers that need their own space.”

Compared to backpackers hotels and other dorm type places, this one, even though shared space, gives you total privacy in your own room or "capsule". The bathrooms and kitchen are shared tho. They also have ample space in their fridge and has two mircowaves. Also, I love how the place is situated in CBD. It's where the asian scene is and day til' night it's still bursting with life.

Clean, comfortable and well located”

Just off George St the Capsule Hotel is well located 100m or so from THE QVB. There is a Coles across the road with Liquorland, plenty of places to eat, a 10min walk to Darling Harbour and about 200m from Town Hall train station. Hotel is nice and clean, has a well maintained and spotless common area with tables, fridges and an outside balcony if you'd like to smoke as the hotel lobby is located on the 3rd floor. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Capsule was a little squeaky though when you climb up into them or move around inside .

For the Experience”

if you just need a place to stay in Sydney on a budget, the capsule should be ok. location is very central, can walk to the harbor. i got the deluxe capsule with side entrance - so while it's got more room, i found it a bit difficult to reach the control panels to slide my card in/out every time. reception is not 24 hours but they let you know how to check yourself in. it was my first time staying in a capsule and i'd say it was okay but 2 nights is max for me. the building is a bit old; the capsule is pretty lightweight so you will feel the movement of the person in the capsule above/under you. But considering how expensive hotels are in sydney, The Capsule Hotel is fine for a short stay. i will recommend this only for the experience and price.

Everything was nice and clean as usual! However was disappointed at the fact my capsule no longer supported the use of the tv despite being one of the capsule's previous main attractions for me (you have to pay more to use the tv inside the capsule now. a major drawback.). Also, the door handle to my capsule was broken which was not a major factor but did make the capsule seem more deprecating in value.

Bring your own towel and toiletries! ”

The Capsule Hotel is located right above a loud entertainment venue, and the single lift is painfully slow. The heavy doors however manages to block out most of the noise. My first night was awful. Power was cut off to the entire building and the capsules became sweat cells. The construction works on the street that night was round the clock and LOUD. Staff man the desk from about 10am to 11pm. My remaining two nights was okay. Capsules themselves are clean and modern. Also bring your own towel as this wasn't supplied and had to be hired for $3. No toiletries provided either. I'd stay again, but will be more prepared as this is more a hostel than a hotel.

Unique style of sleeping, value for money”

You will be surprised how spacious the capsule pod is. It can fit a 2m tall person and it is wide enough to actually keep your luggage in the pod room too! The pod room is complete and futuristic. In built web TV and lighting and 2 ports of USB charging with mirrors in it too. It also has a safe in it! Guarantee you won't feel claustrophobic. The toilets are shared but plenty so no worries about running short of it. The hotel is located at the 4th, 5th floors and is accessible by lift or stairs. The location is closer to Chinatown area but is walking distance to major tourist attractions (10 mins walk). I would highly recommend to any solo travellers or travellers who wants to experience a different living style and to meet various people from all walks of lives.

Great Privacy + Good location”

I like the privacy the capsule provides, though I know and can hear somebody kinda next to me. I can turn on/off the light anytime. Read, etc. Toilets are clean. Inside the capsule, it could be dusty especially near the divider walls and ceiling. But having allergy to dust, I survived, it wasn’t so bad. I only stayed for a night so didn’t get the chance to use the kitchen or other facilities. Happy to stay there again :)

Only for the young agile traveller”

As a 72 year old I found it difficult to climb into the sleeping capsule, which was on the upper level. Perhaps you can ask for a floor level bed. A little more info about using the capsule controls would have helped; and it would be great if reception gave guests a towel on arrival, rather than the guest finding out you cannot get a towel after reception closes. Otherwise I thought the accommodation adequate.

Will Stay Here Again!”

The location of the hotel was absolutely wonderful! Right across would be the World Square Mall. There are loads of food choices surrounding the hotel. It's also a 10 minute walk to Darling Harbour. The capsule was clean and comfortable. The bedding was cozy.
